^ This.
Dark Rayman is how the character got translated in Rayman Advance, that I also find incorrect.

But he has been named Dark Rayman or DarkRay in every instance aside from a non-canonical Rayman Designer, even in Origins, a major installment. I think we should take the hint that his name is meant to be Dark Rayman/DarkRay.
Re: Rayman 1
DarkRay is the worst fucking name ever. It looks like a file name somehow. Dark Rayman on the other hand is great. Bad Rayman is queer.
Re: Rayman 1
Dark Rayman sounds better than Bad Rayman for me. That's all

Re: Rayman 1
They didn't give him any animations, he's literally the Rayman entity with a pallet swap. All they had to do is make the player simultaneously control Dark Rayman as well, but have the inputs reach him with a delay.Shrooblord wrote:Wait, they gave him a grimace animation, all coloured and animated correctly, even though he will never use it? That's funny. What surprises me more is not that the sprite is there, but that it's even coded into the game that he should use that particular sprite at that time.

That does actually make a lot of sense when thinking about it.

Smart. Also, you have reached binary perfection. Now you will cease to post or the Universe will end.RayFan9876 wrote:They didn't give him any animations, he's literally the Rayman entity with a pallet swap. Re: Rayman 1
Did you know you can skip MR Sax? I found out the last time I played you can destroy the six cages in the first level and go back to the map.

Re: Rayman 1
The most interesting aspect of that sequence break is the fact that you can get valid passwords after you do it, even though there's no logical reason for them to exist. For example, there's a password that lets you fight Mr Sax and Mr Dark, one right after the other, without quitting. I think there must be a password that actually lets you play all of the levels as if you were accessing them for the first time, which would be extremely convenient for those of us who like replaying one-off levels (bosses, etc).

I think my favourite one-off level has got to be the final stage of Allegro Presto. I love those wrong notes moving along the staffs, I wish they had appeared more often in Band Land.
Re: Rayman 1
It is hard to point a single level for me, but my favourite world is the Caves of Skops. The tranquility of the music matches with the lonely Rayman in the dark caves.

A single level for me is very difficult. But my favorite world is the Dream Forest. The world is easy and I like the backgrounds and the musics

I DID IT!!! I've beat Rayman 1. By the way Master4lyf1, Mr. Dark says he can't give you the ten years of your life back, but if you and/or a loved one have suffered year deduction of life expectancy you may be titled to a compensation in Tings if you file in your claim to the Clown & Co. Law Firm located at the intersection of Cake Ln. in the Candy Chateau. Call Now!

In the french version of Rayman Origins. Dark Rayman's name is not mentionned. He's only refer to "le clone maléfique de Rayman" Rayman's evil clone.RayFan9876 wrote:But he has been named Dark Rayman or DarkRay in every instance aside from a non-canonical Rayman Designer, even in Origins, a major installment. Re: Rayman 1
Great job. I need you to do me a favor, go to Allegro Presto and on the 2nd level, tell the trumpets they owe me 6 years of my life. If they say bite me, then use your fist or do a new game and use the grimice.Rayfanboy wrote:I DID IT!!! I've beat Rayman 1. Mr. Dark owns me around half an year of my life.
Re: Rayman 1
I got out my old copy of Rayman for PC today, I might play through it sometime. I was curious though does anyone know of any gamepads that work with this game when running it on a Windows XP computer? I have an old 15-Pin gamepad it worked beautifully on my Grandmother's old Windows 98 desktop, she doesn't have it anymore.
Now I use an N64 Controller to USB converter.

Oh wait, he ran off when you beat him, that coward.
In all seriousness though, congratulations!
