Re: Rayman himself
I don't believe the golden frame actually suits this masterpiece, which I believe should be displayed as such.

Re: Rayman himself
Well well well, look at this recent post from Didyouknowgaming

I know everybody here knew about that fact, I just wanted to point out that they dedicated this caption to rayman.

I've seen this on Tumblr a while ago! It made me smile seeing it.sergiomonty wrote:Well well well, look at this recent post from Didyouknowgaming![]()

Re: Rayman himself
But according to a source with japanese roots, the "death" fact isn't quite true. Lets say that the purple colour is quite common on Japan, but it isn't really known the reason of the colour change.

Re: Rayman himself
Spyro should be considered the demon himself, lol.
Re: Rayman himself
If the death thing is true, I prefer to not think what the brown colour motivated the japanese to change Clark's clothes to green...

Perhaps they just thought he was too boring without.Haruka wrote:If the death thing is true, I prefer to not think what the brown colour motivated the japanese to change Clark's clothes to green...
And yes, purple is in fact the colour of death in japanese culture.

Re: Rayman himself
Then I don't get it why a person with japanese roots told me it wasn't really the case... oh nevermind. I guess I'll pretend I heard nothing.

Re: Rayman himself
I think it might be one of those over-saturated elements of culture, and I'd assume that post people in Japan wouldn't care.

Hunch told us that it was nonsense, but apparently it's not completely so...
Re: Rayman himself
I think Spyro actually was made a blue dragon in Japan at some point.sergiomonty wrote:Spyro should be considered the demon himself, lol.

Who could imagine that that would turn into this

Re: Rayman himself
Huh. Well I'm sure I remember reading that at some point he was blue. Maybe my brain's just making crap up again.BzzitTheMoskito wrote:Dosen't look like it.THEdragon wrote:I think Spyro actually was made a blue dragon in Japan at some point.

Ewww, Skylanders.sergiomonty wrote:Who could imagine that that would turn into this
I miss The Legend of Spyro series..
Anyways, back to Rayman.
Edit: THEDragon, he did get recoloured on all versions later on with a slight more blue.
Re: Rayman himself
Man, does anyone else find it as annoying as I do when Rayman fancharacters look too much like Rayman? It's like, it's not like the artist wasn't being original, it's like they INTENDED for their character to dress just like Rayman.

Re: Rayman himself
I find tedious all of the Sonic OC's and people drawing Rayman wearing jeans and with a female counterpart. It's so... corny.
Re: Rayman himself
Don't get me wrong, there are some really cool and original Rayman fancharacters out there, but I just wish people didn't try so hard to make them look like... Hardcore Rayman fans XD
And yeah, limbless characters with pants/sleeves tend to bother me too ._.
