If you hit a mushroom with your fists or a keg or something, it should release a cloud of spores! Bonus points if the spores glow, like a swarm of fireflies
If the mushrooms are completely immovable objects, that would break immersion...

This could make for a very nice platforming puzzle section, where all you can really see are the mushrooms, until you hit one, lighting up your surroundings and showing you (briefly) where it's safe to stand.

Godness, those mushrooms look so realistic and awesome! I especially like how they glow during the night, it really fits into Rayman's universe.
Oh, using the mushrooms to light up the area? I like the idea as well.

The motives on the menhirs are pretty neat and well-thought. Spanex did a great job, as usual.
