Re: Rayman Origins
Just talked with Ad about the problem. We agreed that it does look cleaner... but doesn't reach the quality of the xbox 360 version. Part of my enthusiasm seems to be explained by the fact that I used an AV cable instead of component, and that's why the visuals freaking sucked on my tv. Obviously, with the HDMI cable, the game does look a lot better.... you don't even imagine how awful rayman origins looked on my wii

Re: Rayman Origins
I didn't though Rayman Origins did look too bad on the Wii. Probally because I don't sit 2 inches infront of the the big flat screen. If you want to play any avi console on a HD flat screen TV. set your TV's video setting to "Game mode" that actually makes your game playable on the flat screen with no need of the HDMi cord. But it will apear a little blurry if you sit 2 inches infront of the TV. screen.

Re: Rayman Origins
By a minuscule amount, but yes. Much cleaner though considering your usage of AV cables on the Wii.sergiomonty wrote:We agreed that it does look cleaner...
Re: Rayman Origins
To be honest I use a Component cable on my Wii. Rayman Origins doesn't look really bad in here but it isn't definitely 1080p of course.

Re: Rayman Origins
My Wii came with an AV cable, what's going on?
does everyone have a component?
Re: Rayman Origins
Sergio, my Wii console also came up with a AV cable at first, and I was forced to use it in the first times of its life. The thing is, later I find an official components cable being sold in a shop and I bought it since my TV was supporting that connection.

Re: Rayman Origins
Unfortunately, RayFan's right, except maybe on the native resolution of the 360 version, which I once heard was 720p (thus upscaled to 1080p), but I am not able to confirm this.Adsolution wrote:That makes no sense, stop making shit up. Firstly, upscaling to 720p is lower quality than running it natively in 720p, and secondly, the PS3 and 360 versions ran natively in 1080p.sergiomonty wrote:I just discovered that by playing the Wii version of Rayman Origins on Wii U, you get a perfectly beautiful version of the game, upscaled to 720p. It looks exactly like the Xbox 360/ PS3 versions

Sergio is just getting mercilessly beat at this point. Grab his feet!
That would be strange, given that the 360 has much more VRAM than the PS3 (allowing it to process the game's incredibly high resolution textures which it's almost solely composed of a lot better). But, it's not the first time there have been totally nonsensical performance issues like that.Hunchman801 wrote:except maybe on the native resolution of the 360 version, which I once heard was 720p (thus upscaled to 1080p), but I am not able to confirm this.

Do the Nymphs remind anyone else of the princesses from Castle Crashers?
