I'm doing that thing I don't usually do right now: retro-game. I'm playing through Ocarina of Time again. It's been a loooong while.

OK...
I've never actually played any of the Zelda titles, nor have I really been very much interested in them, not sure why exactly...

My first Zelda game was Twilight Princess and it did hook me until the end. And its said it isn't the best of the saga.
I just give up in Starfox Adventures. Something I totally hate in this game is the first person controls. You have almost a nano-target to move, and when you move is too fast, regardless if you just push gently the analog stick to the sides. The fast flying enemies do not help in the accuracy. When you are shooting, you almost rape your Gamecube controller's A button to do significant damage before dying first. Finally, the first person camera moves so much that it looks like I'm inside Reflux's vortex magic in the Arena of Destiny of the Desert of the Knaaren, ready to vomit in the whole crowd. This, was very badly designed, and its a pity because the rest of the game is enjoyable. Why this excessive controlling difficulty? Why not a target lock, or more powerful shots, or a slower target movement, or less enemies, or even a slower first-person camera movement? *End of rant*

@Haruka
Play Star Fox 64, that one was the absolute best.

I loved Star Fox Adventures, potentially even moreso than the 64 title.

Recently, my friend let me borrow Donkey Kong Country Returns and I have to say it's a really fun game, I may even say I like it better thank the original (DKC). I've found myself getting angry at times but it's that kind of angry you just want to keep on playing. I have to say it's my personal favorite Wii title.

There is absolutely no way DKCR is better then the original trilogy.
The original trilogy defined the power of the snes, and the soundtrack were incredible.

Re: What games are you currently playing?
Hey I said "may even" be better than the original. I still love the original and everything about it. Though, I have to give it to Retro Studios who did a fantastic job on reviving the series since RareWare left. The soundtrack is still superb as DKCR is practically just remastered music. So I think DKCR is better than the original (not the whole trilogy, since I'm just comparing this with DKC 1) it's just my opinion.Rayfist wrote:There is absolutely no way DKCR is better then the original trilogy.

I got it last month and I'm liking it so far.Bradandez wrote:Recently, my friend let me borrow Donkey Kong Country Returns and I have to say it's a really fun game, I may even say I like it better thank the original (DKC). @Rayfist and Ad
I can stay I liked the game until reaching around 80% of conclusion. Unfortunately the game triggers me seizures (dizzyness, headaches and motion sickness) in a matter of minutes because of the camera and flashy lights.

Re: What games are you currently playing?
I picked up a Wii U and am currently playing (surprise, surprise) Nintendo Land. But also Trine 2 and Nano Assault Neo.
This also gives me a chance to finally complete some of my Wii games, like Skyward Sword and Epic Mickey, since our Wii stopped reading disks about a year ago (and we didn't do anything to repair it until a month ago, but that didn't really help either. The motor seems to not have enough power to spin the disks. They rotate a fraction of a revolution and then stop again).

Re: What games are you currently playing?
As I got the Wii U recently I've played Nintendo Land, and I got surprised. I admit I wasn't expecting this game to be that enjoyable!
But still I think this game is even better when you play with friends/family than when you play alone (which is my case because I am an only child and that my parents don't play with me :p ) so... Can't wait to get my hands on Rayman Legends!
