I cannot praise the composer enough for having come up with these two tracks especially, my personal favourites:

Those two are among my favourites aswell, from Rayman M. I also love the music of the Gemstone Temple and from the Shadow Plains.

I'm surprised there hasn't been a single mention of the beautiful soundtrack of the brilliance that is Rayman for the GameBoy Color.

Playing Spellbound Forest in a room with other people can be a great tool for causing irritation.

I think the style of the music depends on the type of game. Rayman Origins is a 2d platformer with cartoonish, colorful visuals, and Rayman 2 is a 3d platformer with a darker tone. The ways how the games are presented affect the soundtrack. One example is New Super Mario Bros series, with their wacky "wah wah" songs. It's ok, but nothing special if we compare it with Super Mario Galaxy.

Two songs. The exact same franchise:

If the next 3d Rayman game is announced (which in my opinion shouldn't be called Rayman 4 because Origins and Legends are canon) they'll probably return to the serious-magical theme that it had before. That includes the music, if Michel Ancel knows what he's doing, of course.

Now I realise I didn't say this in the active conversation, but I have said it before.

@sergio:
Interestingly enough though, both games were orchestrated (in part) by the same Mahito Yokota, whereas Rayman's soundtrack is composed by different people in every game. I think the exception is Legends, am I not mistaken? But then, Legends is basically a continuation of the workflow of Origins in nearly every aspect; it still uses the UbiArt Framework, it's done in the same artstyle, though enhanced, etc.

*sigh* Everytime I hear Rayman's version of Black Betty, I suddenly grow a beard. I know not everyone in this forum likes the idea of having remixes of trademarked songs... but Jesus... their presentation is godly awesome.

My brain's gonna go fireworks the day I'm able to play Rayman's cover of Eye of the Tiger. Just.... epic.

By the way, here's the Trailer for the demo

The music at the beginning is so cool! BTW the level Castle Rock seems to have captured Teensies now, implying that the gameplay now will require more skill.

I downloaded the demo, it's a whopping 557MB meaning that it takes over an hour to download. Finally since Rayman 3, Rayman actually talks, sure there's no voice acting (which would be a lovely touch), but at least there's a speech bubble. Rayman speaking in full sentences! I just can't get over the fact that he's speaking, Globox is too! Anyway, New elements have been added in to the exsiting stages, such as one of the Teensie cages has been relocated, hearts come in phials now and are quite scarce. If you collect Lums in a stream starting with a purple one, you can double your score without Murphy having to paint them. as well as the secret room with the wheel's level design has been simplified. In the Collection of Heroes area, music from RO plays.

I hate GameExplain's André, his comments are completely out of place and he even called Rayman Origins "the original Rayman". He also thinks that Barbara is "the girl from Brave" . But well... at least he decided to try the entire demo.
The characters available are Rayman, Goth Teensy, Grand Minimus, Barbara and Toad Globox.
Weirdly enough, normal Globox is not available.

I got to play Legends with the gamepad now (horray nobody was hovering around the WiiU mouthbreathing over it!) but I still don't know what to think of it. At least the gamepad was comfortable.

I think Ubisoft is being pretty wise this time. They remain silent and don't show spoilers or important footage. So far we've seen like... 5 levels and the story is barely told on the website. Rayman Origins filled our mind with deep stories about a God who only wants peace instead of being worshipped.
Yeah, sure, the Magician's betrayal was kind of mindblowing, but the whole thing was ruined when the final battle ended being the Moskito level shown during the E3 Conference.
Also... R.I.P Mamma Hité.
And R.I.P, script explaining the story of a bullied Magician who wanted to be like Mr. Dark and take over the world not because he's simply "evil", but because he wants order in a world where God is just an old guy who doesn't do anything productive.
