Well, if Polokus became more omniscient againt I'd like his new form much more. Now he looks dumb. But if he was give a more serious, wise and intelligent personality it would be far better. Also it would be nice if they forgot about that Bubble Dreamer thing and went back to calling him just Polokus, but it's not a big problem as long as the name Polokus is still present in the games in some way.

Because a name ruins the entire experience. You know, I've seen Polokus in Legends... and I can tell you he's not doing anything dumb... he's just there, and actually informs you about what to do and how everything works. He's useful to newcomers. Sure, in Origins he made fart/snoring jokes and danced like a chicken... but now he's more calm. A lot more calm, if you ask me. It's not the same Polokus, but he's still likeable.

He's supposed to be a God. I can't take a God called 'Bubble Dreamer' seriously. Plus yeah, he seems more calm but yet he's doing nothing remotely useful, since controls are already in the manual and are very intuitive anyway.

Lol, I'm not sure it's possible for Polokus/the Bubble Dreamer to be a lot more calm than in Origins... because he didn't really do anything in Origins. He might occasionally have done a funny animation but he was already extremely calm if you ask me...

You can't take a God named God seriously.... JK, JK.

No but seriously, I thought we made clear that Bubble Dreamer is not his name.

Polokus enters the fight against the grannies and the Darktoons during the intro of Rayman Origins. Why didn't they win? we don't know, maybe the nightmares are simply stronger than their creator, but you can't say he's completely useless, we just haven't seen him in action graphically. Also, he's blowing some bubbles in Rayman Legends... he's high, bro, let him enjoy his old age while Rayman takes care of the baddies, he's too old for this shit.

OH SNAP I'M BACK AFTER A YEAR

Anyway, opinion time on everything that's happened.

1: Challenge Mode.
Challenge mode is ridiculously fun. I'm around the 1300 best player on there, and I am a king at the As Far As You Can challenges. However it does get very boring after awhile, but I keep getting reinvigorated by the trailers, and it just edges me to keep playing. I hope they introduce more areas though, because The Dojo was incredibly fun and I hope there's an entire world based around it.

2: Fiesta De Los Muertos World.
This world will probably end up my favorite or second favorite world. The whole Mexican theme is a very interesting take on the standard desert world that I've never seen before. The music level was amazing and hilarious, and those skeletons are simply precious. Another interesting thing is that this level, despite how silly it is, still fits the whole "Legends" thing. It's based off a Mexican holiday, which is based on LEGENDS.

3: 20,000 Lums Under the Sea and The Magician.
This world also might end up being my favorite, as the whole spy fiction thing is an incredibly interesting concept. I actually hope that this level takes place mainly in the underwater base, despite how great the underwater levels in Rayman Origins were. I also thought the Splinter Cell toads were quite amusing. The return of The Magician literally made me freak out, for reals. I so glad he's coming back, and I hope they do more with him than just have him be there.

4: Pre-Order Costumes.
This is kinda a tough one. You see, I pre-ordered the Wii U version of the game because I have sworn to get it for the Wii U, but I just don't feel the Barbara costume. Both of the Rayman costumes are great, but I just don't like the Barbara one. Also, making the Wii U exclusive costume based on a PSVita exclusive game is kind of stupid, don't you think?

And finally, I don't know if this has been posted, but the official website got a new background. I saw someone post some fake names for it, and a shitty image from a shitty wiki, but I'm just going to point some things out in it.

http://static9.cdn.ubi.com/en-GB/images/legends/bg.jpg

I'll start with the minor bits. There's some returning characters from RO, like Dark Rayman, Glombrox, and the ever so creative Ninja Teensie. Next we have the Barbara alternate costumes, Olympus Barbara and Braveheart Barbara, as I'll call them. Finally, there's the cave man-like Rayman that obviously is supposed to pair up with Globolk. There are two things he could be, he could be a completely new character, or he could be Tarayzan with a new design. I seriously hope it's Tarayzan because that would be amazing. Also make The Magician a playable character Ubisoft

One more thing, someone a few pages back mentioned a Luchador boss and how it was 2D. I would really like a picture of this.

EDIT: oh man i'm a fish

I think one of the reasons Polokus didn't win the fight with the grannies might be partly because he's vulnerable in the air (at least, by Rayman 2's logic). But it also makes sense that yeah, he's old. He needs someone as young and peppy as Rayman to take on the tougher stuff.

There's already almost ten more characters than there were in RO, so that's a really good sign. The characters also seem a lot more interesting than the characters in RO, too. I also like how they give descriptions and names for all the characters. Hopefully we can figure out what the name of the Female Teensie is.

Another interesting thing is something not related to RL at all. You see, at school I did some math to figure out how many levels there were in New Super Mario Bros. U. There are over 130 levels in that game.Donkey Kong Country Returns had 2 less levels than Rayman Origins, and the 3DS remake breaks that by having 72 levels ON THE 3DS. If Legends can't manage to break 80 levels with this extra development time, I will be sorely disappointed.

New Super Mario Bros U only had 82 levels. Well, at least according to IGN, Gamexplain and Iwata.

It has over 130 levels if you count the challenge levels. Which I do.

I wouldn't count the challenges if I were you, some of them are practically reused levels. If you want to count the challenges anyway, Rayman Legends has an infinite amount of them daily and weekly, and with online leaderboards and a ranking system.

Okay, so there's only 82 real levels, but the DLC coming out for the game will boost it to 162 levels, and my point is basically that a Wii U disk can hold A LOT of info.

We still don't know how many levels Legends will have. the 30 new levels bit could mean any manner of numbers. It all depends on how many there were in the original build. That could mean 92 levels, or even more if they made more levels than in Origins.

I just saw RL available in FNAC for pre-order. They will do apparently a -15% discount if you preorder now with the membership card. Hmmm, I might consider this.

In that case you're completely right.

Yup, you're right, if Ubisoft is making a decent sequel, they probably got 62 levels like the original. If they said that they're adding 30 levels, they can't fool us! the game must have more than 90 levels in the final version, OR ELSE!!! ...

Also... Rayman Legends would have some amazing DLC, but I don't know if they're really taking that direction with the game.

I want them to include Tarayzan. But the R1 one! Plus it would be SO awesome if they gave us some explanation finally for The Magician's evilness and maybe even his appearance change. Would be awesome if he went back to being a good guy and could be unlocked. Maybe also in his R1 design? But I'm sure I'm asking for too much here. I just miss the good ol' Magician. I'd actually be satisfied with him being a goodie again. Maybe now he can be a proper boss and when you beat him he becomes good and is unlocked as a playable character? That'd be EPIC to me.

Well, going by the trailers, it's very likely he's not going to be a good guy at all, let alone be unlockable. So far, Ancel and his team haven't really been going out of their way to feed people's nostalgia except for a few scant characters like Bad Rayman. Mostly in the gameplay aspects do they recall their roots, which was always the intention. It's never been about the characters, if you've noticed. It's about the art and gameplay. Besides, as I had stated before, having the Magician be an evil Teensie who happens to be Mr. Dark's biggest fan is very intriguing to me.
