I think the word you are looking for is "Neutral".BzzitTheMoskito wrote:I think that's a little too strong. I would rather call him anti-hero/villain. Re: Rayman Legends
Well, it depends on how you interpret it, let us not forget he teamed up with the robots in Rayman 3 GBA.schmooky.luke wrote:I think the word you are looking for is "Neutral".BzzitTheMoskito wrote:I think that's a little too strong. Some may view his actions and conclude that he is evil, others may say he is neutral. Some may even say his actions may have a greater purpose, and so on.
As for me, I like to think of him as the Hades of the world, not exactly evil, but feared.
Re: Rayman Legends
I didn't realise how cool another game with Jano would be. He has such a short appearance in the games hes in, yet plays a big role in it, too.

Re: Rayman Legends
Jano has always been one of my favorite characters, and when he was mentioned in the RO guide I hoped he would at least get a cameo. Ah well, maybe in Legends.RayTunes wrote:I didn't realise how cool another game with Jano would be. He has such a short appearance in the games hes in, yet plays a big role in it, too.

Re: Rayman Legends
Jano is confined to the realms of the Cave of Bad Dreams. He is its guardian and its master, but he has no powers in the mortal world. Even if he had an evil shindig going on, he wouldn't be able to execute it. The only allegiance he seems to have to anything is an alliance with (or mastery over) the Zombie Chickens. And let's face it; an army or ragged bones with cloths isn't exactly the best force to conquer the world with.sergiomonty wrote:Jano isn't a bad guy... He is just not a good guy. Actually he works pretty much like satan... if he's such a mighty bad guy, why doesn't he just conquer the world? and if he punishes people for being bad (particularly, Rayman for being greedy), does that really make him a bad guy?
Jano's evilness basically just gives balance to the world. He's the Yang of the Glade, while Polokus seems to be the Yin.
Whether he is truly evil or not is up for debate, but where did you get the notion from that he's punishing Ray for being greedy? He showed up on his doorstep in order to get a magic elixir that would cure his friend's severe ailments and what did he get for it? A bad trip. And a trip to the underworld. Of course Jano is only challenging him, but running into him and trying to then devour Rayman isn't exactly a simple punishment. He even warns Rayman beforehand that he'd better hurry his pace, because if he gets to him, he'll have hell to pay.

That's punishment.
Re: Rayman Legends
According to the First Nightmare, Jano was creating a lot of Darktoons/Antitoons. Didn't he have powers at a point in the beginning?Shrooblord wrote:He is its guardian and its master, but he has no powers in the mortal world.

He creates them, but they appear to have control over themselves, they seem to do whatever they want... some seem to have joined Mr Dark, while others apparently just live in the Land of the Livid Dead with the Grannies...

Re: Rayman Legends
Jano FTW forever he needs a return already
Maybe Jano is supposed to have lent the Magician part of his Darktoons in Origins. Actually, it could be cool if Rayman Legends' story kinda explained what happened in Origins. If Legends even has a story.sergiomonty wrote:He creates them, but they appear to have control over themselves, they seem to do whatever they want... some seem to have joined Mr Dark, while others apparently just live in the Land of the Livid Dead with the Grannies...

Re: Rayman Legends
The Wii U eshop will have several demos on the first day. Hopefully, we'll get a demo of Rayman Legends.
Re: Rayman Legends
I changed the poll since RL is not a release title anymore. Vote again, guys.

Re: Rayman Legends
I'd love to get a Wii U, I really would, but I'd like to see what the other two have on offer before making that decision.

I posted footage from an interview in which they explained that 'Legends would have a bigger story than 'Origins had.TeensieKing wrote: Maybe Jano is supposed to have lent the Magician part of his Darktoons in Origins. Re: Rayman Legends
I might reconsider it but I'm not very interested in Wii U. It's a lot of money for a song which's games I know little about. If I knew something about Mario kart U I'd probably have a more solid decission. Even if I asked for a Wii U for Christmas chances are I'm most certainly not getting it anyway.
