Re: Rayman Legends
Rayfan...no offense, but your comparison doesn't even make sense. I'm just trying to say that I defend games, cartoonish or not, if they are GOOD games. It' just stupid that people think a game is good just for it's "graphics", instead of looking for good gaming experiences. Remember when Rayman Origins was announced and a lot of trolls on the internet were like "OH, THIS GAME IS GONNA SUCK, LOOK AT HOW MUCH THE GRAPHICS SUCK, IT LOOKS LIKE A FLASH GAME"? Well, basically that's what I'm refering to.RayFan9876 wrote:sergiomonty wrote:Coincidence, I guess. One doesn't neccesarily differentiate a game for it's "cartoonish" graphics. They're games, good games, or bad games. Just that.These two statements contradict themselves back-to-back. It's like saying that a baby with a scimitar in its head does not have a scimitar in its head.sergiomonty wrote:*sigh* Am I the only one here who is almost 20 years old and can't see what's the big deal with fps games?

Your posts I quoted pretty much said that, in the first one: "A game's genre/graphics/padding doesn't matter as long as it does good for what it is," and then in the second quote, you immediately say "I don't see why FPS games (genre) are so good." It's a contradiction.

Fucking this right here. I go by a saying, "Good graphics don't necessarily make a good game". The same applies in reverse, too.sergiomonty wrote:I'm just trying to say that I defend games, cartoonish or not, if they are GOOD games. I honestly don't see how this is a contradiction other than possibly being a stealth insult aimed at the FPS Genre-Oh...RayFan9876 wrote:Your posts I quoted pretty much said that, in the first one: "A game's genre/graphics/padding doesn't matter as long as it does good for what it is," and then in the second quote, you immediately say "I don't see why FPS games (genre) are so good." And so, the Rayman PC servers imploded due to the enigma it was forced to host...
Re: Rayman Legends
I just got my Sega Dreamcast in the mail, but when I hook it up there is no video only audio, I'm using an av out cable and I've tried it on three different tv sets, any advice?

Re: Rayman Legends
No-ope, I didn't say that. In fact, there are pretty good FPS games.. Looks like you got the part "dull plots" off the radar. I'm just critizicing fps games that don't offer anything new or at least interesting.RayFan9876 wrote: "I don't see why FPS games (genre) are so good." It's a contradiction.
Again, let's put it in a pretty easy list:
-I defend cartoonish games if they're good. The stereotype of cartoonish games being "childish, therefore bad" gets on my nerves.
-I don't hate FPS games, I hate repetitive fps games with god damn stupid plots. I never said every fps game was like that. That would be a stereotype, and pretty contradictory, because I wanna try Zombi U, and I love Team Fortress 2 (and even if it doesn't have a plot, it's humouristic tone makes it unique)
-In fact, I hate when a company tries to sell you the same crap but just a bit upgraded. Not only fps games, even freaking Mario is doing that.
Made my point clear now?

Re: Rayman Legends
I personally like Twinsanity's music, it did sound different to the more...instrumental themes from the PS1 era, but I fell that they still suit the game well.

From those who are buying the game, will you mind describing us the stuff with detail? And hiding possible spoilers with transparent text too.

Sorry, which game exactly? Twinsanity is an ancient (computer time-wise) game, so I don't think a lot of people would be hurt with us talking about its music.Haruka wrote:From those who are buying the game, will you mind describing us the stuff with detail? Re: Rayman Legends
Sure thing! We did a similar thing when Origins was coming out, so I'm sure we'll be able to do it again. So, for the newest users, this is how you make something a spoiler:Haruka wrote:I'm talking about Rayman Legends.
Code: Select all
[color=#FF0000][SPOILER][/color]
[[color=transparent]This is a spoiler.[/color]]
Then simply highlight the spoiler to be able to read it.
[This is a spoiler.]

Re: Rayman Legends
Oh hahaha I had forgot. Well, yes, I don't like the music at all. Sometimes it even got annoying, like in N. Sanity Island. The only tracks I recall liking are Rooftop Rampage, Evil Academy (both outside and inside) and N. Gin's Ship.Master4lyf1 wrote:That is what I believe Shroobie refers to.TeensieKing wrote:That as a pretty good game (though I hated the music). But the Titans were a really bad idea. And now you know why the forum needs a spoiler bbcode. Oh, and about the time Twinsanity was released, it was 2003.

EDIT: Remember the purple enemies? they're tagged as "Minotaur" on Rayman's official facebook. Somehow, It makes sense... they have horns, and are allied to bigger Minotaurs. To the wiki, now!
EDIT2: Uhm? whut? Rayman's facebook uploaded something new

...hm... what would it mean? Rayman Legends adaptation for Smartglass? ...or maybe.... *gulp* a remake of Rayman Origins for iPhone?
