Just watched the update now. Well im not a good writer/reviewer. But to make it short.

Wow just wow. The Scenery,Music,Models, Environment. All is made amazing. Just fantastic.

Music Mountain has to be my favorite world. And Memory realm and Picture City is my 2nd and 3rd.

Oh wow! Those environments are epic! They really make you realise how simple the graphics in previous Rayman games have been... well, at least they're simple when you compare them to this! Now I can see why you need such a powerful game engine. Every area is so detailed... the weather, the sky, the lighting, everything :D
My only complaint would be that some areas are a bit too dark (e.g. Temporal Palace); it made it hard to see what was going on at times. And in those dark areas + Picture City I missed the colours a bit. Having a black-and-white section in Picture City is cool, but I hope not everything there will be like that.
The animations were great and so was the music. So, overall, I'd give it a 9.5/10. Great job! I can't wait to see more!

Glad to see I'm not the only one who can't see very well there and misses some color in Picture City.

This is one of the best looking fangames. No. This is the best fangame ever. The graphics are stunning, the animation is almost flawless (there are some stiff parts with jumping but other than that it looks fantastic), the music is magical and the levels look incredible. Can't wait for the finished game :)

This is already looking to me better than Rayman 3, to me at least. Let's see if it catches up with Rayman 2 ;)

Here we go.

