The story:
On a peaceful day, a very dark and dangerous storm arrived to The Valley.
No one knew where it came from, but it was obviously not a good thing.
Everyone hid inside their homes, waiting for the storm to pass...
Suddenly, a very big and noisy lightning bolt full of dark energy hit The Great Protoon!
It got filled with dark and mysterious energy. Now The Great Protoon was not a good entity anymore and
it was creating something awful... And there he was standing, the Dark Magician. He laughed like a psychopath and shouted:
"I will take over this rotten and sickly place, in the name of The Great Darkness!"...
Soon Dark Magician started building his own kingdom, but then Rayman arrived and tried to stop him with Betilla and the Magician.
The Dark Magician commanded his Magic Minions to kidnap Rayman's friends. Rayman was too weak alone, and the Dark Magician threw him into a special prison
that is located deep beneath The Tropical island.
The Dark Magician took over the whole Valley, and now he is trying to expand his kingdom!
He must be stopped! Otherwise the Dark Magician's reign of terror will never end!
Worlds:
These are the worlds that are in the game:
---Flint Jail---
It is said that they were old catacombs built by an ancient race before the Dark Magician turned the place into a prison.
Here Rayman is also guarded by many Magic Minions.
---Tropical Isle---
A peaceful island where some Livingstones were having a nice holiday,
until Rayman came and started to beat them up.
---Flying Mountains---
Flying Mountains are located high in the sky. Two large mountains are connected to each other with a big bridge.
---Desert of Despair---
A really hot and dry place where not a single soul lives... Except for one little fella...
---Fridge of Rock---
As the name says, this place is very cold and filled with snow and icy rock monsters.
---Heart of the Storm---
A dark cloud, where Rayman must find his way through all of the lightning bolts and big drops.
---Brutal Burial Ground---
Home of the ugly undead and ghosts who don't like intruders.
---Almost Space---
Is this place in space or not? No one knows...
---Fiery Fort---
This second prison is located near the Great Volcano. Here the good Magician is being held captive.
---Technological Towers---
Towers made of wires and pure electricity that are high like mountains.
---The Great Protoon's Terror---
We are getting closer to the Dark Magician's hideout. Every plant here is dead and the ground is slowly turning into rock.
---Stronghold of the Dark---
This is the place where the Dark Magician spends his time if he is not stalking Rayman on his journey.
---Ancient rocks---
A mysterious forest, where every little rock has got their own story.
---Beyond Technology---
This is a lab that is located under Technological Towers. Illegal experiments in order to create dangerous acid are made here.
BONUS
---Worlds from Rayman 1---
All worlds from Rayman 1 return as small bonus levels. It is also possible to use these worlds in the level editor.

Characters:
Rayman
The star of the adventure, the one who is brave enough to resist the Dark Magician's reign of terror!
Betilla the fairy
Rayman's friend, who promised to help Rayman on his quest and tries to give him back all of the powers that the Dark Magician stole.
Magician
A mysterious yet a good wizard, who is going to help you if you free him from his prison.
Electoons, Lums, Teensies and Fairies
All of Rayman's friends, who are imprisoned in cages randomly all over the worlds and are being guarded by hostile enemies.
The Dark Magician
The one who slaved the entire Valley and is going to take over the whole world in the name of the Great Darkness.
Magic Minions
They are just everywhere! They consist of only pure darkness with nothing inside them. They will do everything to stop Rayman.
Savage Minions
Stronger and more cruel than Magic Minions. Rayman must fight against one of these in the Flint jail as he tries to escape.
Livingstones
They were just having a nice holiday on the Tropical Isle...
Hunters
They are trying to capture Rayman so that they could get a reward from the Dark Magician.
Stone Necks
Cold enemies made of stone. They appear in various forms and try to attack Rayman.
Dark clouds
They are like normal cloud platforms, but they will fire little lightning bolts.
Flashinging eyes
Evil eyes that grow out of walls and try to roast Rayman with lightning bolts.
Walking lightning bolts
Yes... Walking lightning bolts.
Ghosts
They are just lost souls, who fly around and try to attack Rayman.
Zombies
They crawl out from the ground and try to bite Rayman.
Pure fire
Flames with a soul inside them. It causes them to burn forever.
Rockhead
Rayman thinks it is just a normal rock, but once he looks away it tries to attack him.
