Re: Rayman Raving Rabbids
^That minigame is EXCELLENT. Rabbids were hilarious not because of their current cheap slapstick... they used to be BRUTAL in terms of physical humor. Also, that reminds me that Rayman was a total badass in Rayman Raving Rabbids, why did they turn him into a coward in RRR2 and most notably RRR TV Party?

It's one of the best from the game.sergiomonty wrote:^That minigame is EXCELLENT. I'm not sure what happened to Ray in the other games. It feels more like he's just making a cameo appearance in a game about the Rabbids. Giving him a Rabbid voice in RRR2 was also pretty stupid.

Re: Rayman Raving Rabbids
It was cheap. Even the helium inhaled during the initial cutscene isn't enough to explain such atrocity.
Re: Rayman Raving Rabbids
PC Version of RRR2 for some reason only has 16 mini games.

Re: Rayman Raving Rabbids
Yeah it was like some crappy budget release in Russia or something, good thing the Wii version is just about compatible with Dolphin.
Re: Rayman Raving Rabbids
Well it's mostly kinda a demo, not a port.
Re: Rayman Raving Rabbids
Well, all Rabbids games after first one were released on PC, but as a downgraded port and like Rulez said, it is more like Demo. I found RRR2 PC MULTI 5 Version, but it is same as Russian one. I found once TV Party PC but torrent is dead. Rabbids Go Home, German version exist but it is rare, but I found Russian PC Version and it's also like a Demo. I am not sure about Travel in Time.

Re: Rayman Raving Rabbids
Indeed. I just watched the video twice over, and I'm loving is Raving Rabbids personality more and more. The scene where he cracks that rabbit into the goal net is especially brutal, it's just that well done.sergiomonty wrote:^That minigame is EXCELLENT. Re: Rayman Raving Rabbids
I kinda feel bad for the Rabbids now. It's like the class clown from school growing up to work at Burger King. I didn't expect their popularity to dwindle like this.
Re: Rayman Raving Rabbids
At the same time I believe that the Rabbids personality somehow evolved from RRR1 to RRR2. It is a little hard to explain but I do feel a difference when looking to their behavings in both games.
Re: Rayman Raving Rabbids
What is your opinion on beta Rabbids look that was shown on that trailer for cancelled game where you fight Rabbids? I liked how every Rabbid looked different, but when UbiSoft made every Rabbid look same, they created new icon and new brand.Haruka wrote:At the same time I believe that the Rabbids personality somehow evolved from RRR1 to RRR2. Re: Rayman Raving Rabbids
I honestly have a mixed opinion. Their design was excellent to give creepness and to give more that stamp of an enemy, but at the same time I prefer the current design way more than the old one. I can't deny they were brutally ugly.
Re: Rayman Raving Rabbids
The thing I did not like about old design is how they were walking like zombies. And on that trailer, I don't remember any of them tried to attack Rayman. They were just walking slowly while Rayman was beating them all.
Re: Rayman Raving Rabbids
The original design for the Rabbids was ugly. The look they had in RRR1 is how I like them best. It's the Rabbid design they have today, but a bit more, I dunno, raw?
Looking back at the original R4 trailer, I wonder what the game would actually have looked like as a final product. There's nothing that looks like Rayman 2/3, not even any gameplay like it. Do even know for sure if it was actually intended to be a platformer? Cause all I see is Ray fighting or riding things.

Re: Rayman Raving Rabbids
The difference is that the Rabbids were wild beasts that just wanted to destroy everything and get entertainment from the creatures that they torture. You can see that, the beautiful vegetation of the Glade in Rayman Raving Rabbids was turned into a wasteland by the Rabbids. Rayman had to tame them with his dance and charisma. That's why the Rabbids were so awesome, they managed to actually destroy the Glade and enslave everyone until they got bored and left to the Earth. Rayman could have stopped them but... Ubisoft thought it was funny to get him stuck in a hole.Haruka wrote:At the same time I believe that the Rabbids personality somehow evolved from RRR1 to RRR2. In Raving Rabbids 2 they're shown to be more like... party guys. They don't really want to torture anyone or destroy anything, but turn everything... wackier. Let's take the flying submarines as an example. They don't destroy the earth, they just want to "partyfy" everything. Ubisoft obviously tried to send a message with Rabbids Go Home... where the humans are boring and scared while the Rabbids want to bring fun. It was okay but... they didn't notice that what made the Rabbids so funny was getting lost.
Right now, they're just party guys that harm cartoonish humans and do whatever they want because fuck physics and fuck logic. And that's...generic, already seen in most recent cartoons. I think we used to enjoy the rabbids more because they used to be darker, and more evil.

Re: Rayman Raving Rabbids
Imagine what would happen to humans if Rabbids with personality from RRR1 came to earth to bulid tower to the moon?sergiomonty wrote:The difference is that the Rabbids were wild beasts that just wanted to destroy everything and get entertainment from the creatures that they torture. Re: Rayman Raving Rabbids
bad bad stuff
Re: Rayman Raving Rabbids
Rabbids Invasion television show confirmed in this E3. At least it makes me happier to be a TV show than a rushed videogame. I just didn't like the Xbox One part.
