Re: Rayman Legends
If you don't have them next to each other, the Wii U version will be bright enough to hinder you spotting the difference. It's not like anyone will play both versions simultaneously and comparing the brightness.

You'd be surprised actually, haha. It really doesn't matter to me, glad I got the wii-U versionTheKopex wrote:If you don't have them next to each other, the Wii U version will be bright enough to hinder you spotting the difference. Someone here has been stepping too much the line of confort for my taste since a good while. It is better the storm calms down before something comes up.
@Squiz Honestly, I don't see a difference at all despite of the slightly brighter screen in PS3.

I'll be getting the Wii U version for sure, because... I really need to actually use my Wii U for something. I don't really have any games for it.

Hmmmmmmm
A brighter screen? or the exact same thing with additional levels and more gameplay mechanics? Hmmm
lol, totally going for the Wii U version. Also... Tomek, you're a sick bastard.

Re: Rayman Legends
Again, I'm 99 percent sure that the cause of the dimmer appearance on the Wii U is due to video compression, not an actual difference in the graphical output of the console. Or, maybe one was running through component and the other was HDMI. It really could be anything, but I don't think it should take any kind of a role in determining which version should be purchased. Potential but unlikely filters aside, I couldn't spot any aesthetical graphical differences whatsoever.
Re: Rayman Legends
It seems that all people I know here well are going with the Wii U version. What happened with people that voted PS3?

Same here. Either way, I'm getting the Wii U version. Because really, who cares if there's even a slight difference. They both look great, and as long as they play well, what else do you need?Adsolution wrote:Again, I'm 99 percent sure that the cause of the dimmer appearance on the Wii U is due to video compression, not an actual difference in the graphical output of the console. PS3 version is maybe voted most but It sure does feel like I am only one who supports it.

Re: Rayman Legends
I'll also get the Wii U version. I really need more games for this console, lately I've been only using it for the Rayman Legends challenge app.
I don't see much differences in the video... The PS3 side seems to be just a little brighter I think.

Re: Rayman Legends
I think after the whole Microsoft fiasco, more people are starting to switch to the Wii U because it's the most usable and less expensive of the two. If you've seen the stocks, sales for the Wii U pretty much skyrocketed.
Re: Rayman Legends
I'll also get the Wii U version (already pre-ordered in FNAC) since my console needs more games. My PS3 has got slightly more games but I won't exclude the chance that I'll be getting too at anytime the PS3 version.

Re: Rayman Legends
Interestingly, my feelings towards the Xbox One have actually softened. If you think about it, their goal isn't to make a console dedicated solely to gaming, it's an entertainment package in general. Instead of having a satellite, DVD player, and all that extra crap, it's basically the One entertainment package you need for your TV. I know I sort of sound like I was paid to write this, but I've lost the need to feel so cynical towards it. If you change your mindset ever so slightly, it really is a very nice thing to think about. It's simply that the ones giving the presentation was a horrid mess of nothing.Earth Gwee wrote:I think after the whole Microsoft fiasco, more people are starting to switch to the Wii U because it's the most usable and less expensive of the two. Though, the console is obviously still largely a gaming console. The specs are just as powerful as the PlayStation4's it's easier to programme for, and realistically, it has no disadvantage against it either.
Re: Rayman Legends
The only games that will save XBOX One from fail are new Halo, new Gears of War and if Rare announces new Banjo and Conker. I actually wish there was a crossover game called Banjo-Conker. As for the Wii U, New Super Mario Bros U and Pikmin 3 are best reason. Despite not liking Wii U that much, I would get it over XBOX One any day.Earth Gwee wrote:I think after the whole Microsoft fiasco, more people are starting to switch to the Wii U because it's the most usable and less expensive of the two. It has one HUGE disadvantage. It's region locked unlike PS4. I myself had huge problem with Wii and 360 until I did not mod them since 90% I import.Adsolution wrote:Though, the console is obviously still largely a gaming console. Re: Rayman Legends
We don't really care about the TV features... it's the used games policy that ruins everything. That includes the lack of retrocompatibility. And checking the specs, graphically, the console is a joke compared to ps4.Adsolution wrote: Though, the console is obviously still largely a gaming console.
