Re: Off Topic
In Japan, it is considered really bad if you get called Otaku. It is basicly an insult.

Re: Off Topic
Indeed, this terminology regarding those who affiliate themselves with Japanese culture is rather confusing.
Re: Off Topic
Word "weeaboo" is not used in Japan at all. Word "weaboo" is used by non Japanese people to insult non Japanese people who claim Japan is best country and will hate on everything else that is not Japanese.Rayfist wrote:I thought that was a 'weeaboo'OldClassicGamer wrote:In Japan, it is considered really bad if you get called Otaku. Re: Off Topic
Ah I see, I usually dislike weeaboos, while I love the Japanese culture, I can't stand the people here in America who obsess over it who know practically nothing about it.
Re: Off Topic
Fact is that most of weeaboos will only show interest in manga and anime and not go beyond that. They fail to see other great things about Japan, and it is definitely stupid if they hate being Americans. Thanks to them, normal people who like Japan can be attacked of being a weeaboo.

Not out of japan. Those people are simply proud to be called otaku. You? man, you're a total otakuOldClassicGamer wrote:In Japan, it is considered really bad if you get called Otaku. It is basicly an insult.
Re: Off Topic
I like Manga and anime and videogames. And, I also want to learn about Japan and it's language and eat it's food. (I might like samuruai stuff but not as much as videogames/anime/manga, but I know that's something they wouldn't be proud of)
So I understand why they wouldn't like America because we don't like what they really like.
I'm going to try and learn Japanese and try to learn about it's culture and eat it's food. Then do the other stuff I really like and try to be 'normal'.
This may mean one day living in Japan. Maybe I can do it.
But damn. I want to... have some Szechuan style chinese food... but wait. That's in China. Hopefully they have similar food in Japan. Spicy, and good.

Did someone call for a review?Adsolution wrote:On a totally unrelated note, I'm looking for feedback on this:
[ADSOLUTION'S COVER]
Well, first of all, let me just gush for a bit:Adsolution wrote:I'm doing full video covers of all the songs from Muse's first album, Showbiz, but I won't actually be uploading them until they're all done (this video is set to Unlisted). I've currently finished recording three out of twelve songs, and am currently working on editing the video portion of the second. But, before I continue, I'm wondering if I can receive some feedback on the first completed song/video here so I know what I could fix or change.
wot is dat I don't even--
Seriously; this is one of the most professional (video) covers I have seen in my life. The way you play with the different cameras, blur effects, fades, shots and angles is very cool to look at. Also, how can anyone not mention it, dat hair. I'm afraid those are the only words I can expend about it, but wow, I mean -- dat hair!
Next, the actual audio sounds very accurate. I'm surprised how well you've been able to train your voice to sound like Bellamy's. Do you always sing with 'this' voice, or do you use multiple? In any case, I also like how it's not a 'perfect Bellamy', if you get what I'm saying here - it's still got enough of your own style in it.
The sounds of the instruments blend well together, I like it (and I envy it too - I never seem able to get that 'consistency' in all my instruments).
The one thing about the instruments together is that in the 'heavier' part at 0:50 (I think it's the chorus), it suddenly sounds a bit like a wall of sound coming out of my speakers. Maybe that's what you wanted to achieve, but maybe it's just a little too full-on.
Also, I don't know if that's what that room always looks like, or if you've done a nice decor just for the video, but the surroundings, what with the Muse posters and your overall dress-up, are done well as well.
Overall, not many points of critique for you here; I really enjoyed your cover.
And strangely, you can immediately see that. It makes it all the more impressive, and it's also obvious, for some reason, that what you see in the video is what you were doing in reality. On the contrary, in the Muse video, you can clearly see it is audio-video synched.Adsolution wrote:These aren't lip/play-synced; I recorded every actual audio take I did with the camera as well.
But because you haven't, you can actually see your emotion as you sing, which is a great thing in itself.
I can't wait! Personal favourites of mine are Plug-in Baby and New Born; like to see what you'll do with them.Adsolution wrote:While in Showbiz I do have Falling Down, Unintended and Showbiz to look forward to, I seriously cannot wait to move onto Origin of Symmetry. There I'll have New Born, Space Dementia, Hyper Music, Plug-in Baby, Citizen Erased, Feeling Good and Megalomania, almost the entire tracklist to have the time of my life with.

Japanese and Chinese, hell, Asian cuisine in general tastes amazing. I just love the way they prepare their vegetables - so crispy and just about done, almost as if they can't not cook them perfectly...neo wrote:But damn. Re: Off Topic
I cannot wait for Ad's Muscle Museum and of course Fillip. And also Sober. And really any track from Showbiz. Will you be doing Spiral Static?

It's like they have all the best video games too, special editions and such. I've seen quite a few pictures of some people's collections. Awesome stuff.neo wrote:I like Manga and anime and videogames. And, I also want to learn about Japan and it's language and eat it's food. Re: Off Topic
They did it!!!
The development team of A Hat in Time achieved one of their most important stretch goals: A tune composed by Grant Kirkhope, the composer of Banjo-Kazooie, Golden Eye and DK 64!!!
They also revealed their box art, which is a kind love letter to the classic N64 boxes!

I also had the opportunity to talk with someone from the development team, they are incredibly nice people!
Since they sent a beta to some popular youtubers (in order to get some advertisement for their kickstarter), I recommended them to send a copy to the Game Grumps (because their fanbase actually helped Shovel Knight with their stretch goals), especially because they have a strong connection with Grant Kirkhope and the Banjo-Kazooie series. For a second I thought they wouldn't answer to my dumb message... but I had a great surprise!!
Their answer:
Well... looks like we got a new Game Grumps episode thanks to me
By the way, for those who are interested in what's going on with this game, here's a funny playthrough of the first chapter. It looks GORGEOUS:

Re: Off Topic
I think, one issue I've had with a few YT gaming channels, is that their intros can be rather excessive, they outstay their welcome, I don't mind your new intro, it's pretty simplistic, and it focuses more on what you do (compared to your old montage-esque intro, which I felt was too long, and I often skipped), though I think it teeters very close to being a little too long.

This is one of my favorite intros.
Re: Off Topic
Thanks for sharing your opinions. When he asked me how much I want it to be long, I said a lot shorter then previous one. Now only thing I need is One Channel Trailer but I do not want to bother him with it. He already helped me with video intro and outro.
Re: Off Topic
Sergio, when did you ask them? Because it's been known that the devs contacted the Grumps for a few days,
