Re: The Emulation Thread
OK, I'm back. It seems emshomar already posted my YouTube channel, but I really am going to make a Rayman Advance walkthrough very soon, since Rayman PC is currently lacking one, and the walkthroughs currently on YouTube kind of suck.
EDIT: Also, I wish to thank OldClassicGamer very much for subscribing, since it is very difficult to get views, even if your videos are good. I am hoping that the Rayman Advance and RE1 walkthroughs I will be making in the near future shall help with attaining views.

Re: The Emulation Thread
I would be looking fornward to a Rayman Ultimate walkthrough.

No problem. You deserved it with your good videos, and yes, I know exactly what are you talking about views. Same problem with me.technology4617 wrote:Also, I wish to thank OldClassicGamer very much for subscribing, since it is very difficult to get views, even if your videos are good.

Re: The Emulation Thread
Thanks. You understand my problem, and it's also disturbing to see people with inferior videos get more views. However, I'm wondering if my Rayman skill has dropped a little, since I keep failing at no-death runs, and all of the deaths are caused by something really stupid, like building up too much momentum on an Allegro Presto platform. -_- Well, I guess I'm going to have to do the old "save after every level and restart the save after you die" trick for the walkthrough, since I want it to be completely death-free. Also, emshomar, I'm going to do a Rayman for GBA walkthrough, not a Rayman Ultimate walkthrough. Unless those are the same or that is a recommendation?OldClassicGamer wrote:No problem. Re: The Emulation Thread
I would like to ask some contribution to the members. Could you write up reports just like I did to the Atari Jaguar report, and posting in here? I'll read it and edit the first post. Members that get their reports in the first page will be rewarded with Tings.

Re: The Emulation Thread
Here is my Rayman Revolution Report:

Emulator: PCSX2 1.0
Works?: Yes.
Reported by: OldClassicGamer
Notes: Not playable in the latest version of PCSX2. You must use PCSX2 1.0 or else game will have falling through floor glitch which makes game unplayable; can be upscaled at the risk of dropping framerate, emulator can use both ISO or actual disc. The only glitches are the framerate, that can drop to more than half in certain areas of the game.
Links for game:
Part 1: https://mega.co.nz/#!70IAzSwD!XSuyIn3cd ... 5Ij2Pp5eZ4
Part 2: https://mega.co.nz/#!Gt412CoI!UvCTGQexp ... 3ny3VRUwko
Part 3: https://mega.co.nz/#!qxB3GQqZ!O-DvJlBAR ... fnG6IyNCSo
Setup instructions (PCSX2 Version 1.0):
1 - Extract the folder and rename it how you want.
2 - Open "pcsx2.exe" and go to "Config", "Emulation Settings", "Speedhacks". In there, check the box that says preset and put it on 6- Mostly Harmful. Don't worry, it will not do any harm and it actually makes game alot faster .
3 - You can choose Plugin and Bios settings from Plugin/Bios Selector. I recommand using NTSC Bios since it plays with better framerate, and use GSdx 5334 SSE2 Graphics plugin. You can configure resolution how you like, but I recommand for this game using native PS2 Resolution because of Speed. Other plugins should stay default.
4 - Go on CDVD and select ISO of Rayman Revolution. Click on System and Boot CDVD Full. Game should work

Re: The Emulation Thread
Here is my report for Rayman Advance.
EMULATOR: No$GBA
WORKS?: Yes
NOTES: There is a strange glitch in the world map, and with some still images, where the subject will be off-center, and therefore hard or impossible to see. However, the gameplay is perfect, and the sound / speed glitches that exist when emulating with Visual Boy Advance are gone.

Re: The Emulation Thread
@TFD I think your report is quite incomplete, since you missed the step by step guide for the configuration of the emulator.
@OCG Good, here are 500 Tings as a reward for your time.
@Technology Good also, you'll get the same number of Tings.
(A quick note in particular to Technology: I actually use VisualBoyAdvance and I don't think my games have ever glitched.)

Technology, which version did you use to test Rayman Advance? It is an important detail!

Here is my Rayman M Report:

Emulator: PCSX2
Works?: Yes.
Reported by: OldClassicGamer
Notes: Playable in the latest version of PCSX2. PCSX2 1.0 is recommanded since it is the latest stable release and glitches might happen in SVN releases; ; can be upscaled at the risk of dropping framerate, emulator can use both ISO or actual disc. Can be used as an alternative to the PC version if you really cannot install the PC version on Windows 7
Link for game:
http://www.emuparadise.me/roms/get-down ... lable=true
Setup instructions (PCSX2):
1 - Extract the folder and rename it how you want.
2 - Open "pcsx2.exe" and go to "Config", "Plugin/BIOS Selector".You can choose Plugin and Bios settings from Plugin/Bios Selector. I recommand using NTSC Bios since it plays with better framerate, and use GSdx 5334 SSE2 Graphics plugin. You can configure resolution how you like, but I recommand for this game using native PS2 Resolution because of Speed. Other plugins should stay default.
3 - Go on CDVD and select ISO of Rayman M. Click on System and Boot CDVD Full. Game should work

Ye, nice quality, but the titles are a bit unorganised. Something like: Rayman Advance | Dream Forest - Pink Plant Woods (Revisited) would look better.technology4617 wrote:OK, I'm back. I feel like a displeased bastard telling people they aren't naming their YouTube videos good enough to be approved by me.

Re: The Emulation Thread
What do you mean by "revisited?" That was my first time playing the level lol! I also include the part number of the video, so as to not confuse people as to why I have certain powers and 1ups that they don't and stuff like that. The bosses are in a separate video from their level. And they're all in a playlist. How is that unorganized? Only thing I thought was that maybe I should list the worlds, but that didn't seem to be an important detail, since you can tell just by looking at the thumbnail anyway.Keane wrote:Ye, nice quality, but the titles are a bit unorganised.
