yeah would be awesome, I know the rayman 2 port has been done to death, but basically an ultimate HD version with every nook and cranny from every version in one package is needed too, Moskitos and Darktoons running round in one game  Dunno about some of the revolution stuff such as the hub world though..

Some have said they'd rather have R1 remade in Origins' style, in honesty, I'd rather they stuck with the original style if remaking R1, and merely improve the resolution and clarity of the graphics, among other enhancements and tweaks of course.

Please not in Origins style. :boon:

I would rather prefer a mixture of 2D Side-Scrolling with threedimensional effects/models.

3d models? I'd rather stick to the Rayman Origins style, I'm sick of 2.5D games :boon:

No, but seriously, a remake of Rayman 1 with the Origins' engine wouldn't work. Both games are completely different and have a different pace. Just imagine the fast as fuck Rayman navigating the Blue Mountains. He would die a lot with those spikes surrounding the level. I'm... not against the arstyle, though... If they're able to recreate the original backgrounds of Rayman 1, I would be fine with it, Rayman's sprite seems ok to me, he just needs a more neutral face expression. Let the silly faces for the grimace, please.

This is the worst idea I've ever heard.

Coming soon: Rayman Generations! Rayman meets his younger self with giant eyes and an 80's haircut, one plays 2d levels while the other one plays 3d levels! :dango:

Sad part is, I would slightly enjoy such a game. First, I'd have to actually play Sanyk Generations. I hear it's kinda fine.

Since when do people from the 80s have hair that looks like an upside down banana skin?

I personally prefer Rayman's 80's banana peel hair to his shaggy 'Trying to appeal to the cool kids' hair.

To my idea this style change was more of an attempt to make it look more like actual hair. But everybody has their own views on this.

Haha, I have always thought the same, though for different reasons. I see so much lost potential in RO to be even more awesome, but I guess remaking wouldn't be a good idea in Ubisoft's perspective. It's like writing the same book again with a few differences.

Still, if that would be a hobbyist's remake with professional team and working, that would be awesome. But then it wouldn't be hobbyish and then it would be Ubisoft doing it, and then it would be writing the same book again and that's inappropriate.. Confusing. Sorry.

Are you kidding me? that's the exact reason why Rayman had that old banana peel hair. By that time, that haircut was very popular, so it was supposed to appeal "cool kids". He was like "Oh, look at me, I'm motherfucking Alf but without limbs". I prefer x1000 his new hairstyle, not the one that is attached to his head from Rayman 3, but the hairstyle from Rayman Origins. It is for me the perfect spot between Rayman 2 and Rayman 3, a messy, blonde-ish and sort of innocent hairstyle divided in two parts, but without that orange part eating the rest of his face.

And of course, without looking like him:

How is the Origins hairstyle between Rayman 2's and 3's? Rayman 2 had the most clean-cut and orderly of them all, Rayman 3's turned a little messy, and Origins' is down right shaggy in every sense. In no way can Origins possibly be a cross between 2 and 3.
