I never understood the scare of Slenderman, it's like Dead Space 2, dumb jump 'scares.'
Re: What games are you currently playing?
There's epic videos on YT where people are screaming when seeing him. Hahahahah, that's just a man without face. Nothing scary.Adsolution wrote:I never understood the scare of Slenderman, it's like Dead Space 2, dumb jump scares.

Re: What games are you currently playing?
I can see plenty of potential extreme-scares with a faceless man, but Slender provides none of them with this guy that just mindlessly chases you.
Re: What games are you currently playing?
He isn't chasing. He just APPEARS.
Downloaded Amnesia demo...Soon I'll try it.

Just finished Far Cry 3, and Assassin's Creed 3 just before that, I highly recommend Far Cry 3, it's a cracking game and it looks beautiful, especially on PC. AC3 was ok too, but not great. Just started playing Left 4 Dead 2 and really wanna play the rest in co-op mode but no one I know has the game

Re: What games are you currently playing?
^I share virtually your exact views on Far Cry 3 and Assassin's Creed III, like I posted a page or two before. However I will admit, now that I'm at Sequence 9, ACIII is starting to grow on me.
Re: What games are you currently playing?
FarCry 3 sounds good, but I haven't played any previous games of this series.
3 more games to play. Ouh.
Now I'm playing 1st Assassins Creed. Good game, so far.

Re: What games are you currently playing?
You really don't need to play Far Cry 1 or 2 beforehand, they are entirely unrelated in plot, and although I did enjoy what I played of Far Cry 1, and Far Cry 2 was decent, I found 3 to be vastly superior.
Re: What games are you currently playing?
Thank you for info. Maybe I'll play it.
Re: What games are you currently playing?
Playing Oddworld: Abe's Exoddus for PS1, however I don't know how, I deleted accidentally my Rayman 1 save from PS1 so I'm also playing R1 at the same time.
And I'm playing also Rayman: Hoodlums Revenge.

My friend recently gifted me Left 4 dead 2 and I've been playing the crap out of it! Steam or Xbox live?MrBadGuy wrote:Just finished Far Cry 3, and Assassin's Creed 3 just before that, I highly recommend Far Cry 3, it's a cracking game and it looks beautiful, especially on PC. Steam, I assume your friend got it in the same sale as I did, when it was £3.74 or something ridiculousRayfist wrote:My friend recently gifted me Left 4 dead 2 and I've been playing the crap out of it! Steam or Xbox live?

Re: What games are you currently playing?
I find Left 4 Dead incredibly boring. It felt incredibly dated even at release.
Re: What games are you currently playing?
Finally playing Assassin's Creed 3, but on PC. The new controls are incredibly annoying at first but you learn to deal with that after a while. But its annoyance got me to the point that I almost quit halfway through the tutorial. Maybe I'm just a bad player. But the fact that Ubisoft even recommended PC players to use a console controller for the PC game, I don't like where this is going. Thankfully it's the last chapter.
Other than that, having a create project on Little Big Planet 2 and enjoying Christmas events on Guild Wars 2. In GW2, holiday events are twice as fun!

Really? I found the PC controls incredibly easy to use, even easier than the ones in the previous games (which is why I have no idea why Ubisoft recommended a controller). I'll lay out the controls I use:Spanex wrote:Finally playing Assassin's Creed 3, but on PC. The new controls are incredibly annoying at first but you learn to deal with that after a while. W/A/S/D - Move
Left click - Attack
Right click - Precision Mode
Space - Jump
Left Shift - High Profile
Left CTRL - Interact
E - Eagle Vision
C - Weapon Wheel
I really like how they combined the climbing controls so you only have to hold down High Profile + Move. I don't recall if the tutorial explains this, but the addition of the jump button makes it so you can take 'dangerous jumps,' aka, jumps that would most likely result in you taking damage or jumps that you may not make.
It's basically the same as in older games, except holding down High Profile now allows you to climb as well, but won't let you take any risky jumps until you hold down Jump.
Try out my control scheme, see if it helps.
Re: What games are you currently playing?
I'll give it a shot. Though I always use Q by default for weapon switching in any games.
If you use E for eagle vision, what do you use for interaction? Or does it not get switched?
Edit: Forget what I asked. I'm tired as heck and I wasn't reading good enough.

Re: What games are you currently playing?
I've also been playing Assassin's Creed III for PC lately. Can't say I'm very impressed so far. And as usual, I don't care for the story at all.
On a related note, did anybody else find the story in Halo 4 to be significantly worse than the previous games'?

Re: What games are you currently playing?
Hahah, I just use CTRL for interaction because it works better for combat when blocking and doing throw counters.Spanex wrote:If you use E for eagle vision, what do you use for interaction? Or does it not get switched?
Yeah, it was a bit of a let down, especially for fans of the series. I am however very impressed by the new systems they use like optional objectives and the upgraded combat and free running, I wish they'd made way better use of it in the story and missions.Tobbe wrote:I've also been playing Assassin's Creed III for PC lately. Almost nothing that happens in the game story-wise is interesting and the missions are generally are quite dull, especially compared to the previous games. Though I will say that Sequences 9 and 10 (just finished 10 yesterday) improve a lot over the previous sequences gameplay and story-wise.
I agree, though I don't think it was straight-up awful. The Masterchief-Cortana sequences were excellent, but the whole thing about the Didact I didn't really like.Tobbe wrote:On a related note, did anybody else find the story in Halo 4 to be significantly worse than the previous games'?
Re: What games are you currently playing?
Still going through the new Paper Mario. The boss from world 2 was incredibly hard.

Hey hey hey, Dead Space 2 was a lot worse than the original but there's nothing dumb about it.Adsolution wrote:I never understood the scare of Slenderman, it's like Dead Space 2, dumb jump 'scares.'
