Tonight I was watching this AVGN show, which kinda explains easily what's the problem that most people have with the "evolution" of gaming:

To be honest, I have no problem with motion controllers... they're okay for entertaining kids... but for adult people, you must be kidding. It's like that Smart TV shit... most adults are fucking tired, they prefer to push a button instead raising a hand or talking to nobody by saying "NEXT CHANNEL". Indeed my dear friend, technology has evolved to limits where old movies could just depict as fiction... but... do people really need such expensive technology for the sake of not pressing buttons?
I could not agree more. I really didn't like Wii motion controls and I wish every Wii game was playable with Classic or GameCube controler. Take a No More Heroes as an example. NMH 2 was playable with classic controler but first one was not. WTH? I don't want to do all the motion control bulls***t.

No More Heroes 2 was my favorite game for the wii :3 hope they make a 3rd one

Oh and if you don't want motion control bullshit on No More Heroes 1, get the PS3 version, you can use the controller.

I disagree, I think, done well, the Wii control scheme is effective.
Sure, it may not be the conventional means of play, but games like Prime 3 have shown if done right, it can be as valid a control scheme as any typical controller can be.

I'll get more interested about motion control when it is able to completely be virtual reality. It doesn't feel like I'm truly inside the game yet. For now I'll just sit on the couch lazily with a controller.

Oh gawd, we finally get Microsoft to do something right, and some people just can't be happy about it!

The Xbox One Just Got Way Worse, And It's Our Fault
Microsoft just announced that its much-maligned DRM policies won't look at all like they originally had originally been described. They're going to more relaxed, sort of like the PS3's. Good news, you say? No. Bad news. The Xbox One just got worse.

I swear the people who are still trying to hate on the XOne and protect their dear PS4 get naked, light candles in a circle, and pray in front of a picture of Sony's logo before going to bed.

Funnily enough, Gizmodo US is under the same network as Kotaku, who published this article.

It's just the same with EA. Sure EA is... not very nice, but when they make something nice, like getting rid of Online Passes, people still just go as far as claiming them to be the Antichrist or something.

The problem with EA is that when they make something nice (SimCity 5) they usually find a away to destroy it (Forced online).

What's funny is they kept making claims it was impossible to have offline mode due to calculations on their servers for the game, yet someone found a super simple way to allow it to play offline flawlessly.

And this is why everybody should be somewhat educated on the way those kinds of things work, so companies can't make up complete bullshit and think they can have people believe it.

Here's the very page about how to do it too.

Small portion of the article:
If you're still holding on to a glimmer of hope that SimCity can be played offline, you probably won't want to look for it coming from the developers. However, modders and the gaming community at large are always looking out for your interests and with that said, there is a simple line of code made available so any and everyone can play SimCity offline.
For anyone with SimCity here, just look in there for the code.

But yeah, it's that simple.
