Re: Rayman 2
Hello!
I have finished Rayman 2 PS1 (using ePSXe) and wanted to play the Beta 2D version of R2,but the music doesn't play in the background.Does anybody know what is the problem?

Re: Rayman 2
Emulating R2 PS1... why didn't I think of that before?! I'm going to get that emulator and play this exciting new version of R2
I just hope it runs faster than the PS2 emulator...

Re: Rayman 2
It also does not play in my emulation. I had to use RayTunes' ripped music to make a mountage.TFDs39 wrote:Hello!

Re: Rayman 2
I haven't seen any other video of Beta R2 where The Walk of Power music played, except your one.
This explains everything

Re: Rayman 2
Well, I do own the original game disc and it does plays a music in my PlayStation 2. It isn't exactly the Walk of Power music, it owns jungle sound effects mixed up.

Re: Rayman 2
Haruka's right, I distinctly remember it playing a spruced up Walk of Life/Power (they switched 'em in the PS1 version) theme back on my original PS1.
Re: Rayman 2
So I guess it doesn't work with a ROM and an Emulator.
I don't care so much.

Re: Rayman 2
Rayman 2 revolution is very laggy on an emulator.
But...
on PS2 it lag slightly, not noticable, unless you have played Rayman 2 before, and recently
even on PS3 it lags slightly.
And it is a HUGE file size download.
It took about 6 hours to download on PS3.
It's not so laggy that it's unplayable, but it's noticeable if your sitting close.

Re: Rayman 2
One of the major downsides of Revolution, and perhaps one of the reasons why some don't like it as much as the DC version, was because of the slightly laggy framerate, as opposed to the smooth 60 FPS of the Dreamcast version, given that the Dreamcast isn't as powerful as the PS2, you'd expect the PS2 to be capable of running the game without the hiccups it had.
Also, I don't like how musical tracks stop playing when you revisit an area, I cannot for the life of me figure out why they'd do such a silly thing, but they did.

Re: Rayman 2
Could the big world map and the power ups, ly's mini games have a reason of this?
Rayman 2 rev. did succeed in extending Rayman 2 further.
But, because of this the frame rate is down.
And for the music change when you return to a level, I never understood why they did this.

Re: Rayman 2
I doubt it, even with all the additions, Rayman Revolution doesn't quite reach the same graphical detail as Rayman 3, at least, that's my opinion, and like I said earlier, the PS2 is more powerful than the Dreamcast (which, while not quite on the same level of detail, still looks much better than both the PC and N64 versions.), and as such, should've atleast coped with Revolution without the slowdown.
I believe the lag could also happen in the original levels as well, but I can't say for sure.

I've only noticed the lag when I was walking around the teensie's circle looking for some lums.

Hmm, it has been some time since I have played or owned Rayman Revolution, should the opportunity arise, I'll look into it.

Re: Rayman 2
Now the only versions of Rayman 2 I I have left to explore is PC and Dreamcast.
I doubt i'l be able to get the Dreamcast version anytime soon though.
And I can't find the PC version.
