And why do you think I stopped using them soon afterwards? Because I realised they were stupid. Using these images to communicate an emotion is bad enough, but attempting to tell an entire story with them is just embarrassing. I like memes – just not terrible ones.

That one is probably my least favourite meme of all. There is no 'satire' here – just a shitty MS Paint image getting shopped lazily and pointlessly into other images. How it caught on I'll never know. Hopefully the people who spread it will one day mature enough to cringe at their previous behaviour.
