You're welcome
I just managed to get Rayman M working and I've decompiled that too. It's the same incomprehensible stuff unfortunately :/

Re: Rayman 3
I proudly present... a new Cheat Engine hack!
Modifying the length of the life bar!

Rayman has the maximum life bar in the first level
If you want to use this hack, download the savegame at this Dropbox download link:
https://www.dropbox.com/sh/hdsawfa2l06djkw/q5Q9N3reeW
Instructions (also in the readme):
Modifying the length of the life bar!
Rayman has the maximum life bar in the first level
If you want to use this hack, download the savegame at this Dropbox download link:
https://www.dropbox.com/sh/hdsawfa2l06djkw/q5Q9N3reeW
Instructions (also in the readme):
1. Place the HPBAR.sav savegame next to your
other savegames in the Rayman 3 install folder.
(example: C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubi Soft\Rayman3\GAMEDATA\SaveGame)
2. Start Rayman 3 and load the HPBAR savegame.
3. Start Cheat Engine 6.2, open Rayman3.exe in Cheat Engine.
(note: this hack was not tested in other versions of Cheat Engine)
4. Scan for the value "1110137897" (without quotation marks) in Cheat Engine
- add this address to the addresslist.
5. Right-click the address and select 'Find out what writes to
this address', then select 'Yes' when Cheat Engine asks
if it can attach a debugger.
6. Scan for the value "60" in Cheat Engine
- loads of addresses will come up.
7. Go back to Rayman 3 and get the first cage in the level.
8. The value "1110137897" you found earlier will have changed to
"1112009605". A single instruction has written to this address.
Select that instruction, click 'Replace', and then click 'OK'.
9. Choose 'Next Scan' with a value of 70.
- two values will be left, add those to the adresslist.
(if you find more than two values, reload HPBAR.sav, scan for
"60" again, etc.)
10. Now you need to change the values to modify Rayman's max life.
I will call the "1112009605" value 'Length' and the two
values of 70 'HP'. Choose how long you want your life bar to be,
and modify the values accordingly:
NOTE: The forum kinda screwed up the table I made so I turned it into a list, it's different in the readme
Format: HP at X cages // Length // HP11. Once you've set all three values to your liking, freeze them
- 0-5 // 1105492705 // 40 (at the beginning of the game)
- 6-11 // 1108266189 // 50
- 12-17 // 1110137897 // 60 (at the start of HPBAR.sav)
- 18-23 // 1112009605 // 70 (after step 7 - getting that cage)
- 24-29 // 1113881313 // 80
- 30-35 // 1115718943 // 90
- 36-41 // 1116654797 // 100
- 42-47 // 1117590651 // 110
- 48-53 // 1118526505 // 120
- 54-59 // 1119462359 // 130
- 60 // 1120398213 // 140 (the maximum value)
(tick the box in the 'Active' column for all three addresses).
12. You're done! Go back to Rayman 3 and enjoy! As long as you don't exit
Rayman 3 or Cheat Engine the hack will keep working no matter
what savegame you load. Exit HPBAR and load your own savegame!

Ah, atlast, a way to get rid of the stupid HP handicap that is permanently enforced in TTOTL.

I don't get the point. The game is already easy.

Meh, I find it a little useful for when I try to get through the game as fast as possible.

Re: Rayman 3
I agree, it's not very hard. But you can also give yourself a really tiny life bar! That will make things more challenging...Raven_Guardian wrote:I don't get the point. The game is already easy.
Add the "reverse" cheat to make the levels a bit more confusing for added difficulty

Re: Rayman 3
Requesting feedback!
(hence the double post - I don't think it an edit of the above post would have shown up on the homepage...)
I just found out how to delete all level scores in a savegame in Rayman 3.
Would you guys be interested if I made a savegame archive? You could basically pick any part of any level and start there.
For example if you wanted to play the second Teensie Highway or the boss fight against Razoff NOW - without having to spend ages walking though the rest of that world and watching innumerable cutscenes - you could just grab the savegame belonging to that part, place it in the savegame folder, and play. No Cheat Engine or anything else required!
Because I can now set all level scores to 0, that savegame would not be tainted by any scores I earned - all levels would have a score of 0 and you would be able to earn your own scores. All 60 cages would already have been unlocked (so you'd have the max life bar), and all bonus levels would be accessible too. The savegame archive would have a savegame for every map in the game.
It'll take me a while to do this, so I want to know if you'd like to see it. If no one is interested, it's not gonna happen.

