You know I thought of that one for an instant, but then I remembered that most Henchmen in Rayman 2 (PC) are Red.

In any case:
There's the ones that curl up like balls and walk and jump about;
there's the ones that stick onto people's heads until said people are smacked in the face;
there's the ones that lie dormant with their mouth wide open until some unfortunate passer-by crosses the path above them, at which time they jump up and snap their mouths at them.

Basically, all the Antitoons that were present in Rayman 1 are now present as Darktoons. The only ones we're missing are the flying ones and those that jump up and then rocket off to the side of the screen when they see you.

I'm going to say it's a Baby Chenille, just because he's just had parasailing Henchmen like five seconds ago and I don't find it very feasible they'd throw another one in only seconds later, even though I seem to remember there is another attack by something else...

This is Revolution, not The Great Escape. The key difference is that the section with the Jumping Eyes has been replaced with a boss battle of Boss Chenille (I think it's called).

If i remember correctly, there is a caterpillar in the entrance of the temple, then if Rayman connects the crystals, Boss Chenille will arrive. So my entry is caterpillar.