00:00 - 00:15 sets the mood very nicely. The slow, peaceful melody makes this seem very mysterious and "sweet" (I don't know why did I use that word, I mean it just has that great atmosphere). The place looks also very mysterious (it is indeed because it's night-time, that's what makes it so mysterious). The fog (I hope it is a fog indeed) is a nicely-picked detail which makes it even better. The curved tree is very Raymanish (Raymanian? I'll use the word "Raymanish" for every comparison I make regarding things that are really nostalgic for me), and the tall, slim mushroom with the big head is also a nice touch there. The mushrooms are kind of a staple of the Rayman series, but much more subtle than the plums or other elements. It's wonderful to see you also take the background elements from other Rayman games and make them your own style. If it fits, I sits. I see a few more mushrooms on the right, so you see there is a lot of those in the stage (very nice, as people who aren't too much of followers of the game would maybe think the lone mushroom is some checkpoint or something like that? That would actually be silly/funny, I would definitely smile if someone did that). There's a bunch of trees, rightfully as it is a forest, and I'm not gonna say anything about that (they are pretty, though). And regarding the music/sound effects again, I hear animals. That's good. I see fireflies, this is a very nice idea, until they stumble upon a glow worm cave  . The leaves on the trees slowly moving on the wind, another nice touch. This particular scene is perfect, thus I'll continue. 00:16 - 00:26 is another nice moment, with more trees and stuff. I love how one of the two moons (yes?) can be seen, and how bright it is. 00:27 - 00:38 reminds me a lot of the intro from Rayman 3, I'm guessing this was the point. 00:39 - 00:46 - the Lum flying almost towards the camera is a cool idea, though I don't really like the sound it makes. Sounds more like a pigeon. A better sound would be like those "tstststststs" sounds the Lums make in Rayman 2, it sounds like a bug's and it suits them much better. 00:47 - 00:53 looks very nice. I don't know where the redness comes from, but it looks fine. 00:54 - 01:03 is really wonderful, fluent animation, plus I like how it transists. 01:04 - 01:06 is kinda short but it still is sexy grass so it's okay. I see how it transists (ya sorry for using that word again) into Rayman sleeping I guess on 01:07 - 01:14. 01:15 - 01:20 fucking scared me, because it actually kinda looked (what with the lighting) that Rayman had white eyes with no pupils, but now I see it's normal. 01:21 - 01:48 shows us how you work on the music, that's cool, a good idea, though it kind of bothers me how it shows up just out of nowhere over Rayman's head like "oh man, that was a tiring day, I'mma just sleep holy fucking shit what the fuck is that thing in front of my eyes?" but that's just a minor complaint. 01:49 - 01:50 (I think) is beautiful, it reminds me of the Sanctuary of Water and Ice, the moment when Rayman has beaten Axel (oh I love this name) and is going forwards that pillar thingy with the mask, though it on one hand bothers me that Rayman just skips to standing in a different position, and on the other hand, that's what it always was in 3D Rayman games I guess. 01:51 - 01:54 is cool, reminds me a bit of the Bayou mixed with the second race level from Ly. 01:54 - 01:57 is nothing too interesting, though I have to admit that the rain is really good at setting an atmosphere and makes the experience a bit more realistic (even if Rayman games aren't supposed to be realistic :P ). 01:57 - 01:58 - I like the Piranha, I like Piranhas in general. It looks cool. 01:59 - 02:04 kinda reminded me of the Front of Rayman Revolution, mainly the part where Rayman goes from the Minisaurus Plain to Globox's House, though it also reminded me of the entrance to the Rainbow Creek. 02:05 - 02:20 is even more "Rainbow Creek" for me, and I like that. Very Raymanish. Ending this part, I read the description and I see the first part was rendered in 3DS Max, that's pretty damn sweet. You should do all cutscenes this way indeed, perhaps sometimes add a different-styled cutscene for a change? Like if the mood/atmosphere/situation just called for it? Also the introduction seems to be really cool, seeing that the first minute is part of it. This part was really cool, it felt so Raymanish and just... well, epic. I'm not afraid to say it. Continuing, 02:20 is where the Dream Forest part actually starts, eh? 02:20 - 02:30 is very good, I like the hammock and the plants, mainly the red ones, which greatly remind me of the Rayman flora. 02:31 - 02:40 is cool, I like Rayman's walking/running animation and how the world around him looks. This particular part reminds me of Rayman Revolution's Pier with Bzzit and the Baby Globox. 02:41 - 03:00 - I saw another island of the Archipelago, yes? I really like the sand and really every element on the beach. 03:01 - 03:22 - I see here you were showing us the various animations that Ray has while walking and running. I see you took the sprint ability from Origins here, it looks really awesome, and will probably be useful for those speedrunners that don't care enough to appreciate the work :P . 03:23 - 03:39 - once again, I like the mushrooms and how you use them as platforms. The way the Tings (?) look is okay for me. I like the little pathway there is but you can skip (as you can go two ways). The bridge looks well done and I like how Rayman's hair is affected when he's falling. 03:40 - 03:50 - the water looks great and I see Rayman can actually touch it, heh. I noticed that by going by the bridge you get to more Tings, hidden under something. That's cool, as hidden collectibles, or just collectibles that aren't in the main way, are fun to look for and collect. And it makes you feel better about yourself. 