Re: E3 2013
Are you saying that a low-level, irrelevant Microsoft employee acting like a desperate dick inside a Best Buy that in no way represents Microsoft themselves is 'meaner' than the head of the PlayStation 4 team buying out and redirecting the domain name 'Xboxdone.com' to the PlayStation 4 homepage?
Please explain to me how you assess the different lengths of 'going.'

Re: E3 2013
Sony never insulted Microsoft in public like Microsoft did to Nintendo. Sure they did trolled them on E3 and made a parody video how to share game, but they never went and said directly to audience: "Don't buy Xbox One, PS4 has better games and features, Xbox One is bad console, why buy it?"
Microsoft on the other hand directly told customers that Wii U is bad and theat they should buy Xbox One. If Microsoft trolled Nintendo on same way like Sony trolled Microsoft, I would probably find it funny (I would find funny even if Nintendo made joke site for Microsoft or Sony as well). But to go and directly tell audience that some console suck? That is just bad in my opinion. The way of expressing things is important.

Re: E3 2013
You're doing it again, you're acting as if one:
Microsoft did not order one of their thousands of employees to randomly one day go out into a Best Buy and be a dick, in fact, that guy will probably be fired if he hasn't been already. Compare that to the heads, the brains behind Sony and the PlayStation 4, using the redirected name 'Xboxdone,' and being very obvious about it too.
No, this isn't diplomacy, this is taking in all the facts and comparing them side-by-side.

Re: E3 2013
I think Sony are taking the sly digs a bit too far now but its obviously making them money. Its like at the start of last generation when Sonys ego as a company was expansive and they thought their consumers from the Ps2 would buy a Ps3 regardless of the high price and lack of games on release, but thus the 360 began more successful gathering a large array of customers. Then at the end of this generation and the announcement of the Xbox 1, a similar thing happened with Microsoft thinking their loyal consumers would buy into anything they pitch regardless of restrictions or price. With Sony now on their high horse they could easily fuck up badly later down on the line.
Re: E3 2013
Thinking you are too good does indeed gets you in bad situation later. I agree. Right now I think we should stop finding good and bad things about all 3 companies. The fact is that All 3 of them make mistakes but all 3 of them makes good things too. Who knows? Maybe Xbox One suprise us all once? Only time will tell. Wii U recived a lot of hate too before, but now it is doing really good.
Re: E3 2013
Smartest thing you've said all week.
I don't really care that much about the current console war, tbh. A natural consequence of being a student, and too poor to afford any of the new consoles.

I like your new sig, Tobbe.
I don't buy next-gen consoles 'till mid-cycle anyways, let's see what the situation is like a few years down the line.

Re: E3 2013
This is my status as a gamer:
-I respect all PS4 lovers because, although the console doesn't have games yet, at some points it's gonna be a blast. I respect that.
-I think buying Xbox One might affect the industry, so when I say I'm against Xbox One, doesn't mean that I hate Halo, Gears of Wars or the rest of the franchises that the company owns. I just want Microsoft to wake up and rerelease an... I don't know, Xbox Two? that has the same tech (or improved) and doesn't have stupid policies over used games or country limitations. I still respect people who own a Xbox 360.
-I have a Wii U. I accept that it is going through a hard phase, but I enjoy my console and I'm proud of owning it.
As I say. I respect every type of gamers, but I'm against Xbox One because I could ruin the industry. However, being against a console just for matters of money doesn't mean that I praise the other consoles. PS4 is also doing some wrong shit, and Wii U has old tech. That's it.

Re: E3 2013
Instead of a fourth XBox I'd much rather see Microsoft abandon game consoles and let some other company enter the "big three."
And no, not the steam console.
EDIT: And why do even need to "respect" other gamers? The only interaction owners of consoles ever have is when the new consoles come out or when some shithead decides to go and tell everyone how much cooler he is by spending three hours a day defending a company that wouldn't mind pushing him off a cliff for a penny.

Re: E3 2013
I want Sega Dreamcast 2, and launch games should be Shenmue 3, Sonic Adventure 3, Jet Set Radio Future 2, and Super Magnetic NiuNiu 2 and other titles that need sequels.

I'll be the 10.000th person to say this... but I truly want Nintendo to buy Rare back. If only the company wasn't so Japan-focused they'll notice that what America and Europe want is that they purchase our beloved franchises back...
Re: E3 2013
Would Rare still be as good as it once was? If i'm not mistaken most of the masterminds behind their original games left when Microsoft took over.
Lol Sega is never going back to consoles. They are good enough just bringing out franchises. Besides their own games their consoles didn't have too much too offer after the 16 bit era.OldClassicGamer wrote:I want Sega Dreamcast 2, and launch games should be Shenmue 3, Sonic Adventure 3, Jet Set Radio Future 2, and Super Magnetic NiuNiu 2 and other titles that need sequels.

I agree with everyone else here, I want to see Microsoft ditch the console industry, I wouldn't mind them still making OS's, I actually though Windows 8 was decent, despite a lot of people hated it. Sega entering the industry would be pretty cool, the Dreamcast was a legendary system, Sega's console died a hero.

Re: E3 2013
It would be if Nintendo makes good use of it. It's not about bringing the developers of the Kinect games.... it's about bringing the franchises that we all loved. Grant Kirkhope is hoping to join back with his group and make a new B-K on Wii U... he's just asking Nintendo to give the money so they can do their magic.Keane wrote:Would Rare still be as good as it once was?
At some point, Nintendo will listen... but that moment is probably not now. It will take years. Maybe an entire generation of gaming. But at some point I'm sure we'll see the bear and the bird back to the place they belong.

I heared spiritual successor to Banjo-Kazooie will be made on 3DS and Wii U.

Re: E3 2013
Yeah, the guys said they had a talk about that on twitter. I don't know if they're actually doing something or if they dropped the idea. It's likely that they dropped it, especially when Grant Kirkhope said that he "still wishes he could join his team again" in the Game Grumps episode.OldClassicGamer wrote:I heared spiritual successor to Banjo-Kazooie will be made on 3DS and Wii U.
Re: E3 2013
It would be really sad if they dropped it. Well, maybe Banjo-Threeie gets made on Xbox One.
Re: E3 2013
Honestly, I don't want a Banjo-Threeie given the current situation. It wouldn't live up to expectations at all.OldClassicGamer wrote:It would be really sad if they dropped it. Well, maybe Banjo-Threeie gets made on Xbox One.
