Seriously though, the entire setup doesn't make a lot of sense. If stealing the Book of Knowledge creates even more chaos than stealing the Great Protoon (; Protoon: monsters; Book: instakill monsters, plus a hell of a lot of ordinary ones too), then why doesn't he just steal the book the first time around?
Who all thinks The Magician is Better in R1 than RO??

Well, according to certain quantum theories, that is indeed possible.

Because he saw the book and thought "Ew, reading is for nerds" and he saw the Great Protoon and thought "Oh cool a big shiny glowy orb thing"PluMGMK wrote:Well, according to certain quantum theories, that is indeed possible.![]()

Quite off-topic, but THEdragon is now the dragon chef king.
I can certainly see where the sarcasm can be detected in his voice, but I think, personally, that it was just a style of speaking - it's not necessarily sarcasm, but it works and I think it could very well be true that it is.PluMGMK wrote:Remember how sarcastic he was in the intro to R1?

There is nothing impossible, my friend, nothing is impossible...Master4lyf1 wrote:Because if the educational games exist, so does the possibility of our world existing in the Rayman universe, which I've never been a big fan of.
Also, there are many universes in media, which have something same like our world. So why Maths and languages or even prototypes of real places can't exist in Rayman's world? Photo camera, for example, is also our world's item, but there is photographer in Rayman's world too.

But do these worldly concepts have to come from us?
For all we know, the people of the Glade may have Polokus to thank for dreaming up maths.
We know technology exists in Rayman's world, as we have the Robots and other devices used in the games.
But I don't like the educational games being canon as they reference places in the real world.

Not all of them. Rayman Junior, aka Amazing Learning Games with Rayman, takes place entirely within the Valley. However, the world map is substantially different.

R1 Magician all the way. Its design is way more original and cool. Plus he was a good guy.

Why the hell do people think he was a good guy? He was a money changer ffs! He was a mercenary at best.
Re: Who all thinks The Magician is Better in R1 than RO??
I'm sure he was intended to be a good guy around the Rayman 1 era. I know the educational spinoffs are rejected from canon but they do sort of show us what Ubisoft made of the character.PluMGMK wrote:Why the hell do people think he was a good guy?
