Ah, good ol ps1 emulation, ePSXe I would assume you are using?

Crash bandicoot warped was my favorite from the trilogy also, I recommend you try the Spyro games for ps1 once you are at it.

You can get ePSXe for android phones as well.
Warped was probably my favourite from the ND Saga, but overall, my favourite is probably Twinsanity.

Twinsanity was an awesome Crash game, despite the fact it was not made by Naughty Dog, it was executed so well, it was like Crash Bandicoot, but a mix with adventure, it was a great game, I hope I can find my copy again, that'd be cool if it could work in emulation also. But I still prefer Warped.

Why yes, ePSXe.

The PS1 Spyro games were my absolute favourite ones as a kiddo. Mostly because Spyro was such a cute character to play as. I used to draw him all the time and made all kinds of... weird stories when I was like 5 years old. That's how much I loved that dude. Though I don't care about the newer ones.

Ugh... Skylanders, let's not get into that.

My favorite Spyro of all time was Spyro 2 Riptos Rage, my god it was so much fun, the huge castle you could explore, all the new elements introduced from Spyro 1. Spyro 1 was certainly an awesome game, but I don't think it compares to Spyro 2 and 3, Spyro 2 and 3 improved from 1 by so much. 3 I didn't find much of a huge change from 2, but it was still a great game.

edit: Oh and also I've been playing a crap ton of Dead Rising 2: Off the Record (Which Adsolution had kindly gifted me on steam, thanks a ton!), and I'm having so much fun with it, I'm often not into these Zombie survivals, but my god, Dead Rising 2 is an absolute blast so far.

I never played Spyro although I did have recommendations before. I shall give a shot when I'm able to adquire the game copies.

It's like a MUST play ps1 game, you could emulate while waiting to get a legitimate copy, UNLESS you want to be surprised when getting a copy, in that case, try to get one, but yes, I highly recommend it. :)

I've never actually played much in terms of Spyro barring the secret demo in Warped, I ought to give it a shot one of these days.

Ah, I really enjoy the classic Spyro games. The only problem is, I found the first game upsettingly easy when I replayed it a few years ago. I remember it being pretty challenging, and now I only think I felt that way because the camera and controls are pretty odd. It plays a lot like a really loose Croc 2 except instead of smacking shit around with your tail you're spitting fire and headbutting everything. I can definitely say that 2 was probably the best of the original 3, though I have a soft spot for the levels in the third game that would let you play as the other characters you met along the way.

Also, as far as what happened to Spyro after the first three, I'd say that A Hero's Tail was pretty fantastic. It was much more difficult than the original three and was leagues better than Enter The Dragonfly (which if you have not played, I would never recommend ever. It's absolutely horrible and the only enjoyable thing about it is the mass amounts of bugs and glitches you can exploit.) Season of Flame and Attack of the Rhynocs for GBA were pretty fun, too, and had the feel of the original three. Wasn't too big on Season of Ice, and have never seen it through to the end.

And the Legend of Spyro series were okay as stand alone games. The key to playing these games is to not think of them as Spyro games. Dawn of the Dragon is fun to play co-op, mainly because you can mess with the other player, but boring as hell single player. If you can get past the cringe worthy story of the first Legend of Spyro game, it's got some pretty enjoyable game play and I was pretty fond of the graphics. Or rather, what I can remember of the graphics.

I'm currently playing Frogger: He's Back! Darn Western levels are driving me crazy.

Finished Mario Bros. U today. The last two levels come straight from hell.

Gonna start Epic Mickey 2 now... not really too excited. Gave it a quick test and in 15 minutes I was stuck, messing with the controls, and getting frustrated with the terrible AI from Oswald. Oh boy.

I just beat Crysis 3. Holy shit, this game was a masterpiece. A beautiful, badass, emotionally driven, immersive masterpiece.

Graphically, it far surpassed my expectations. It looks unbelievably good (on PC of course), the amount of detail they managed to work into the game is just outstanding. Every single crack in the sidewalk, every single piece of foliage feels fresh and constantly. The lighting and art design is some of the best I've seen in any shooter to date.

