For oldschool fans it's great, movie is a little cheesy at times, but still had it's fair share of good momentsAdsolution wrote:Hmm.RayTunes wrote:If you're looking for a better gaming movie than The Wizard, this is it.

Skyfall
I don't have a whole lot to say on this one, I think it's one of the best Bond movies to come out in a long time. The bad guy was great, the action was fantastic, we got to hear more about Bond's backstory, and it was very gripping. I also can't forget to mention the stunning opening song sung by Adele. Not only does it sound great, the visuals are unbelievable. Take a look if you haven't seen it; don't worry, it's just a visual showcase, there are no spoilers of any kind:
Sorry, there's no official releases of the opening sequence, but you can match it up with the official music release here:
It sounds so dark, hahah, it's beautiful.
Anyway, of course, the movies does have a couple flaws here and there. The smallest one to begin with is the pacing, mainly toward the end. While it's a very, very well paced movie, some of the scenes, especially the one where James is chasing the bad guy all over the city, feels like it goes on forever. Every time you think it's reached the next part, nope, more chase. It's not entirely a bad thing I guess, but it does make you feel a little anxious to get to the next scenes.
Secondly, the characters, almost solely notable at the final scene in the church, act kind of stupid. Why did everyone just stand around in that church as if the conflict was resolved, when it clearly wasn't and they were in danger? Some things like that just seem to be there because "the plot says so." Another scene like this might be where the train crashes just in time through the passage. How did he know that would happen...? But nevermind that, that one was just more badass than an actual problem, because it was really, really cool.
Lastly, this is more of a personal preference, but Bond seems a bit too human here. I mean, he is a human, but he feels a bit ordinary, and he's rather inconsistent with what he is physically able and not physically able to do. He doesn't quite come across as the super agent he does in other films.
Those are all small things though. The movie is excellent, and I recommend that everyone see it.

The song is great, and I get irritated by Adele's music quickly, so this be a gem. I liked that Bond's personality has some minor tweaks here and there, as it fitted well with this movies look on him. Brosnan always felt a little too perfect for me.

I wouldn't say "absolutely" amazing, some jokes and scenes was just too exaggerated. But hey the movie is awesome still, but not perfect.Keane wrote:The Hobbit is absolutely amazing.
Imo.
