The first batch of videos is now off the 95 machine and onto Windows 7. Next step - video editing! :)

Have a free Rayman in a toy-box:

Sorry about the epic delay - I've been off school all week with a nasty cold and haven't been up for anything :(. Hopefully I'll be able to get the first part up this evening (or at least Saturday), although I'll have to wait until my brother has vacated the room I use for video editing :P

I can only confirm. You may can get that on XP to work but not on Vista or 7.

I can confirm it's possible. I'm a good coder in DOSBOX, i've got music and sound in R1 on W7. Get to work Rayman gold, by his fan , 60niveaux inédits and Rayman Junior CP: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UlXA7cdioPw

I have music and sound in R1 on W7 too - but I got the GOG.com version, so I didn't have to code anything - they took care of all the settings.

Ahahahahaaaa... you just forgetting one point: This Game doesn't operate in DOS :P . It's based on the MMengine, that has in Vista and above a bad support. And really : I have more knowlegde then you in DOSBox. :fou2:

DOSBox hasn't to do anything with codding. More tweaking.

I can confirm that not only does the game not run in DOSbox (under it's Windows emulation, since it's not a DOS game) but it also won't run in XP either. It is a pain and a half, but I'm glad I was able to find something that it liked!

In XP you still have the good MMengine support. By bypassing the CD Signature the game will launch:

I've never had any trouble running Rayman Activity Centre on Windows XP before (although I had to set compatibility mode first). Rayman CP on the other just behaves really awkwardly no matter how you treat it...

Unfortunate news ( :( ) - The computer which I use to edit the video footage is now out of order (it literally died the moment I went to turn it on to finish the video editing I started yesterday). Hopefully all problems will be fixed soon, and if not, I may be able to find a way of moving the editing process elsewhere. Is this project cursed? Probably ;)

Edit:

Rayman in a creative mood:

I think that's the largest seen the original digitised art used for R1's Rayman sprites. Maybe I should re-post this is in the 'Rare Rayman Images' thread ;)
