GOG Version has wrong music. There was MegaUpload link with fixed music so it's the same like in PS1 version, but we all know MegaUpload is reborn as Mega, and all old files are deleted.Robotic Teensie wrote:I use the GOG version of the game, they configured everything correctly. I can upload the "dosboxRayman.conf" file if you want... if you use that config file it might work for you too.

May I spam? No? Who cares?!

Everything is fixed, including SFX, Music, Gamespeed, Graphics and etc. It could probably be the best patch for all Rayman 1 Games.

Thanks for link. Too bad Japanese is not listed as Language. Intro in PS1 version was awesome on Japanese.emshomar wrote:May I spam? No? Who cares?!

If give the Japanease version of Rayman 1 for PC I can update the language right, now
Re: The Emulation Thread
There is no Japanese version of Rayman 1 for PC. It was only released on PS1 and Saturn in Japan, but can't you use PS1 opening movie and put it in patcher? Because Japanese version of Rayman 1 only has opening movie on Japanese. Everything else is in English.emshomar wrote:OldClassicGamer wrote:Thanks for link. I know that. I meant the rhetoric when I asked you.OldClassicGamer wrote:There is no Japanese version of Rayman 1 for PC. It was only released on PS1 and Saturn in Japan
I can change the intro. Is the picture of the intro itself changed or only the vioces?OldClassicGamer wrote:but can't you use PS1 opening movie and put it in patcher? Because Japanese version of Rayman 1 only has opening movie on Japanese. Everything else is in English.

Only voices are changed. Even Rayman is still purple.emshomar wrote:I know that. I meant the rhetoric when I asked you.OldClassicGamer wrote:There is no Japanese version of Rayman 1 for PC. It was only released on PS1 and Saturn in Japan

Re: The Emulation Thread
It does not have the "wrong music", the music is exactly right. However, the music was taken from Rayman Forever instead of the original version. That's why half of the tracks are missing, compared to the original game - it's because Rayman Forever itself didn't ship with all the tracks (they couldn't fit it all on the disc).OldClassicGamer wrote:GOG Version has wrong music. Re: The Emulation Thread
Anyone know of a GBA emulator for Rayman Advance that actually works well? I've tried Visual Boy Advance and No$GBA, and they both have some issues. Visual Boy Advance just seems to be a crappy, slow emulator with many sound glitches that struggles to keep the framerate correct, and doesn't even manage to do that the built-in recorder is used. No$GBA is a lot better, though it has some framerate issues and visual glitches that, on occasion, make it impossible to see the world map. However, it works a lot better than Visual Boy Advance, and doesn't have the many sound glitches that I experience when using Visual Boy Advance. My main gripe with No$GBA is that it won't save your settings, meaning that any change you make to the options menu will have to be repeated EACH TIME YOUR START THE EMULATOR!!!!

I think you need better computer in order to make GBA games work.technology4617 wrote:Anyone know of a GBA emulator for Rayman Advance that actually works well? Re: The Emulation Thread
I don't think that's the problem, because even a computer from 1995 should be good enough to emulate GBA games.

I use Visual Boy Advance and it works perfectly.technology4617 wrote:Anyone know of a GBA emulator for Rayman Advance that actually works well? I have a rig I built myself with an Ivy Bridge i7 processor and 32GB of RAM. -_-OldClassicGamer wrote:I think you need better computer in order to make GBA games work.

Re: The Emulation Thread
Again, I don't think performance problems can be traced back to the lack of a bios.... A bios is required to initialise the console, nothing else really.
Re: The Emulation Thread
Then what is the problem? I never had issues with GBA Emulation.Adsolution wrote:Again, I don't think performance problems can be traced back to the lack of a bios.... A bios is required to initialise the console, nothing else really.

Re: The Emulation Thread
The only likely thing I can think of are bad graphics/audio drivers. I'd suggest swapping between different ones, or looking up some recommendations.

Re: The Emulation Thread
Apparently No$GBA was just acting screwy when it wouldn't save the config before. Now it works fine so I'm using it from now on, though the video quality is poorer.Adsolution wrote:The only likely thing I can think of are bad graphics/audio drivers.
