I was talking about the PC version. In case you were talking about the PS1 version, then I don't have the option for 70 hz on that either.

I will decapitate the next person who calls it that. PSX ≠ PS1. This is the PSX:

The PSX isn't even a PS1, it's a PS2 with a built-in DVD player.

Else, before 1994, 'PSX' was the name used to refer to Sony's work-in-progress home console. The end result (PS1) was very, very different from what the PSX was.

I remember that one person said Rayman 3 is for PSX. That is technically true since PSX plays both PS1 and PS2 games.

Ok. in pal and ntsc you don't have the option 70hz. only way to get that, you have to put the parameter freq70. is that really that hard?

You just said that there is a menu option:
emshomar wrote:In Rayman 1 the option MAX is 70hz. There's no option for Rayman Designer, BHF and 60L. Here it comes: BUUUUT if you put the parameter freq70 in the Batch file the game will start on 70hz

No, it isn't, but I don't think you're understanding me. My version of Rayman 1 has no menu option for 70 hz, when it's clearly been stated here that many of you do have the option in the menu. I'm trying to find out why.

I've played the Blue Mountains and I didn't see major differences, except for an extra checkpoint added in Mr. Stone's Peaks if I remember well.

Rayman DSi is defenetly not worth the price Haruka-Chan payed for. I would give 2$ maximum for it. You can get Rayman 1 on PSN for cheaper then Rayman DSi, and plus have more fun with it.

I honestly think that it is ridiculous paying 7,99€ for a port with flaws while the best version available to play can be purchased for 4,99€ or less if you still own an original PS1 or PS2 and go look for a retail copy on eBay. It is true I didn't reach the end yet (although I did already half of the game) but I honestly think the price is exaggerated.

@OCG
Well...that depends.
I know most of the fellows here would prefer the challenge and purity of the original Rayman opposed to the DSi release, but in hindsight, given the extreme difficulty of the game, perhaps the extra health would allow those of lesser patience and skill to enjoy the game as we did, as opposed to experiencing the extreme frustration that can arise from playing the original.

Pricewise, looking it up, it costs 800 points? According to Wikipedia, 1000 points is equivalent to £9, so therefore, 100 points is equivalent to 90p, doing the maths, it'd seem that the DSi release costs £7.20, while the PSN rerelease costs £3.99, making a price difference of £3.21, hmm, it's a noticeable difference, and one that I feel isn't really justified, but that's what I make of it.

I know, as I mentioned, I bought it months ago on my 3DS that I don't own anymore. I didn't mind the price to be honest.

I finished Rayman DSi yesterday. I'll write up a small review later since I need to get out now.

Well, it was just a question that I asked because I am used at watching video reviews on YouTube. If she does not like doing reviews on YouTube, that is ok.

Really? Huh. I mostly prefer written reviews, though I admit that video reviews can get more detailed and in-depth by, for example, showing off what the product has to offer in practice. But still, I am allowed to have an opinion. Fuck the police.

I don't really mind either medium, just as long as sufficient information and critique are conveyed, and not biased rubbish.

Of course. Everyone is allowed to have an opinion. And the thing you said about video reviews is the main reason why I prefer them over written reviews. Of course I like written reviews as well.
