Oh yeah, is your processor still in liquid state, or has it cooled down (and started working again)? That thing surely would have set something like cloth on fire if it was touching it. The heat...

Edit: just in case, the comment ballz on fire is prohibited. ;)

Was. But then I was really un-motivated to do so.

You said his processor when he clearly said graphics chip, so if that were the case, it would only be integrated graphics. Google knows those overheat at such low temperatures I don't even. But knowing Shroob, he probably has an external graphics card, so it would have nothing to do with his processor. Then again, I don't know which it might be!

If it is integrated, CPUs usually overheat at around 50c, which is still easily holdable.

Mine overheats at 100°C. Fortunately it never reached that, but it's still almost always around 70°C.

Holy man, that's pretty hot. What CPU? (I guess 50 is reasonable for a lower end - something around an i3, which I assumed.)

My old GTX295's heatsync dislodged, it would constantly idle at 90c and overheat at 110. I didn't think a CPU would get nearly that hot.

Same thing here , 100ºC? Are you sure your CPU doesn't need to be cleant, Dessy?

I don't think my CPU ever passed the 40ºC as far as I'm aware. I have a huge fan/cooler side to it.

Let's make a sig in which I make one half and you make the other, with none of us knowing what the other person will do, and then see how it turns out!

Not even kidding here, people might like that.

Yes, it's an external graphics card, an NVidia GeForce something. However, I'm not sure if it's actually the card that's frazzled or the motherboard itself (by Polokus, let it not be). When I start up the computer, instead of showing a black screen with a blinking underscore in the top-left corner, it shows a screen full of 'sigma root-of-e z' symbols. Very weird.

I looked up the temperature in the BIOS settings and, from being off the whole day before, the CPU heat went up to around 45 instantly (just by turning it on). Not sure what that means. Then, just by remaining in those BIOS settings, the CPU gradually heated up to 56 degrees Celsius. This is when I decided to just turn it off again; not doing anything special and already gaining 11 degrees looked a bit dodgy to me. I'll see what my father and I can find out and I'll tell you guys all about it (if you'd like to hear). I also have no idea what temperature it was when it happened; something went so wrong, that not even a BSoD appeared - it just died.

Meh, Neo hasn't replied yet. Anyone else interested in doing that thing I suggested with me?

100°C is the overheating temperature according to the constructor, as I said it never reached that. Mac I get is 80°C.

Yep RayFan, i3.

Can the deadline be moved just a little bit? Otherwise I'm not sure the collab will be done in time.
