Being optimistic, or at the very least realistic, I think is the best thing to be in that situation. Moping irritates me ever so slightly.

Well, at least he's twenty, not fourteen like most people on this site who seem to have relationship troubles.

Ey, true. I tend to sink in a pit of self-pity for at least a few weeks in which I no longer really see the world as brightly as before. Kinda pathetic, I guess, but it's my way of dealing with it. Afterwards, the world is bright and amazing again - just like it always should have been.

I guess fourteen year-olds seek more support from a community they entrust, or are at least accustomed to, whereas more adult users would keep these matters to themselves.

There's that, then there's also the fact that they shouldn't have gotten themselves into such a crummy relationship in the first place. I don't mind if it's a nice, innocent relationship, but seeing as that's not what 95 percent of early/pre teens are going for, it bothers me.

I'd like to be able to contribute to this somehow, but the only relationships I've seen developping around me between people of my age (of course we aren't exactly preteens anymore) were what I would say healthy relationships lasting at least half a year. Now that may not seem that long - and you're right - but for most teenagers, that is a feat in its own. I for one couldn't imagine what it'd be like to be one of those 8 year-olds who've already "had nineteen boyfriends" (or girlfriends in my case), but I can't imagine that what's going on there is really all that serious.

Now if you were to ask me personally, you'd get a completely different story, but I'm not sure you really want me to post such a novel.

Most of the people I've been around are the "8-year-old with nineteen boy/girlfriends" type, even those my age when I was thirteen and fourteen, because I was aware of how ridiculous that was.

+ Has a desire to watch Ghibili movies instead of the TB movies because TB's movies were crude and they had bad Italian Dub. Ghibili movies are beautiful like My Neighbor Totoro and Spirited Away... Also i have a reason...
