Re: Rayman 2
I believe that depends of the achievements of each person. There are games I like to be a completist: really doing everything, including achievements/trophies sometimes. There are other games that I don't bother beating up to a round 100%, and it is mostly enough for me reaching the credits.
Re: Rayman 2
When I play a game I have to get 100%, unless I don't like the game then I just go lazy and finish it without any other stuff.
Re: Rayman 2
I usually try to get 100% unless it requires something such as time trials or replaying the game with harder difficulty.

Re: Rayman 2
Unless I already know a game inside-out, I will do an "initial run" where I try to get as much as possible, but ultimately I would want to complete the game to it's end, once I've reached post-game, I would then attempt 100%.
I do like 100%-ing stuff though.

Re: Rayman 2
I always try to get everything the first time around, but then I am an exploring gamer. I try to find out whatever there is to find and in doing so usually get as near to completion as you can the first time around. I don't really care about 100% something too much, but it's a fun challenge in its own right.

And I usually don't rush through levels as fast as possible - instead, I thoroughly explore them.

Re: Rayman 2
I usually spend as much time lollygagging around in a game, while doing as little as possible in relation to anything other than the main campaign. Not intentionally, I just like progressing through a storyline at a pace that lets me appreciate it to its full extent, and making the game seem to last longer than it might actually last if you just moved through it quickly; that also means that sidequests almost never get done. It's one of the reasons the last time I played through Crysis it took me a good 45 hours, when in reality you can speed through it in 10.

Re: Rayman 2
That's exactly what I do. I like to stretch out the gaming experience, but not in such a way that I'm really just stretching it for the sake of stretching it. For example, in Amnesia, as opposed to running around the rooms being scared as fuck, I'm picking up lamps, books and crates and smashing them against the walls... for the lols. Also, no door is opened normally. This is a very angry amnesiatic (neologism).
Re: Rayman 2
I should play a game again using that mindset.

Haha, exactly! When I first played Crysis 2 for example, it took me ten minutes to get out of the first room, just because I was so fascinated with the incredible physics and interactive detail.Shrooblord wrote:That's exactly what I do. Harf harf, "Spoderman plays games" was my first thought.Shrooblord wrote:That's exactly what I do. Re: Rayman 2
Does anyone have a copy of the Japanese version of Rayman 2 for Dreamcast, if so could you rip an ISO of it, or provide me the link to a place I can download an ISO of it. Please
.

Re: Rayman 2
That's probably going to be one of the rarest editions of a Rayman game available. We have the Jap Revolution ISO, but the Dreamcast one? Yikes.
Re: Rayman 2
Oh' well
, MegaUpload is down so could some provide the new link to download the Japanese version of Rayman Revolution then.
Re: Rayman 2
Unfortunately it is very difficult to rip a DC game.
We can consider it one of the rarest games of Rayman that exists, following the Atari Jaguar version of Rayman 1 and Rayman Garden.

Re: Rayman 2
Already said to a youtuber (could it be you Rayfanboy?) that they should try asking SNESorama for one as they're back up and running and have their requests forum up again. The game itself's actually not like the rarest thing on the planet, seen a few knocking about and not for too much money, it just had to be on a very difficult to extract disc format.
Re: Rayman 2
No, I am not this mysterious "youtuber" in which you speak of. Thank you for the advice though.

Okay, now I'm intrigued. Please tell me more.Haruka wrote:Rayman Garden

I only played this once in a Samsung old mobile phone of an ex-neighbour. The problem is the difficulty to extract the game.
I don't remind a lot what you had to do in the game.

Re: Rayman 2
I've never heard of "Rayman Garden" before...
But there's a wiki article on it: https://raymanpc.com/wiki/en/Rayman_Garden.
It doesn't say a lot... just "The goal of the game is to find all diamonds, avoiding obstacles and Bad Rayman." Very interesting!
