Actually, it never says a hundred years passed between Origins and Legends. Just that the monsters of Legends have been asleep for a hundred years and Rayman and his friends just happen to be around at the time the monsters wake up.TeensieKing wrote:Funny how it's 100 years after origins but the characters are still alive and haven't even aged and there are medieval castles.

Make of that what you will.Michel Ancel, celebrated creator of Rayman®, Beyond Good & Evil®, and Rabbids® is bringing his innovative creativity to Wii U™.
The Glade of Dreams is in trouble once again! During a 100-year nap, the nightmares multiplied and spread, creating new monsters even more terrifying than before!
These creatures are the stuff of legend… Dragons, giant toads, sea monsters, and even evil luchadores. With the help of Murfy, Rayman and Globox awake and must now help fight these nightmares and save the Teensies!
• Five-Player Co-op: Now even more players can join the fun! With four Wii Remote™ controllers (or Pro Controllers) and the Wii U GamePad, up to five players can play simultaneously! Jump in and jump out at any time during the 80+ levels of gameplay!
• Murfy to the Rescue: As the dedicated character on the Wii U GamePad, Murfy can tickle enemies, rotate platforms, move objects, cut ropes, dig paths, and even shoot a slingshot to take out dragons! Discover all the ways Murfy can interact with the world!
• Rayman Rocks: See if you have what it takes to be a Platforming Hero – jump to the beat of a drum, punch to the bass line, even zip-line during a guitar sustain. Timing and rhythm are the key to completing these maps set to music.
• The Game Must Go On: The Wii U console allows you to keep playing the game – even when your television is off – and continue Rayman’s adventure on the Wii U GamePad!
Re: Rayman Legends
I think you are right because if it was 100 years in future since Origins, then everyone would either be dead or really old and in Legends, Rayman is allive and kicking. Plus, that means that it is possible we haven't seen the last of Pirates and Hoodlums. Also I can't wait to fight Rabbids in Rayman Legends. UbiSoft finally did what they promised back in 2006. Rayman will finally beat them for realEarth Gwee wrote:Actually, it never says a hundred years passed between Origins and Legends. I feel it makes more sense that it took the nightmares a hundred years of sleep to multiply and that Rayman and friends were taking a short nap like they usually do. It never explicitly states that they themselves were sleeping for a hundred years.

Re: Rayman Legends
Fair enough, I guess we'll have to wait and see.
We don't know if that will make it into the final product, the trailer in which they featured in was an internal leaked trailer that we weren't meant to see, and some of the concepts in that trailer were there for show and won't be in the game we'll be getting come September.OldClassicGamer wrote:Also I can't wait to fight Rabbids in Rayman Legends. Re: Rayman Legends
I think the same thing like you. Everyone knows that Rayman and Friends like to tale naps for time to time. If Rayman and friends were sleeping for 100 years then we might as well say they were sleeping 100 years in Origins as well.Earth Gwee wrote:Hm. Plus, even if Rayman and Globox had been sleeping for that long, I think some outside force would have been responsible. I don't know about Globox, but we all know Rayman's not that friggin lazy.

Re: Rayman Legends
Maybe they needed to take a 100 year nap to fix all the damage that happened in Rayman Origins? It was really the first time that the Glade's been almost destroyed completely.Earth Gwee wrote:Plus, even if Rayman and Globox had been sleeping for that long, I think some outside force would have been responsible. Re: Rayman Legends
Not really. The Glade has been close to total destruction many times. I mean, the Heart of the World was destroyed once coupled with the invasion of the robo-pirates. Andre almost was able to reach the Heart and completely convert it into an army of Hoodlums. Rayman and Globox hardly got that much time to nap during those events. So I don't see how they'd be napping for a hundred years between Origins and Legends. A lot can still happen in that time. They'd have to be awake at some point, or there'd have to be some form of explanation behind their 100-year-long nap. I know it's a magical world and what-not, but they can't ignore their own basic needs, like food or relieving themselves. It just doesn't add up otherwise.Bionichute wrote:Maybe they needed to take a 100 year nap to fix all the damage that happened in Rayman Origins? Re: Rayman Legends
There could have been a massive time skip in between Rayman 2 and Rayman 3, we don't know. This has been the first real time we've gotten any sense of time from one game to another. Besides, it's not like it will show in the game. It will be a paragraph in the digital instruction manual (Am I the only person who really hates those?) and nothing more.Earth Gwee wrote:I know it's a magical world and what-not, but they can't ignore their own basic needs, like food or relieving themselves. Re: Rayman Legends
Well, I just hope we'll be given better context upon release, because that's gonna bother me. Hopefully, that will be the only gripe I'll have.
Re: Rayman Legends
Just to say that I've decided to pre-order my Wii U copy of Rayman Legneds in FNAC, since they were doing a campaign of 25% of discount for FNAC Membership Cards. Now I just need to wait.

when i first read ''100 year nap'', i for some reason automatically believed it was some tradition, or ceremony! i think, it might have to do with polokus' creating. maybe he's taking a break from... bubbling?Earth Gwee wrote:Not really. I'm pretty sure those little black things are part of the Greek/Olympus world.
Re: Rayman Legends
Considering the return of the Magician has already been announced I doubt they will ever bring back the actual Mr. Dark.globolk wrote:mr. dark may be in legends. you never know, the rayman series could become like the legend of zelda! they might create timelines, and RL may even become THE FIRST GAME on the timeline! rayman origins didn't really, specify any time, so it could even come AFTER legends on the timeline!Raven_Guardian wrote:Mr Dark dies in Rayman 1 game color version and this game may be apocryphal. And even if he really died,.. well Dark Rayman was supposed to be dead in Rayman 1.
