Re: What games are you currently playing?
Smash Bros has the far superior single player experience, but Allstars reigns champion in the multiplayer field in my opinion, especially online 2v2. Also yes Sir Dan is a badass, Jak is my personal favorite alongside Nariko and Parappa. For Smash Bros its usually Luigi,Wario, Lucario and Toon Link.
Re: What games are you currently playing?
I've given All-Stars a lot of chances but my final conclusion remains that is bad, and that's a shame because the game had potential.

Re: What games are you currently playing?
My mains are:
Mr Game & Watch
ROB
Yoshi
Olimar
And don't worry about FLUDD, Haruka, I didn't like it either, but you can actually execute a tornado with Down+A, and sometimes FLUDD can be very useful for making successful kills. However, Nintendo is probably taking out FLUDD for the next Smash Bros and changing it for the spin attack from Super Mario Galaxy.

Re: What games are you currently playing?
I'm glad that both you and Adsolution agree with me. The character I play in the original Smash Bros and in Melee is Mario, and the tornado attack is extremely useful for me to throw enemies up and combining with a coin punch. Maybe I could get used to the new combination of buttons for the tornado but still, I don't see the need of having added F.L.U.D.D.. Strangely, I was controlling Bowser better on Brawl than in Melee.
Re: What games are you currently playing?
Mr. Game & Watch always was my favourite. o3o

Re: What games are you currently playing?
Game & Watch is boss. Mario may be the grandfather of gaming, but Game & Watch is like the great great grandfather.
I'm fine with the FLUDD, even though it's pretty much useless. I would have been perfectly okay with it if Luigi got his Poltergust for his down special, then it would have just been awesome, but Mario is just trolling with his squirt gun.
Another thing I don't like about All-Stars, who's bright idea was it to make killing only possible using super moves? That's got to be the single most retarded thing they did with the game (well, other than the stage mixups), I would have been happier if they completely ripped Smash and made it ring outs, or even just a stamina bar, but just pummeling everyone until you manage to get a super to kill one or two of them. It pretty much defeats the purpose of having two stronger ones, everyone just scrambles to get the first one so they can win.

Have fun playing through Westopolis 10 times... if you're going to complete the game with all levels, you need to go through the same starting level... 10 times... yep.Minor-T5 wrote:I've just started playing Shadow The Hedgehog. Shadow the Hedgehog- don't get me started- I got in a past arguement with someone on youtube about that game. The game it's self, though I am willing to admit the gameplay certainly isn't TOO bad, the story is awful- and spoiler alert: all the actions you choose to make in the end, won't even matter when you get the last story. The gameplay it's self feels like a DOWNGRADE from sonic heroes, slower gameplay, slower mechanics, etc. I'm sorry Minor, I really think Shadow the Hedgehog was a bad game in the end in my opinion, mostly because of its useless repetitive missions. I do truly think the concept of your actions taking you to different levels and changing up the story is really awesome, but in the end your actions don't even matter.
Re: What games are you currently playing?
Why do you have to go through the same level 10 times?

Re: What games are you currently playing?
As mentioned above, to unlock all the endings. Once you complete a story, onto the next one, now you start all over from westopolis but perform different actions this time. So in total, 10 times.
Re: What games are you currently playing?
Okay. Now I get it.
Re: What games are you currently playing?
I don't like FLUDD either, but I still use him plenty. I tend to use Luigi more often, though. My mains are Game & Watch and Wario.
• Due to needing super moves, you basically just spend time handing out pointless punches. In Smash Bros., the game is always full of action.
• The roster is shit. Don't get me wrong, I actually like a lot of these character, but it fails to live up to Brawl's roster hugely. One problem is that the PlayStation has too many characters that aren't really all that interesting. Cole, Drake, and (new) Dante are your typical video game guy that don't stand out. Also, I didn't know Sir Daniel even existed until this game came around. Where are Spyro and Crash?
• Stage mixups suck. When I choose the LocoRoco stage, that's what I want. What I don't is Metal Gear pounding through it.
• Characters have extreme difference in strength and speed. Why would anyone play as Sir Daniel?
• Stages are alright, but I still find that some are boring. (And mixups aren't the way to fix that)
The system is fucked up. The whole game if full of bullshit like this. Think about it:JamesDNaux wrote:Another thing I don't like about All-Stars, who's bright idea was it to make killing only possible using super moves? I find the lack of Crash Bandicoot and Spyro disturbing.

