Re: PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale - Rayman?
I just googled TMNT Smash-Up, where there are three playable Rabbids. That's a fighting game.

Why don't they just put Rayman in there??Rulez wrote:I just googled TMNT Smash-Up, where there are three playable Rabbids. That's a fighting game.

That game was released during Rayman's dark age, where he lost all relevance, the biggest highlight of that time was when he cameoed in that football game.schmooky.luke wrote:Why don't they just put Rayman in there??Rulez wrote:I just googled TMNT Smash-Up, where there are three playable Rabbids. Re: PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale - Rayman?
I don't find the Rabbids a marvelous addition to Rayman franchise, but I recognize RRR1 as a marvelous addition to Wii line-up from financial standpoint. Remember that it not only made idea of people buying Wii for Nintendo games become popular far later than it would happen otherwise. It also gave some cash to Nintendo as they get a few dollars from third-party Wii games too. So from Nintendo's viewpoint, RRR(1) was Rayman's strong point.sergiomonty wrote:I underlined every part that clearly indicates that Rayman's history was better with Sony (also considering that Rayman 3 was still released on PS2). Way Better. It's more varied with Nintendo? sure, but not better, unless you consider the Rabbids a marvelous adition to the franchise.stan423321 wrote:This is subjective to say the least. Sure, R1 didn't release on Nintendo console - because there was no Nintendo console capable of playing it at the moment. It was the SNES/Virtual Boy era in America then, and both consoles obviously weren't suitable for the thing. Later, R2 got 2 versions specifically for Sony consoles, because one of them was underpowered and one of them was overpowered. That's it. Afterwards we had R3 with slightly better Nintendo deal, RRR series designed around Wii (consider it a Rayman's sacrifice for Nintendo), RO which got everywhere with really slight premiums for lonely Vita owners and RL. I wouldn't call that a better history with Sony.
R2R got its merits, sure. But go and compare R2R and RL. R2R is a remix of previous Ubi game made as a launch game. RL is a sequel of previous Ubi game made as launch game. Not only R2R sounds worse, it happened 12 years ago while RL is happening right now.
R2 PS1, on the other hand, is a painful case. It features voice acting and 3D Lums! And that's all of its merits. The stage design is more bittersweet than anything else - sure, it's good, but it reminds you all the time that PS1 couldn't handle regular levels.
Also, Rabbids in SSB are a longshot too. But that's a thing for another topic I guess.

I have one question...they're coming out with a SSB 2?stan423321 wrote:Also, Rabbids in SSB are a longshot too. But that's a thing for another topic I guess.
When did you say you wanted them??sergiomonty wrote:Dude... I don't want Rabbids in SSB, I was being sarcastic

Yeah dude, it's been out for like a year, maybe two, maybe eleven, it's called Super Smash Bros. Melee.schmooky.luke wrote:I have one question...they're coming out with a SSB 2?stan423321 wrote:Also, Rabbids in SSB are a longshot too. But that's a thing for another topic I guess.

I was refering to the series as a whole if that wasn't obvious.schmooky.luke wrote:I have one question...they're coming out with a SSB 2?stan423321 wrote:Also, Rabbids in SSB are a longshot too. But that's a thing for another topic I guess.
Also I didn't consider you wanting Rabbids, like I didn't consider RRR1 being better than R2R, yet I state RRR1 matters more to Nintendo than R2R meant to Sony. I did consider you comparing the odds of Rayman and Rabbids joining the game without personal biases.

That's a surprisingly accurate observation there, boy.Rayman502 wrote:Pillow ain't as hard as a chair
Let's see what kind of movesets the two characters could have, because both have potential, whether we like it or not. Rayman could throw his fist, where Rabbids could wield plunger guns. Ray could do a set of melee moves and so could Rabbids, maybe with implements. Rayman could grimace and the Rabbids could do their 'DAAAaah' thing. There's more examples, but both characters could turn out fun - and that's coming from someone who despises the Rabbids.

I'm not saying the Rabbids are bad...I like them its just that they wouldn't be as good as Rayman.Shrooblord wrote:That's a surprisingly accurate observation there, boy.Rayman502 wrote:Pillow ain't as hard as a chair
