""On voulait mettre une trame pour essayer de lier les univers, mais à la fois pour des contraintes de temps et par le fait que la justification n'apportait pas forcément plus de plaisir de jeu, on a opté pour le système des tableaux", avoue Ancel. => Sadly, there won't be any plot.
Yes, and I really think it's good, because it means that the story will be the one with Rayman and his friends who discover some paintings :
"Rayman, Globox, and the Teensies are off wandering through an enchanted forest when they discover a mysterious tent filled with a series of captivating paintings. As they look more closely, they notice each painting seems to tell the story of a mythical world. While focusing on a painting that shows a medieval land, they are suddenly sucked into the painting, entering the world, and the adventure begins. The gang must run, jump and fight their way through each world to save the day and discover the secrets of every legendary painting."

I was hoping that story would be that heroes were sleeping and snoring and that dragons got pissed off. Then they fight, dragons defeat them and take them to medieval land. It would be alot funnier.
I love that, and I think we don't even need too big of a story in a game like this, I just don't think an epic story with a lot of background and shit would fit into the Rayman Legends world. Revenge of the Dark, on the other hand...

Ancel says: "In a sense, this is like porn: it goes straight to the point without wondering too much why the plumber came out."
LOL There once was a plumber from Lea,
Who was plumbing his girl by the sea.
She said "Stop your plumbing,
There's somebody coming!"
Said the plumber, still plumbing, "It's me!"
Also I forgot to mention, I am completely in love with Rayman Legends' level design. It's better than Origins in my opinion.

You are such a fucking moron.
Oh cmon, that's a bit harsh, maybe Globolk is actually retarted... LOL.
Anyways, this new info is great
Hey Ad, by any chance will you be getting the Vita version of RL?
I agree also Rulez, everything looks much better than Origins.
*Spoliers for people who haven't watched the newest gameplay footage*
So basically, that new footage of the boss fight is obviously the final boss. I must say, I'm annoyed that the video didn't say anything about it being the final boss, and I'm also annoyed at Ubisoft for letting journalists play and share footage of the final level and boss. And before we haven't even seen the rest of the game. Ubisoft sure is weird at marketing. So that's it, I wasn't sure if i was going to buy this game at first but now I am definitely not going to as there is no point. Oh, and can I remind everyone that this is the second time that Ubisoft has shown off the FINAL BOSS in gameplay footage and events?
Sorry if I sound too harsh on Ubisoft. I just don't get why they keep the rest of the game secret, but would let something like that to be viewable to the public.

Careful there, that could be considered spoilers. But after seeing the Rayman Origins preview at E3 many years ago in which they showed off the final level, it certainly seems like it.. let's hope that the game doesn't end there.
Yup. But are you saying that I am incorrect? It certainly seems like it to me..
Yes. You're as incorrect as Romney who's literally Hitler, Mittler in fact.
First off, I highly doubt this is the ending. They wouldn't make the same mistake twice. And even if, so what? I'll play the game for the gameplay and overall feel, the ending does play a role but it wouldn't make me think "shit I know the ending. What's the point of experiencing the game and ninety levels with beautiful art that people put a lot of thought and work and time into?".
Meh, even if it is the ending, given the light story, it was obvious the villain was meant to be defeated in the end, and since a previous trailer revealed the return of the Magician, all we know now is the potential how it happened.
This isn't as bad as when the Origins ending was shown at E3 but I will mega barf if that one I just saw there was the real ending, I am just so sick of Teensies full stop by now.
I think this is the one time I'm glad I missed a lot today. I'd rather not be spoiled too much about the game now. I want to wait until the release to see everything in full.

But they don't see it as a mistake. They just admitted that story isn't a top priority for them in this game. They know most people will not buy Legends based on its story - and conversely, they know most people won't skip the game just because some story details have been revealed. Showing off a spectacular new boss fight will only make people more excited about the game, which will lead to more sales. It's a smart business decision to increase the hype. It's disappointing for us die-hard fans who do care about the story, but Ubisoft won't lose sleep over that.
