That's quite huge. I hope for poor Rayman that he won't have to carry that thing around! I still love your Tings by the way. They're quite brilliant, in the original sense of the word.

Heehaw, I actually got inspired by the Lum Spring mode in Rayman Arena.

But yeah, the plum will be that large. If you want a size comparison between a few things, here ya go:

I like how you decided to put Bad Rayman (or is it Dark Rayman?) there just for the hell of it. :P
Is that keg the familiar exploding barrel?

So it seems that the plums are more like the size of those in Rayman 1.

Fitting for a game that places itself between Rayman 1 and 2 :)

^Exactly! I actually came up with that reason a while ago, but forgot why I liked them that size. Once again you've strangely reminded me of my own past thoughts.

@Shroober:
Dark Rayman, and yep!

It looks great in the engine! However, do you think it's possible to fix the missing leaf tips?

I've got something else in store for you later, Rayfun. I think you'll find it very useful.

Ah, whoops, it looks like the missing leaf tips were a result of the meshsmooth. :P Fixed now.

And what could this be? I'm suddenly very intrigued.

Not your today. Maybe your tomorrow.

P.S. Maybe Rayman should roll that plum around. It's not like he was capable of jumping with that thing in his hands.

P.S.S. Launch it with a catapult.

I never thought I could be awestruck by plums.
But I've been proven wrong.
I also like the more "cartoony" style you've given the Keg/Barrel, it's what I would have likened them to be in Rayman 1's style.

Just as a little thing inbetween:
Remember what I said about the pointy lighting on (Dark) Rayman's nose in the massive update video? It is visible on the screenshot you posted as well.

Just thought I'd mention it again, since I'm wondering whether it's fixable or not.

It's purely a lighting glitch that for some reason is the result of exporting him as a character instead of just a plain static model. You can actually see that the lighting glitch is all over his body:

Hmm. On his shoes, the higher contrast looks much better, I think. (Though I think it does lack some orange that way)
But I thought that the pointy lighting on the nose had to do with the way the polygons joined together at the tip of the nose and that maybe if you made it so that the tip of the nose had a flat polygon facing the front.
I mean like this:

Though of course the polygon would be much, much smaller than that :P

I wonder if they made the character models less quality in order to even out the processing power needed, because they have to animate and collide as well?

Nay, they're the exact same:

It's all a matter of smoothing groups though, not the angles of the vertices. If you have a relatively positive smoothing group, the lighting should entirely ignore even a sharp point and shade it as if it were a dull, round surface.
