No, the plant is also there where the characters are sleeping. I'm telling you it's the same one that Rayman has been eating the fruits from.
Oh, I see now! however... what's the point of adding it at this point? suddenly they want to be more detailed with the crappiest port?

They could at least have tried to keep a 60fps, even if that meaned sacrificing a little more the graphism. And the music/sound effect glitches are also awful, I don't know how these pass in the quality control.

I don't think the maps were simplified in Rayman Advance. It actually used parts from both the PC and PlayStation versions of the game.

The simplification isn't that significant, but it is noticeable. The same case comes with Rayman Origins, the changes were minimal, but it's clear that it's design is pretty inferior.

I don't know why they're even trying to port it to 3ds... It's the Rayman Legends era now... it's too late, and the gameplay, the music and the graphics are completely awful in comparison to the original home console/ps vita version. If I were the developer, I would feel ashamed and cancel it.

Indeed, I'm not sure what they're thinking trying to squeeze out that 3DS port. It's going to do more harm to your company than good, Montipellier.

Is Montpellier even handling the 3DS release?

No level design simplifications were made except for the removal of the first Bongo Hills level and the closer 'impossible jump' in Allegro Presto (due to the sliding speed being a lot slower).

I certainly hope not.

The battle against mr Skops is easier in the game boy advance beacause there is a cloud appearing.

Thought we already knew that Ubisoft Casablanca handles most 3DS releases now but nevermind, hated the demo of Origins 3DS so much. -__-;;

I'm pretty sure Rayman is a little bit bigger in Rayman Advance... the level design feels too tight.

The field of view is a lot smaller. Rayman is the same size.

Can you please give me some examples of map simplification?

What I find funny is that someone from Ubisoft said that the 3DS version of Rayman Origins looked gorgeous. Let me laugh! :mryellow:

This is not an example of simplifaction anyway. RA was specifically designed to be easier, because to be honest original R1 was already a pain to get through, and the screen issues are there neverthless. And, in fact, most boss battles that were screen wide are screen wide. So it only makes sense they would make some things easier. In this specific case, PS1 player could easily see the possibility of hanging, but the lava level from the view of GBA player is uncertain.

Well, in my opinion it is a good example. At least that's part of what I'm trying to mean

It's not simplification though, the simplification at hand is about hardware-related simplification. That means removing or modifying things for the sake of cutting down on memory. Adding a helper because the player cannot see the danger has nothing to do with saving memory, in the same way that adding an extra health point doesn't.

Thats very nice, im one of those rare organisms who actually likes the Magician as a teensie, which is weird as I usually go apeshit when one of my childhood icons gets a significant makeover *COUGH* entire cast of Crash of the titans.
