This ending song, I think to this day, one of the best endings in a videogame ever aside from Rayman 2 of course- the beautiful music is so fitting, catchy and upbeat, I love it. The animation on this is FUCKING phenomenal also, makes me wonder why most of the Sonic shows on television fucking sucked.

If memory serves me correctly, Toei Animation were behind those 'toons.

Wow, if so the animation is just beautiful, really nicely done, I don't see much like that these days- must be me. These anime-looking cutscenes only make you want to play Sonic CD even more, just by WATCHING those cutscenes it fills you with excitement for playing it. The Japanese soundtrack was a LOT better than the American soundtrack also.

I prefer the JP Soundtrack overall, but I'm not a huge fan of some of the vocals in a few of them, particularly in "You Can do Anything"/"Toot Toot Sonic Warrior," but I love 'em if you subtract them.
However, there are some tracks where I do like the vocal work, the Bad Future of Metallic Madness for instance:

That's indeed one of my favorites as well. I just love the SICK catchy beat, most of the time you don't even know what it's saying- but YOU DON'T CARE- the beat is just so catchy.

I think one of the reasons the JP soundtrack works better for me is that it's much more upbeat, I think we've learnt that Sonic and gritty doesn't often meld together well.
I don't even know why I love the final boss theme either, it sounds completely silly compared to the sinister US version, and yet I still prefer it.

Glad we're on the same note. The soundtrack of Sonic CD is undoubtedly one of the most pure and fresh videogame OST's out there- it truly reminds me of the catchy J-pop which I truly love, very nice indeed.

Indeed, CD certainly had a unique soundtrack amongst video games.
Anyways, I've been listening to the Crack in Time credits:
I find this piece to be oddly relaxing, and it was a nice tune to cool down on after fighting the final boss.

I find it odd how I 100% completed the game and don't remember the credits music at all, it is pretty sick. The one from Tools of Destruction was also really awesome!

Ah, this:
It was a nice ending track, lightened up the mood given the downer ending.

I find it funny how it's titled "Let's celebrate" when Clank gets captured, haha. My god the music is truly catchy, one of the best OST's to any R&C games, makes me want to play a R&C game again.

I have been playing DeadLocked a bit lately- it's pretty awesome and all, but I honestly don't see what drives most people to say it's the downright BEST R&C game ever, if anything the future series I liked better- including the normal franchise, DeadLocked is a good spinoff though.

@Emshomar, so do I, alas, I only own Quest for Booty and Q-Force now.
My favourite OST overall from the series is probably CiT's.
Most people say that Deadlocked/Gladiator is the best? Huh, I wasn't aware of that, I thought the majority was for UYA.
It's this darn lag, I've been victim to it before, and as such have had a few accidental double posts in the past.

To go off on yet another tangent, Rayfist, did you ever hear about the cancelled Mega Man game made by some of the people behind Metroid Prime? I just remembered reading about this, and I know you're quite the Mega Man fan.

YES! Marverick Hunter! It looked REALLY good. Capcom is one of my favorite companies, but they just LOVE to dissapoint there own fans. They even cancelled MEGAMAN LEGENDS 3, WHICH IS WHAT I bought a 3DS for in the first place! Didn't know you knew I were a fan of MegaMan also :p My favorite is the X series and MM2. They cancelled about 5 MEGAMAN games in total- not a smart move CapcomMaster wrote:To go off on yet another tangent, Rayfist, did you ever hear about the cancelled Mega Man game made by some of the people behind Metroid Prime? I remember we owned Marvel vs Capcom 3 at some point, though I never got a chance on it, and it was quickly traded on.
I must say, I like the victory theme quite a bit:

Re: Music you are listening to now!
Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 kicked ass (I own the Vita port)- but man compare it to MVC2- MVC2 is SOOOOOOOOOO much better, better character roster, better balanced, and BETTER fucking soundtrack. The music on MVC2 is AWESOME. JUST LISTEN to that sweeeet music!
Marvel Vs Capcom 3 was certainly a let down in some aspects, still an awesome game nonetheless and very fun, and some great additions such as Dante and Frank West. But yes, not only am I a Megaman fan, but a Capcom fan in general. I may join the Capcom forums at some point when I get to play and OWN all the Capcom games I want to, and there is still quite a lot. They got me into Street Fighter, which is my favorite fighting game of all time, Marvel Vs Capcom which is second undoubtedly