03:51 - 04:05 - yay water! 04:06 - 04:09 - yay mushrooms! 04:10 - 04:18 - yay more water! 04:19 - 04:34 - yay even more mushrooms! In all seriousness though, I like that water that's flowing there and you can walk in it. 04:35 - aha, that's sneaky and nice. You walked around the area and came back to the main road. Interesting idea. 04:36 - 04:43 - o, I forgot to mention that the curved bridge is one of my favorite parts of this, just because it is there. There's something about it that I like, can't put my finger on it though. 04:44 - 04:50 - another of those pathways that remind me of Revolution. 04:51 - 05:04 - I don't believe I can describe this part without using the word "atmosphere". Looking at it makes me relaxed somehow, and it looks so peaceful and beautiful. 05:05 - 05:09 - ooo, Green Loom. Nice. The silly eyes are cool, though I get the feeling the Lum would look better without them, but I guess you know better. 05:10 - 05:17 - this I like. Jumping on those was one of my favorite minor parts of Rayman 2, as they were very imaginative platforms for me. 05:18 - 05:24 - whoa, look at that jump. 05:25 - 05:27 - nothing to say, good transition. 05:28 - 05:36 is so beautiful. It reminds me of Rayman 3's Fairy Council, and verily. Raymanish. 05:37 - 05:42 - damn, this is pretty cool. You travel up a hill (?) and find one of those cages. It is probably just me but the Rayman 1 styled cages don't look too good for me in such small size, but that is up to you. 05:43 - 05:58 is nice with the sliding and stuff. 05:59 - 06:06 - I believe this place is just for the looks? It's damn beautiful. 06:07 - 06:28 - ah, it's the same area revisited during night-time! Nice. 06:29 - 06:37 - I'm not sure if this is a new area or another revisit, but for zero reason, the bushes reminded me of the big-nosed bush thing, heh. 06:38 - 06:42 is another of those transition-y parts, I see. Good. 06:43 - 06:51 - I love the reflection of the moon and the moon itself here. 06:52 - 07:23 - this feels amazing. The atmesfur is, again, what really gets you. The fireflies are still there, good, and I see the music is gone, making it even better, actually. The ambience is nice. Overall, the Dream Forest is a very beautiful level. To sum up, I have zero specific complaints, I guess. Well done! Continuing. 07:24 is when the Memory Realm starts then. 07:25 - 07:42 - hm, I already like it. It's even darker and mysteriouser (this is now a word. ~Tomek). 07:43 - 07:51 - that thingy thing in the back looks nice, though I have on idea what it is. A stone? 07:52 - 08:12 is Rayman going back, so nothing to say. 08:13 - 08:33 - oh, is this a showcase/presentation of the various animations Rayman has? I like the idea here. One of his idle (?) poses looks pretty cool. It looks like a winning animation of sorts. 08:34 - 08:53 - looks very nice. The water flow is another great touch, it looks so well. 08:54 - 09:01 - at this moment I realized how useful the pathways will be for people that don't know where to go. Split ways make this non-linear like Banjo-Tooie. 09:02 - 09:08 - and back. 09:09 - 09:20 - nothing to say here. 09:21 - 09:32 - oh, it looks so surreal but pretty while zoomed out. 09:33 - 09:42 - k. 09:43 - 09:54 - oh boy, Gemstone Temple/Ruins! First level I have drawn a sheet for, and one of my favorites also! I see some collapsed stuff there, that's a nice touch, plus I hear the water flowing, and it's perfect as well. 09:55 - 10:06 - the view you have on the water is breathtaking almost, it's beautiful! 10:07 - 10:14 - it's kinda hard to see, but I guess that's the point and what makes it special. 10:15 - 10:20 - oh, that's a nice element. Why do you even need my help in level designing when you have these kind of gems? :P 10:21 - 10:38 - oh, and you even got in there for Tings. Kol. 10:39 - 10:43 - this door looks awesome and mysterious. Very templish (a word. Totally). 10:44 - 11:06 - first, I love the little "cutscene" thing you got there and how it gives you a look on where are you and how does the place look like. And I already recognize the place. 11:07 - 11:50 - ye, it's the Gemstone Temple part from Rayman M/Arena that you even ripped. The way you made it look is genius, plus it's really nostalgic for me to see it. Also eww, Rayman was standing on the spot Tily would stand on in like two games. I love this part and still have no complaints. Sneaky you, didn't let any error/bug/mistake pass. 11:51 - 12:08 - oh holy fucking shit, this is exquisite. The bongos and the background and the everything. I simply love this, I'm speechless and can't say even one word (thus I'm typing them). 12:09 - 12:21 - nice, this segment is really sweet. The music is great as well. 12:23 - 12:30 -ah, so it's just one segment indeed, for now? That's okay, as I'm already loving this. I like the part where Rayman fell in that hole between the bongos. 12:31 - 12:39 - die bitch! Die with your glorious dying/falling animation! 12:40 - 12:56 - eyup, this is really cool. 12:57 - 13:33 - nice recreation! Just needs the lines on the white sheet (dunno how to call it now, before it's really finished :P ). Also what was that at 13:17? It was the original picture, yes? Or am I mistaken? My tired eyes see things a bit blurred right now, I'm doing all this with squinting them. Heh. 13:34 - 13:38 - first thing, two moons! Woo! 13:39 - 13:48 - cave stuff. Reminds me of the Whale Bay somehow, and maybe of the first part of the Echoing Caves, what with the underwater caverns. 13:49 - 13:55 - I assume the upper ledges (not sure) will be used by Ray as platforms or something on a later part? It would be nice to revisit the first/second area, but on a higher level, it gives you that feeling that you're progressing, but still on the same stage. 13:56 - 14:12 - 1. oh god yes, this music. 2. oh god yes, this piranha. 