Re: What games are you currently playing?
Yeah, that's what I was on about. It just doesn't make proper sense, your regular attacks basically do jack shit other than charging up your own super, which has no logic whatsoever, so it's like a giant pointless fight that doesn't go anywhere unless someone gets lucky.Keane wrote:The system is fucked up. Like I said, I use every character in Smash, but in All-Stars, I might try Kratos or Drake, but I would avoid Fat Princess like the plague.• The roster is shit. This, just this. If there was an option to turn it off, I'd have no problem with it. Fuck you Buzz, stay out of my LBP stage with your damned pop quizzes.• Stage mixups suck. When I choose the LocoRoco stage, that's what I want. What I don't is Metal Gear pounding through it.

Re: What games are you currently playing?
From what I know, he's really slow and hard to play as. However, he remains (along with Jak) my favourite character from the roster, not for playableness, but just for him. Plus how can't you love this shit:JamesDNaux wrote:• Characters have extreme difference in strength and speed. Why would anyone play as Sir Daniel?

Re: What games are you currently playing?
I would main Sir Dan if I had the game. I don't care how slow he is, I'd make it work, hell, I can play as Ganondorf in Brawl. Dan is just a boss, the Medievil games were proper good for the time, I actually wonder why they didn't give him a gun in All-Stars (Yes, he used old-school guns in his games).Rulez wrote: Plus how can't you love this shit:
What is it with threes? Portal 3, Kingdom Hearts 3, Banjo-Threeie, Medievil 3...

Or you know, Half-life 3 O3O

Re: What games are you currently playing?
I've never played the Half-Life series actually. I really don't like FPS's, even Portal was a stretch, but there was no shooting, and it was puzzle based, so I was able to get past the first person aspect.Rulez wrote:Or you know, Half-life 3 O3O

Re: What games are you currently playing?
I have no problem with the idea of mixing stages from different worlds. It is in fact an idea that sounds good on paper, but the way how it is applied to All-Stars is plain awful. I've seen the LocoRoco stage, and as a graphic designer, I can tell that it looks aesthetically awful when the Metal Gear Rising background appears. The colour palette gets lost, the atmosphere dies, and the two concept crash in something that isn't either beautiful, interesting or funny, but visually awkward.• Stage mixups suck. When I choose the LocoRoco stage, that's what I want. What I don't is Metal Gear pounding through it.
I also feel horrible when I see those textures... they're too plastic and lame for an HD console.

This is unacceptable even for a 3ds game. Have you seen Kratos' beard? HAVE YOU SEEN KRATOS' FUCKING PLASTIC BEARD AND HIS HAND DRAWN SIX PACK?
I mean, look at Brawl, a game that is supposed to be graphically inferior:

How can they fuck up such a great idea like All-Stars? It was a rip-off, but a rip-off with potential to become something big.

Re: What games are you currently playing?
I had no problem with this actually. How players can beat up others characters non stop till they got 1 2 3 super moves.Keane wrote: • Due to needing super moves, you basically just spend time handing out pointless punches. In Smash Bros., the game is always full of action.
I found PS All stars very entertaining with friends especially, and playing the arcade mode (campaign) on hard is challenging and fun, even the story sucks.
I wouldn't consider PS All stars a bad game at all, it's pretty decent.
Also I agree with you sergiomonty, the graphics for Ps all stars isn't at all outstanding but "average."