Gameplay? Hardcore, you feel like a powerful beast, yet agile, quick and vulnerable at the same time. Never has stretching an arrow back in front of the camera slowly and let it launch forward, demolishing an enemy and having his body stuck to a wall ten feet behind him felt so damn cool. The weapons are well balanced; every weapon has its advantages in certain situations, but it never reaches a point where you're saying "I wish I had [this] weapon." The weapon/suit customisation is very plentiful, coming in just as handy (if not more handy) than in the first game. The combat is some of the best I've ever experienced in a first-person shooter.

Story-wise? Like the games before it, Crysis 3 sort of has that 80's Die Hard vibe, where the story is totally over-the-top and what happens is totally implausible by all means (the amount of near-deaths Prophet has is ridiculous), but in the game's universe, it feels real. The stakes were real, the characters were real, and every turn of the story had you anxious to know what was going to happen next. I think best of all is that the story, while being about preventing the Ceph (aliens) from demolishing Earth, it's largely an internal conflict Prophet has; because of the 'biomechanics' of the nanosuit, people see your protagonist as a machine, a piece of hardware, instead of a human. It's almost religious in a way.

Also, the final battle is in space.

Anyway, yeah, this game is absolutely fantastic. It may not mean as much though if you haven't played all the games preceding it.

There's been rumors going around that Sonic the Hedgehog is going to be in an endless runner a la Temple Run.

Yes this is true, it is called "sonic runner", which may be a fun little game for the IOS I suppose.

Today I finished the new DmC, Devil May Cry, where do I start? The game brang out the most incredible atmospheres of any games I've seen for a long time, the one big dissapointment of this new re-boot is the new main character (Dante) is most of the time a complete asshole, and not really likable as he is in Devil May Cry 1-4. However, the incredible demonic worlds and atmospheres, and even bosses of the game truly make up for it. The new characters except for Dante and Vergil are all really cool, I find it really awesome how you go through the normal world, to the demonic world (limbo), which is the reverse world, it really is an awesome concept. The gameplay/combat, I may go as far as to saying THE best combat I have ever seen since Devil May Cry 3, the way you execute combos is simple and have a nice touch to them which does not at all make them confusing. Another problem I had is the last boss (not final, but last) was ridiculously easy, the game in whole, was dissapointingly short, only 20 missions, which most of them just consist of boss battles only, it is a shame. The game brang out some REALLY eerie but fitting enviornments, hence why it is a reboot, it's not like the original Devil May Cry series with the medieval look to the game. This game takes place in a more modern time, and throws in some huge politic jokes here and there (Which totally pokes at news stations these days), the game went for an approach, that surprising worked well. As said before, the combat was great, and hell, even the story to it was incredible, some huge surprises here and there, though I was a little annoyed at the fact that they threw the cutscenes in WAY too often, like in the middle of game, CUTSCENE PLAYS. Overall it was an awesome game, anyone here who likes hack'n slash should give it a go, it's my 2nd favorite Devil May Cry game now (my first favorite being DMC3).

The Legend of Spyro: Dawn of The Dragon.

SPOILERS ALERT! Do not read if you have never played it nor heard of it.

I got this game as a gift on Christmas which is probably the best one I ever had.
The controls were pretty hard during my first time playing it, but got the hang of it some time later.
The designs on the levels seem to be inspired on 'Lord of The Rings' movies, and quite frankly, Spyro the Purple Dragon is voiced by Elijah Wood who plays as Frodo in the LoTR trilogy. I'm playing this game for like 6 or 7 times just for the heck of to improve, and to prepare for a future LP. And what I honestly don't like about the game is that it's high-contrasted, broken anatomy (when Spyro especially CYNDER, stand on their hindlegs which makes them look more human-like than dragon-like), Cynder's bad voice acting, (she's voiced by Christina Ricci) and Spyro seems to look more pink than purple.

And I might do a review of it in the far-off future.

Despite it being buggy as hell due to it being rushed for a holiday release, the Soundtrack is beautiful <3