3. oh god yes, the everything. Climbing the stones looks fine, very fine. 14:13 - 14:18 - cool but what was that thing that Rayman did? Also, will you need the hellicopter to make it past this gap? 14:19 - 14:31 - breathtaking view and storm I guess. The look/view from above is sweet. 14:32 - 14:37 - o wait wait! I love the way the music changes as you progress higher, it reminds me greatly of the first Banjo-Kazooie, where if you were on the highest point in the level, the music muted. It seemed so... creepy, but felt good at the same time. Here though, the music changes into something a bit darker, that's good as well. 14:38 - 14:44 - that crack looks weird, but it probably should. 14:45 - 14:50 - pants-shitting. 14:51 - 15:15 - mmm, I like how you can explore the top (I guess) of the place. That's something that every game should have, it makes it very non-linear (oh, and good time to mention, I like how the game looks so open, if you know what I mean). 15:16 - 15:26 - oo, and how will Rayman get out of that? Plums? Hell if I know. Great. I liked this part, though I can't wait for more... you know, Ice. I can see the Volcano part, but some snow and ice should be added on the higher levels there. Stones covered in snow more and more as you progress - that would be sweet. 15:27 - 15:28 - oh god my favorite level, what's it gonna be then? 15:29 - 15:40 - oh. This looks so eerie and... just wow. The giant... thing (clock?) looks mighty fine. The wood is also looking good. 15:41 - 16:03 - oh boy, this really feels creepy and awesome. The fog (which I have already seen in previous videos) is great there. However, at the 16:02 part, Rayman seems to land on the ground a bit too fast for some reason. Not sure why. 16:04 - 16:31 - wow, I love this puzzle thingy. Climbing the gears is awesome, though I don't like how the texture on the "teeth" of the gears looks... er, look. Something just looks wrong, but I guess I'll continue. 16:32 - 16:34 - I see this riddle will be cool as well. 16:35 - 16:37 - that's cool, reminds me of Moody Clouds. 16:38 - 16:40 - ah, indeed it looks cool (that's three "cool"s, you should feel good). 16:41 - 16:45 - oh. Whatever happened, it deserves a fourth "cool". 16:46 - 16:51 - this reminds me of the beginning of the Sanctuary of Stone and Fire, as the beginning has some grass and mushrooms, basically flora, and then you, pretty quickly, enter a whole different, a bit more deserted part. The ground looks good. 16:52 - 17:06 - cool progression, though the thing where Rayman sort-of falls during walking down looks strange, that sliding animation I think I saw would be better in this segment. 17:07 - 18:20 - I find desert and canyon levels really boring, but this, and I'm not being like Burton & Depp, looks simply amazing and beautiful. I don't have much to say, I guess I enjoyed this one. Coming back to Rayman's sprinting animation, it looks kinda silly and reminds me of both the Origins one and the Arena one. Was that your intention? 18:21 - 18:32 - and my third favorite world is in this video as well! Great. This is the wasteland part, yes? It looks very nice, the ink rain and the shitload of pencils make it really special. I guess it's supposed to just be made out of pencils and ink, then? I like the pencil that's going up and down, is it floating on the ink? 18:33 - 18:41 - oh, a crossed pathway/s, nice. 18:42 - 18:53 still looks perfect, and the pencil sticking out of the ink is a great touch. It's funny and yet great how the really small things, small details can make something look so wonderful as a whole. 18:54 - 19:11 - at the end of this part, before this fades into another scene, is Rayman supposed to climb up between the two "walls", like in Rayman 2 or 3? That would be orsum. 19:12 - 19:18 - climbing, I see. 19:19 - 19:20 - oh a pen. 19:21 - 19:32 - the small pencils remind me a lot of this. 19:33 - 19:37 - that reminded me of the fire in the Sanctuary of Stone and Fire. 19:38 - 19:45 - the askew pencils are a nice touch! 19:46 - 19:52 - oh and they are even getting smaller and smaller for a while, cool. Probably difficult. 19:53 - 20:00 - eheheh, and that reminded me of the Sanctuary again, this time the part where you are walking towards that grass field I think and you fall in again. As a child I remember trying to dodge that, heheh. The levels you showed are really awesomely done, I enjoyed watching this and giving out my opinion. Also, Rayman's model is better than any Rayman Ubisoft model, to be honest. I see a lot of details, plus the animations are very nicely done and fluent. Dark Rayman looks plainly awesome, and I see he's doing that idle/winning pose I commented on earlier. The voices are perfect, and Dark Rayman's voice sounds just so evil and menacing. Great. That last line is just... damn. I DON'T Image!!! Thanks for giving us this update and good luck in continuing. Regards Tomek.

Oh and excuse any mistakes or errors, I'm so tired and bored after school, I'm sitting here and analyzing this video. Wow.

And I'm now in a band, dude. Wish me luck :)

It was indeed a very long post; how long did it take you to write all of that?

A few hours as I was also eating dinner, practicing snare drumming and masturbating in the meantime.

Picture City isn't black and white in the video. I think that because of the lighting in that section of Picture City the colors become very pale. Watch it again and look at the pencils more closely.

Your work just gets even more better and better Rayfan, you seriously should be an inspiration to many, you've really convinced me to learn 3ds max (or maybe another 3d program that suits me.) We'll see, not that I wasn't convinced to learn it before, but I think you've further influenced that decision.

It'd be way too much of a reward for me to grasp my hands on this gorgeous gameplay. I am not worthy.
Kidding of course, I am DYING to play this. As you already know though right now I need to fix this stupid problem with my computer.
