Are you phone dependent?
Are you phone dependent? Like, you can't drop out your mobile phone and always carrying with you? I also opened a poll.

Re: Are you phone dependant?
Hmm, as in, you always are deeply rooted with it, and require it constantly for social activities and the like?
Well, I do carry my phone often, but not for social networking and the like, more as a genuine mobile phone and then a few extras, such as gaming apps and utilities, which I can use to my benefit, such as a notes app that helps me keep on top of my work.
I found some other mobile phone related topics after a quickie search, these are the topics I found: search.php?keywords=phone&terms=all&aut ... mit=Search, it seems that this topic is fine.

I don't find I am. However, I guess I'm computer dependant. Fufufufu...

Re: Are you phone dependant?
I definitely use it for web browsing and such often, but I'm not glued to it constantly. I'm sort of in the middle, but slightly leaning towards dependent, so I'll choose that.
Re: Are you phone dependant?
I got an Android with Sprint and became very phone dependant, or rather, distracted by my phone. I downgraded for that reason, and am not 'dependant' on it as always.

Well, I rely on it for internet if the home internet goes out, so yes for internet purposes, otherwise, I hardly text and I hardly make any phone calls. lol

Yeah, I am depended on my Phone.
Re: Are you phone dependant?
I only use my phone for the essencial which is sending text messages and doing phone calls when necessary, otherwise I don't touch it. I also sometimes use it as an MP3 player.

Re: Are you phone dependant?
I've even compressed cartoon / anime seasons and put on here to watch my favorite shows on the go... unfortunately my MicroSD card died so I haven't gotten back to doing that again since I got a new card.
By the way, I just made this post on my phone.

Re: Are you phone dependant?
Ah yes, my phone does make a nice backup posting device when my laptop packs it in, though it certainly doesn't offer quite the same speed of typing I've grown accustomed to on my laptop's keyboard.
It was useful on getting my last few posts on record day after that horrible lag that became apparent during the end.

Re: Are you phone dependant?
I think perhaps this poll should offer a scale of dependence, 1 for excess dependence, and 5 or 10 for no need or not owning one.
Re: Are you phone dependant?
I use my cell phone only for communication - like smses or phone calls. That's pretty much it. Not much into cell phones. I feel they are overrated, but that's just me.
Re: Are you phone dependant?
I think smart phones are.
Kinda reminds me of this:
http://www.gagtrain.com/picture/7361/fl ... er/recent/
and I go "and people pay $100+ in bills for smart phones".
I did, but I do know there are cheaper plans of $50 but I would prefer $30. Fuck that expensive shit. I have the internet already.

That's a good idea, let me change that.Master wrote:I think perhaps this poll should offer a scale of dependence, 1 for excess dependence, and 5 or 10 for no need or not owning one.
Re: Are you phone dependant?
I think 7. I need my phone to have access to the internet when not using my computer, I have a shitton of music on it, Soundcloud if I need it, Pocketband Lite for if I want to make a quick music piece and/or demo for Adsoul, there's Facebook and other shit that I could on do the computer, I say having a smartphone is a 10/10 in my book.
Re: Are you phone dependant?
I selected 4, for the reasons I pointed before.

Re: Are you phone dependant?
I choosed 9, because I am highly attached to my iPhone. I manage most things from my phone and never leave my house without it. Like many others I have free Internet access and likely I am able stay 24 hrs online wherever I go. But they are times where I have to leave germany. Then I need to turn it off.

Re: Are you phone dependant?
I'd guess I'm at a 5, I use it for usual phone stuffs, play apps now and then, and as a backup web browser whenever the situation requires it, but all in all, it really hasn't much of a major effect in my life. Barring the ability to play apps on a convenient portable device , and being able to read email on the go in an easy fashion, it hasn't been an excessive leap from my old feature phone. Perhaps I'd be more dependant if I were more sociable online and offline, but as it stands, I think I use SMS more than any other available means of communication for my phone (including social networking).