Very well. I had expected a bit more feedback, but thanks to TFDs39 I'll do it
I think I'll make a forum thread next time, maybe more people will read it that way...

I always wanted to fight with Reflux 2 without walking though The Tower of Leptys.

RT, I think an option like that would be great for a certain audience, maybe especially those who are trying to get specific scores or get to a certain area of the game quickly. I wouldn't see the use of it for my own personal pleasure, but I can see it being a great addition to the resources, should you want to devote your time to making it.

Re: Rayman 3
I've already started and I've made good progress!
I've been thinking... maybe I can add Rayman 1, 2 and Origins (and possibly M) too. Those have a very different level selection system - not as flawed as R3's, because you can revisit any level you want. But I could add a completed savegame. So if you're a new user who hasn't completed all levels yet, or you're stuck on a level and just want to play later levels, or you just got a new PC and you don't have your old savegame... you can just get a nice fully unlocked savegame right away.
For those games I won't need to make dozens of savegame files like in R3 (one for each area) - I could just provide a single 100% completed file that you could load and use. You could then select what level you want in the (fully accessible) world map/Hall of Doors.
However I think it's better if the files are not really 100% completed but rather have scores of 0 in every level... so you can set your own scores. Otherwise the game would have already have been played for you. Imagine playing, say, R2 with all yellow lums and cages already gone. That would suck :/
I will need to investigate how to clear savegames of scores for each individual game. This will involve savegame hacking or Cheat Engine hacking, and will take some time. I'll do R3 first, I've already started on that.
I should probably also explain that I'm not just making a zip archive, but an actual website. I shall call it RaySaves. Maybe it can be placed on raymanpc.com?
If anyone has any feedback... please let me know!
EDIT: OK, Visual Studio kept lagging while writing that but now I can give a screenshot
Note - it's a work in progress and I made this before I realised I could expand it to include other Rayman games.

Re: Rayman 3
You could unlock later levels in R2 buthave none of their Lums collected? That sounds excellent!
Re: Rayman 3
I would certainly use this if you do it.

Wasn't there some text cheats one could use?
Like "gothere," "gimmelums" and the like?

Re: Rayman 3
Cheats? For what game is that? R2? I only knew about "gimmelife". If there is a cheat that you can use to play any level, a savegame wouldn't do much good for that game... but what happens to the levels you skip? Do you have 0 lums/cages there? I'll have to do some research...
For Rayman 1, I hope to get a savegame with 0 electoons in every level. However, in some levels there are areas that are only visited the first time you play that level. I'm not sure how to solve that problem yet... maybe I'll need to make several savegames. Another problem is that I suck at R1, I might have to use Cheat Engine (if it even works on a DOS game running in an emulator).
For Rayman 2, I'll have to look into those cheats. Ideally the savegame would have 0 lums and 0 cages in every level. However there are also levels here that have one-time areas (such as Axel or flying the pirate ship in the mines).
For Rayman 3 I'll provide savegames for each area, with the score set to 0. I think I'll leave the cage count at 60 so all minigames are unlocked. If you replay a R3 level the cages are back anyway, whereas in R2 they're permanently removed from the game.
For Origins it would be great if I could get 0 electoons, lums and no time score in every level, but you often need a minimum amount of electoons to pass to the next world. I don't know how to get around that yet.
I think R3 - which is most in need of an improved level selection mechanism - will also be the easiest to improve

In Rayman 2 PC,the code for choose the level you want to play is "got here",but you won't have 0 lums and 0 cages if you use it

Re: Rayman 3
Ah, thanks. But are you sure it's not "go there"?
Looks like there's room for improvement in R2 as well then! That's good to know. I just hope Cheat Engine won't crash the game... it always does that in R2 :/
I just finished The Fairy Council. On to Clearleaf Forest!

You are right, but It doesn't matter, because when you tipe the code you don't press space
