Re: Rayman Legends
I'm not sure why people are so surprised about the ports themselves. With every major Rayman title released thus far, there have been a ton of ports that came along with it.
Re: Rayman Legends
I agree with that, you Wii U owners have waited long enough. I'll be able to hold off until September but still release Ubisoft should at least release the Wii U version now because the game is already finished . Also there's a petition online to keep the original release date for the Wii U.sergiomonty wrote:Bullshit. The game is done, I don't want trailers, I want the freaking game in my hands now. PS360 owners can wait.

and Murphy onto the second, it'll fit greatly. XD
"I have a port."
"We have Murphy."

Yes there is Murphy on the box art, so I modified it.

I guess we will just sit here and contemplate about all of this until September, and watch this ending to Beyond Good & Evil, wondering why Ubisoft doesn't care about pleasing their fans anymore.

Don't even try to force it.
Re: Rayman Legends
If I understand what you mean, the Wii U only owns one demo for RL that includes 3 playable levels. The problem is that you can only run it up to 30 times or else it gets blocked.Slogbait wrote:Doesn't the Wii U already have a crapload of RL demos as it is? Re: Rayman Legends
Most if not all of the people complaining on Facebook, official Ubi forums and so forth are just some of the biggest nutcases I've ever seen. I've never seen anyone even go as far as going on a HUNGER STRIKE over it; you guys tell me since when did a Rayman fan ever said something as stupid during the Rabbids saga.
Re: Rayman Legends
So the complains about the Wii U delay are much more massive compared to the happy people about the ports. This is getting ugly.
It also reminds me I also intended to record a walkthrough of Rayman Legends and in September it will be very very complicated. Three plans ruined. I guess I'll have to wait for a PC version instead and cancel my plans for a Wii U walkthrough.
EDIT: Apparently in order to "calm down" the angry Wii U users, Ubisoft is preparing an exclusive demo for the Wii U:

Re: Rayman Legends
We might be able to do a PS3 walkthrough now that we have a PVR...
Here's the nut from Ubiforums who's threatened to go on a hunger strike, it's just shocking as fuck.

Dear ubisoft higher ups and developers.
This recent move you made not only upset many gamers, but also hurt Wii U owners some of whom bought the system just for this game. I was one of many fans who wanted a Wii U to play this game and when you pull this unnecessary move, which is why as this Saturday, I have gone on a hunger strike to protest your recent decision to delay the Wii u version until September and will not eat until you reconsider your plans and release the game on February 26 regardless.
Oh, and I'm not moved by that exclusive demo you've got coming. We do not want another demo, we want the actual game right away. I'm sure a lot of fans will agree with me on this one.
Also, there was a recent petition to release the Wii u version on its original release date and as of this writing, it has gotten over 4,000 signatures meaning there are lots of fans demanding you reconsider. Here's the link. http://www.change.org/petitions/ubis...-for-the-wii-u
You are not fooling us fans, Ubisoft. Unless you change your plans, my hunger strike will continue. And deleting this thread will just tell us you don't care.
And fans, if you are with me, please sign on this thread and on the petition link. It's the only way we can force Ubisoft to reconsider.
Thank you.

Re: Rayman Legends
There's called being dedicated, and then there's being completely obsessed and insane.
Apparently, no fanbase is free of the overzealous.
I didn't really follow the fanbase during the Rabbids saga, I trailed about a bit, but I never saw what reactions occurred, but blimey, I have never seen the dark underbelly of this fandom, and it creeps me out knowing there are fellows who'd go that far.

Re: Rayman Legends
That hunger strike thing is over obsessive and stupid.
I'm in no way surprised by the angry fans, besides the hunger strike post. There's no wonder people are angry. That was a very dirty move on Ubisoft's part. I bought a Wii U because I like Nintendo the most and I wanted more games, but there is many people who bought a Wii U mostly to play Rayman Legends. Now after this release date change, they've realised they've wasted almost 400€. To that you can add that it's not the first time that they change the date, and they did it the same fucking month it was meant to be released. And there's also that Wii U users don't understand why the hell they can't release Wii U version on February and release the other versions in September. I'm also pretty pissed off about this.
That article has two mistakes. The first one is that Wii U isn't struggling to stay relevant because it already is. The second is that it referred to XBox 360 and PS3 as Wii U's 'HD twin-playing brethren'. Wii U is HD too.Haruka wrote: http://uk.ign.com/articles/2013/02/08/u ... ayman-demo

Re: Rayman Legends
Holy cow, it even arrived to the point of a gamer being in a hunger strike?
I can't deny he isn't right but he's equally crazy.
*Sigh* As I've been saying since yesterday, I'm not mad after the decision. I'm sad. Sad after people that bought the system in purpose to play the game (while Ubisoft ensured they wouldn't make ports because of Murfy), sad because of their excuse of releasing all at the same time while the Wii U version is finished (Come on, they didn't seem to care about this back with Rayman Origins. Ports came much later and everybody was happy.), sad because of the (majority) outraging Rayman community and sad because of having ruined three of my plans I had for the game and penalizing me by delaying to a freaking difficult month for me. (New N Tasty comes out at the same time) In the meantime I'll have to save for both games but if I haven't enough for Legends I think I'll buy New N Tasty first (digital-exclusiveness makes it way cheaper than a retail game) and eventually waiting for cheap auctions or to have enough to go to a shop and buying Legends. Lets hope the genius behind this idea is happy for the negative effects it brought unecessarily to the company, I think the damages would be much less if no delays were made. Why they didn't save the port reveals for E3?
@TeensieKing Ubisoft also delayed Rayman Origins in the month where it was going to be released (December 2010. In that month they announce one year of delay) and there were mixed reactions. One year later people that threatned that Ubisoft sucked bought the game anyway.

Re: Rayman Legends
I'd like to add that the new exclusive demo thing is just a little distraction like when a baby starts crying and you show him something shiny so he shuts up. The demo doesn't make up for the situation at all. It's gonna be like 3 levels more, and that will take us like 1h to play through at most.
Also, it's now possible that I'll wait for a price cut in the game. There are 6 games I'd like to have all being released this year, and now Rayman Legends is very close to Pokémon X/Y. I'm very sorry Rayman, but Pokémon X/Y goes first. Also Mario Kart for Wii U is supposed to be released before December. And I'm keeping my eye on Pokémon Mystery Dungeon Magnagate and the Infinite Labyrinth for 3DS. And my current savings will go to Luigi's Mansion 2. So it's gonna be hard.

Re: Rayman Legends
Sadly I need to agree that another demo isn't going to calm down the storm. People want the full game now, not a new demo. Damages were already made. I think they only have two chances now: or they release the game in the end of the month anyway or next month, or they wait for September but they'll suffer the consequences of having slow starts thanks to AAA titles of many kinds that are being awaited by players in the same month. Its up to them.
Note: I checked the Miiverse today and its scary how there's more than 30000 messages in the European/Oceania section while weeks ago it was less than 10000.

Re: Rayman Legends
To be honest if I had bought Wii U for Rayman Legends I'd want to break it in whoever made the date decision's head. I'm sad for those people. Those who, in times of crisis, bought a new 350€ console to play Rayman and were now let down. Ubisoft's just stooped so low in my opinion.
Re: Rayman Legends
You have other point, the crisis that Europe acrosses doesn't make the lack of exclusiveness swallow well to those who spent 300, 350, 400€ in purpose...
