I'm proposing Wii U owners something to do while they're waiting for Rayman Legends. Game & Wario looks decent enough.darkkitty wrote:wht are you talking about i know its the delays but i don,t get it

Re: Rayman Legends
You can expect me to sure as hell buy this, I am a little dissapointed they ditched the fast microgames though (for the most point of the game, I believe some sections still have it), and turned it into normal party games, that's more what Mario Party should be, but oh well, this looks great nonetheless, I'll probably buy it. Still not as near as awesome as WarioWare D.I.Y. for the ds, my favorite Warioware game. I've always loved the Wario minigame series, so I can't afford to miss this, it looks like it could be a blast the way they utilize the gamepad in this one. I've always loved the bizzare games on Wario Ware, so hopefully this will be as great as it looks.sergiomonty wrote:I don't remember who was enthusiastic about Game & Wario, but Nintendo finally released a trailer for it:
Okay. I confess it, the game kind of appeals to me. I'm a big fan of the Warioware series and this looks... fun. Lego City looks fun but... I don't know, I don't really want to buy it, dunno how to explain. Maybe some Wii U owners will feel better with this first party game. This and Pikmin 3...

Re: Rayman Legends
I use this sometimes to quickly draft up a song that I can later port over to Cubase. The make-a-microgame-yourself side of it is great, but does a little under for actually programming a game in full yourself - once you've had the full capability of adding whatever you want wherever and whenever you want, with only the flick of the Drawing Tablet's Pen and the tip-tap-typing of the fingers, a half-worthy five second microgame can hardly live up to your expectations of a self-made game.Rayfist wrote:Still not as near as awesome as WarioWare D.I.Y. for the ds, my favorite Warioware game.
It's still great fun to make one now and then nonetheless.
Re: Rayman Legends
I'm definitely getting it too, even though I don't think it will be equally fun as Nintendo Land. Now that I think of it, I never even bought Smooth Moves.
I hope that after they get done with this game someone might glance over a possible sequel to Wario World...?
Say, has there been any release information for Wii Fit U? I'm still really excited for it.

Re: Rayman Legends
I think Game & Wario would be a killer game if it included the features from DIY (I mean... come on! there's a gamepad for that!), and the microgames that you make could be used for the 9-Boltz game...
Somehow it's confirmed that it features online gameplay (there's the Nintendo Network logo), but how?

I would be excited about Wii Fit U... if only I didn't have Wii Fit and Wii Fit Plus already.Keane wrote: Say, has there been any release information for Wii Fit U? I'm still really excited for it.
Re: Rayman Legends
To be honest I'm looking forward to Flipnote Studio 3D that is going to be released this Summer for the 3DS for free, it is about time it was coming out, knowing that the DSi version had it for free too.

This is news to me, everyone was begging for it, and it's great we are finally getting it.Haruka wrote:To be honest I'm looking forward to Flipnote Studio 3D that is going to be released this Summer for the 3DS for free, it is about time it was coming out, knowing that the DSi version had it for free too.

Re: Rayman Legends
Ah?! That's great news! Then at least, if my old handheld finally gives up the ghost, I will still be able to animate and make notes should I get a 3DS to replace it.
Will it be a more evolved version of Flipnote Studio? FS was great for what it was - I've had tons of fun with it - but it could have been better with only a few easy adaptations.

It is going to have 3D layers, more colours and other functions:

Re: Rayman Legends
Exxxxcelleent! They're really upgrading this time!
I hope they got rid of that horrible Page Limit and Record Limit nonesense. Those always annoyed me the most; when I was working on a really detailed project and made it so it would look really nice, the page limit would come on up and ruin my plans.
I mean, I understand, but still... it limits the accessibilty of a great tool like this for, say, the smaller ones in the public, which is what was great about the old service. My grandparents in England love to view my little cartoons on there, as another example.

crapFlipnote Gallery World - as a paid community service

Re: Rayman Legends
Flipnote studio 3d is pure genius, it's a clever console-seller app. I can't wait to put my hands on that masterpiece. I'll make lots of gifs about Rayman! too bad that you need to pay to join the flipnote community...
btw, did you hear about the new downloadable pokemon rumble game that is coming this summer for wii u? it's the first game on Wii U to feature NFC compatibility
That sounds stupid... it's like Skylanders meets Pokemon meets Nintendo Land, who in the world would buy pokemon toys just fo-

D'AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAW LOOK AT THOSE CUTE LITTLE POLYGONS ASDFFFVHVSSEQSREWG
ok maybe I'm buying two or three.... or seven. Also, each toy will cost around $2 , so it's not as expensive as Skylanders
Maybe this is the reason why Ubisoft is reconsidering NFC for Rayman Legends.

Pikachu is the creepiest model.
Oh godness.
Re: Rayman Legends
Has anyone checked out the Official Rayman Legends website since the September delay? Apparently the game's central plot has been changed to a large extent to rival the simplicity of RO, it states:

Sure the original RL plot wasn't the greatest, but it had potential, THIS on the other hand. But also what do all the legendary paintings have to do with any of this, is The Livid Dead going to be involved with the plot again!? I used to think this would be a great game, far better than that of 'Origins, but I'm getting really skeptical now.The Glade of Dreams is in trouble once again! During a 100-year nap, the nightmares multiplied and spread, creating new monsters even more terrifying than before!
These creatures are the stuff of legend… Dragons, giant toads, sea monsters, and even evil luchadores. With the help of Murfy, Rayman and Globox awake and must now help fight these nightmares and save the Teensies!

Re: Rayman Legends
Huh, odd, the UK website still has the old 'un.
Re: Rayman Legends
Nice observation, because they did change it. Hopefully we'll see more details in the next months.

Re: Rayman Legends
Sounds like a pretty standard Rayman plot to me, I liked the one with the mysterious paintings better. Also, that doesn't explain the medieval/greek settings at all.Rayfanboy wrote: Sure the original RL plot wasn't the greatest, but it had potential, THIS on the other hand. Re: Rayman Legends
What's all this about a 100-year nap? Is Legends really set a century after Origins, or is the synopsis trying to say something else?

No, it's a 100 year nap... a "something" that has been sleeping for 100 years. But if your theory is right, then heck, how old is Rayman?
