I have absolutely no idea what that means.
I have a feeling it is the same as "Ich denk that ça είναι bonum".

Also, it's great to see you're already improving it. Keep going! :D
As for the gaps between all the drama: It wasn't very clear from the video though as most of it had a really dark, dramatic atmosphere. But the way you describe it looks pretty good so well done :)

Aha, alright. It seems so obvious now.

I guess the load of dramatic atmosphere here was a bit of a coincidence. It's still quite dark indeed as a whole, but it's not constant like the video might have shown.

Ok, cool. Then that level's gonna be really cool.

First of all, Rayfan, you are my hero in the arts of 3D modelling and animation, second of all, I watched that video and cried glitter at how amazing it was, third of all, last night I had a dream you released some kind of demo/WIP thing and I was playing it. :o

I'm not 100% sure yet but I may have to permanently ban myself from here. I'm not exactly sure why but I don't want to get into any further trouble (if I have gotten into any trouble.)

Ahah, thanks! :) Funky dream as well, I feel a lil' flattered.

AGH. No, you're not in any trouble! The only 'wrong' thing you've done is respond to a bot, and I used to do that all the time. It's nothing to feel ashamed about, and aside from that little thing, you've done absolutely nothing wrong. Believe me, I would tell you if you were doing something wrong, and you're doing absolutely nothing wrong and beating yourself down for no reason.

No, no they don't.
R3fan2, it's alright. Just calm down. Have some plum juice.

So RayFan, what is your approach on the game, development-wise? I myself would begin with the physics and get all the actions that Rayman could do together, so I could then fully focus on level design with all the moves exactly as they should be. You seem to do all of the things at once. How's that working out? Do you run into particular problems? Do you notice particular points where you think you're better off doing it your way than what I intend to do? I'm interested, da's all.

I sort of do whatever I feel like at the moment, as long as it makes sense. For example, I'm not going to write a script for a scene that I haven't already designed, and I'm not going to design a level without a plan. Level-design-wise, I create the general shape of the level, then web I've implemented the respective mechanic (helicopter, shooting), I add in that part. I have also created path-guides that I can place around that show me how far he jumps in height, length, with helicopter, with helicopter, without helicopter, and so on. Like I've said before, I make the music before I design the level.

At the moment though, I'm focussing very much on a the mechanics, while adding beauty/detail to the other levels I've started/made.

Hay, I'm back. I watched the update video and must say that I am amazed with the animations and the environments. Especially Picture City, with all the washed out colours and ink rain (though I've seen them before, they look soooo good in motion!), environment-wise, (Music Mountain and the updated Dream Forest are looking great too,) and the fist-throwing and ledge climbing(!!!!), animation-wise. (If this sentence can be made sense of, with all the brackets and commas :P)
I was simply awestruck by the subtlety but effectiveness of the facial expressions too.

Also, finally seeing the Gemstone Temple from Rayman M after reading so much about it was great! One thing though, is that it looks kind of bland now, with this repeating, dark texture on most of the walls. But I suppose that this is going to change, right? (The gem above the doorway is an awesome detail though!)
One other thing I noticed that looked slightly off, is how crooked Rayman's hair looks while he's falling (when it's fully outstretched). Is this an unavoidable evil that results from using bones in the hair?
Lastly, the lighting on the front of his nose looks rather angular (like at 2:26, 11:33 or 25:49).

The overall quality of the graphics is very high though! The environments look great (like I said above), with another honourable mention to the Ice Volcano, and Rayman's model is so detailed too. I would say it's perfect, except for these minor gripes. :)

Oh. One more thing, I think that the dashing looks slightly too duck-like now. I think a good guideline would be Rayman's animation from Rayman M when he runs over a dash pad.

So, overall, I must say that I am thoroughly impressed and amazed :) Great work, RayFan!

EDIT: I just saw your reaction on a question about translations under the update video. Can I help with the Dutch translation? Being as picky with grammar as I am, I hope I could be of some help!

Wait, I'm seeing somthing in this grass...

AAAAAH ! Rayman was hidding himself into it ! He scared me  !

Btw this grass is well designed. Not only textures, but the lighting and especially this kind of dark green is pretty well chosen. However the grass on the background seems to be less dark. Is it due to it is not covered by the shadows of the leafs of a tree ?

Aha, it's your grass texture, I just used a new method of dispersing it to make it a lot more 'filling.' :)

Ah yes, now I see it too! That does make it look better!

Edit: I just remember this funny animation in a game where when a character fell from too high, you'd see them fall flat to the floor face down. That was really funny to see.

And I think I'll retexture the miniature Moskito today, but I'm not sure.
