okay sorry i did not know that rule thank you for telling me that
Re: Rayman Raving Rabbids
Out of curiosity, has anyone had any problems playing RRR gba? When the game initially came out, I noticed it was pretty difficult to play not because the game itself was hard, but because there were so many bugs. I'm not sure if it's because the game was actually that buggy or if my cartridge was fucked up. For example, in the dark levels at the end of the game, every time I changed into the disco clothes the graphics would become glitched to all hell, and it became impossible to see where I was going. Occasionally I'd run into the spinning rabbids twirling around mid-air.
I'm currently replaying it and experiencing a few of the same problems I had so many years ago.
EDIT
Yeah, that bug is still there. Sorry for the crap pictures, I can't exactly take a screenshot of my gba's screen. You can still make out what I'm talking about, though.
On the level Filthy Corridors, when you get to the area with spikes and two of the robot cyclops rabbids, when I destroy them with the disco costume the entire screen becomes a mess of pixels that are hard to decipher, and the area where I had killed the enemies starts looping animations of discoloured random characters. I'm also playing with an American copy of the game. Has this ever happened to anyone else, or is my cartridge just bad?

EDIT 2
Alright, I finished it again and the game is stupidly easy from how I remember it. Even with the graphical glitch, which only happened in that one level by the way, I was able to get through the rest of the level with relative ease (albeit I had to guess where I was going to land a lot of the time) and only missed a cage because I couldn't see the ledge it was hidden on being completely obscured by the mess you guys saw above. I did a second play through of the level and had to sacrifice health to get past the part with the two cyclops rabbids. The graphics only fuck up when I destroy them.

Re: Rayman Raving Rabbids
That's wierd, I happen to own two cartridges and none had glitches. Did you try to verify the slot from your GBA and the cartridge itself? Blow air to both and make sure the connection parts aren't contaminated.

Re: Rayman Raving Rabbids
And if blowing doesn't work, a slightly moistened q-tip might. Many carts do tend to glitch when they are simply just dirty.
Mind I did lose one of my saves for no reason once.

I'm just reminding, does anybody reminds Academy of Champions? Its funny how as soon the game got released, nobody else heard about it since then. I guess it was really that bad.

Re: Rayman Raving Rabbids
The only thing that I remember about that game was the glimmer of hope it gave for Rayman fans given he had a cameo there.
Re: Rayman Raving Rabbids
Does anyone here own, or knows someone who owns that game?
Re: Rayman Raving Rabbids
I make sure to check my cartridges and discs as well as the system I'm playing the game on before playing every time as a precaution. RRR gba has done this since it was fresh out of the box. Even after checking again and again, even using a moist q-tip and ensuring the gba slot is completely clean and testing it on my ds as well, the graphical glitch still occurs when I destroy the two cyclops rabbids at that one section. The only way for me to get past that part without triggering the glitch is to jump through the area without killing them, which always results in losing a large portion of health.
I'm pretty sure it's just a defect in my cartridge, though I won't know for certain unless I get my hands on another copy of the game and play it for comparisons.

Oh man, I myself totally forgot about it, the only thing I remember is Rayman being in it, nothing else at all, and the way Rayman looked was very odd in it.Haruka wrote:I'm just reminding, does anybody reminds Academy of Champions? Re: Rayman Raving Rabbids
It's been a long time, but I remember that bug. I could reproduce it every time, it was very annoying. I remember having to do something counter intuitive to avoid the bug. I'm pretty sure it's just the game build itself, but who knows if it has to do with the U.S. cart or what? It's definitely not just your cart alone though.Slogbait wrote:Out of curiosity, has anyone had any problems playing RRR gba? Is there an ending for Rabbids Rumble or is it just a play forever type thing like Rabbids 2 (outside of 100%ing scores or whatever)?Cairnie wrote:Oh god Chicken shoot...
Well I got Rabbids Rumble in the mail and while it is average in whole, I really find the "arena" mode rather fun; it has RPG elements to it like Pokemon and maybe even Fire Emblem (idk as I didn't play the GBA one for that long); the other minigames are a bit boring though, and there are AR minigames as well which are really fussy with light.
Re: Rayman Raving Rabbids
Try asking Cairnie since she's the only one owning Rabbids Rumble.
