I've bought and played through every Call of Duty Game to date, aside from the Black Ops series. CoD 1 through 4 I'd almost consider masterful legends among the FPS genre. Unfortunately, CoD 4 created the new genre I like to call Run N' Shit (<- Rulez, c'mere). World at War and Modern Warfare 2 are where the decline seriously picked up, and them and everything afterward just sucks ass.
Why do I continue to buy some of the new installments? I'd rather judge something I have played, plus, MW2 and MW3 do have their scarce good moments. Besides, I'm not one of them, I'm not a CoD fanboy, therefore my input, one in a hundred million basically, won't affect their sales. Sure, someone can say that "every little bit counts," but that's just comparable to Argumentum ad misericordiam, really; unless at least half the world decides to boycott the series or companies start acting less-stupid (which we have no say in), it's not going to make a difference. I'm merely part of the espionage of a trend that will eventually take its toll and fade into obscurity.
