Re: What games are you currently playing?
That's odd. I suppose I can say then that the battle mode I don't like quite as much in the GameCube version; the race mode is better though.
Does it crash on entering the level?
Does it crash on entering the level?
Re: What games are you currently playing?
When you are about to enter, yes. Just before the characters appearing. I noted in the issues page about the problem but so far it was never fixed except the cutscenes.
Re: What games are you currently playing?
I've started playing Football Manager again. There's no way I will pass the 2nd year medical exam now.

I much more prefer the PS2/PC versions of Rayman Arena (Rayman M for others). The Gamecube version totally had some up sides though, great for a Rayman collector.

Studying for the RotD multiplayer mode, eh?Adsolution wrote:I'm playing through Rayman Arena on the GameCube, having just gotten it. Wow! While I don't like the interface as much, the graphics and level design are highly improved/altered, turning it into almost a new experience.
Yesterday I picked up a little game called Wario's Woods for SNES. It's a falling blocks puzzler and while it is pretty confusing in the beginning (especially with the moveset (yes, moveset. You control a Toad in a tree instead of controlling the falling blocks)), it does have quite a lot of depth to it.

Unfortunately, this is not the case for our users, who are supposed to ignore them.Adsolution wrote:I think spambots just suddenly got a quintillion times better at their job.
Re: What games are you currently playing?
I also agree in that. Ad, you should have reported instead of replying.

Re: What games are you currently playing?
Well, I didn't 'reply' to it per se, I made a statement toward the beginning of an unrelated post. But k.
Re: What games are you currently playing?
We know that, but when it is to ignore them, its really to not reply regardless if it is directed to the bot or not. ^^' Other members already use the report button to avoid to reply them indirectly. (You can also comment when you report a post, by the way)

I thought it was a rather interesting remark - I know we're not supposed to talk about them, but one could admit that their intelligence seems to increase. Maybe that's why we should stop talking about them.
Re: What games are you currently playing?
There's the Off Topic too...

Re: What games are you currently playing?
I guess that's valid, yes. Maybe we should open a discussion on bots (both spambots and actual robots) in the Off Topic some day.
Re: What games are you currently playing?
Back to the topic, I decided to use Stacey's trick in the Dolphin emulator for the crash of Rise and Shrine and it really avoids the game freezing in the start (Pressing the A button a lot before the loading finishing and in the moment of the start of the level) so I got able to pass through. I believe I can complete the game for the first time now, its just a matter of time. And if FRAPS holds the game well, I might do a walkthrough for Rayman Arena.
It disappoints me how the battle mode got ridiculously easier in terms of gameplay, although I find more clever the tongue of fire working like Mario Kart: Double Dash's Mario & Luigi special attack.

And that is? Homing shots? I always liked the auto-targetting ability of players with controllers for this; the shot would already fire exactly at the intended target, without the need to correct the aim with respect to gravity and distance.
Can you play the level normally on Multiplayer mode without it crashing?

Re: What games are you currently playing?
I didn't test the multiplayer yet, I'm still in the way of completing it alone at 100% for the first time.

Re: What games are you currently playing?
I bought Wario Land 2, Wario Land 3, PSX Rayman and PS2 Rayman M at that used products shop I bought Wario's Woods at. Rayman M suffers from framerate issues. What a shame!
Also, that Rayman disc I bought (for 0.95 euros
) is black on its readable side instead of reflective. Is that normal?!

All the PS1 discs I remember were black on the back, unless it's just for certain regions.

Re: What games are you currently playing?
True - my LAPD: Future Cop CD was also black. I thought that made it look bad-ass, as none of my other PS1 discs have it. I guess it's a locale thing (I think my other PS1 games are all from Holland).

Heh, that's cool! It does indeed look bad-ass :]
