< actually likes the PS1 version of R2 in particular because the changes/adaptations done, more concretely the Sanctuary of Stone and Fire that won a totally different section

And it is only version to have English voice acting besides PS2 version, but PS2 version had better acting in my opinion.

< prefers Rayman Revolution for PS2 over R2 for PS1 as well, but says to ^ that graphics do not make a game. Gameplay does

< Would like to remind ^ that the PS1 was the least powerful console that R2 came out, and as such ^ does have a point stating it doesn't compare to other versions graphically, however, < seriously recommends ^ to see past that, there are many rather interesting and dare < say, fun differences, <'s favourite being the extremely different final boss, though < won't spoil how it works to ^, though < hopes ^ will be pleasantly surprised.
