Damn, this is art in it's pure sense. That my dear lady is not awesome but mindblowing. Great and amazing work! Just saved it on my hard disk.

I also thought about the Temporal Palace a little bit more. Why not add some some portals which bend time and space looking like a whirlpool in water (not a black hole, that's just too common) which leads to a little black and white (Limbo-style) 2D-level or minigame. For old times sake. This level doesn't have to be big, just as wide as the common desktop screen reaches. After you beat the minilevel all the movements you made become blurred out, showing a picture with all the movements graded one after the other and blurred into each other. As the picture vanishes all shown movements come together in one point, Rayman. Then he's back in his 3 dimensional form. I don't know if this is possible, but it would add something to the atmosphere I think.

Ad, please for Polokus' sake use Gwee's picture as a loading screen for the Temporal Palace, or include it in a concept art bonus or anything similar, this is absolutely gorgeous!

Oh crap, just the habit of daily posting. Sorry. *Changed* That doesn't change my opinion that this is awesome.

Good idea. And the clocks would be a cool background for the 2D-level I mentioned.

Gwee, that's a wonderful piece of art you've made there! :D It'll definitely be incorporated in some form, likely as a loading screen. When a concept art booklet is put together (in conceptualising for a special edition release), it'll be included there as well. That is, if you're alright with that.

Thanks again for this beautiful contribution. I'm glad that the Palace's motives manage to move you so.

That reminds me to ask if you Adsolution will make this game multilangual (German, English, French, Japanese, Chinese, Arabic, Spanich, Polish, Italian, Dutch,...).

Yes, I will be. The main languages that will be included with every public or private demo/test will be English, French and Dutch. Other languages will only be added in for the final release.

Now this is where things may get interesting, as we'll eventually need voice actors for those three languages. Along with that though, there will also be option to have them audibly speak Raymanian instead of their subtitle language. As for the other languages, unless we have the resources to find other voice actors, we'll likely just have the other languages in subtitles with the characters speaking Raymanian.

The thing about this game's Raymanian is that we'll have to end up recording separate gibberish dialogue for every scene, and that will require a lot of practice for all those who wish to participate, as having been practicing it for a long time, being able to create and speak convincing Raymanian-styled gibberish is immensely difficult.

Will be the characters able to talk and will they talk all languages you will apply to this game?

And also, are you going to change or sensor things in your game because of different regions?

I already answered your first question in my last post.

And it depends. If need be, I'll make Rayman blue for the Asian releases like before.

Yes! Please! Use it! I love that you like my piece that much! :D
I kinda feel like I could make the clocks look better, though. If I could go back and do that, would that be all right?

Also, I can detect three different voices (all of them I know are you) in the song. I've been curious as to which characters the voices belong to.

Gwee... wow but just... wow, I have to comment on that, that is freaking phenomenal. I was even going to suggest to Ad to put that concept art in the game, but it seems he is already super proud of it. Good job!

Oh? I'm interested. If you ever want a translator, I'd love to help out - I just hate it when a beautiful English scene is ruined by crappy makeshift Dutch. This is an inherent problem in translating, I realise, but I've seen it done well, sometimes even better than the original, so I know it can be done.
I love to preserve the original feel of something when I translate; if you'd have me as a Dutch translator, you'd know I'll stick to that principal. ;)

Cool! And I agree - I've been trying to come up with Raymanian gibberish myself, sometimes. It works a lot easier for the Robo-Pirates than it does for the alive ones, I've come to find.

Wow. it's been a long time I haven't been there. I apologize, as this is my favourite topic so far.

It would show that Rayman is not one of the most powerful beings but more or less an involuntary hero in a greater universe full of magical beings and things. There could also be some bittersweet stories about the time and how time influences the life of all beings. Because neither Rayman nor a human player could really see but only imagine this (let's call it simply the "fourth") dimension, there could be some symbols (the famous hourglass) or baroque-like allegories (Titian's Allegory of Prudence for example), riddles and all that kind of stuff. To see the all events happening in time all together on a big screen, just to notice that all events (life, death) just gathers together in time like there one and that everything is just a little spark in something which is just so much bigger, that someone cannot even imagine it. Mare Saeculum, the ocean of time.
Optical illusions (M.C. Escher style, surreal like Salvador Dali, Anamorphosis: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anamorphosis or here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Optical_illusion) can also show the weirdness of time from our limited perception. I know that this is some serious stuff I mentioned but I think there is much to get out from this interesting topic, especially for a magical universe like Rayman's world.
That's a nice comment. I am also very interested in TTP, but as i saw an exhibition of Dali at Paris, I find it very weird to be adapted to Rayman universe. Many things can be used in this world where time is everything, but not too much.

I just thought to an idea about this world

Why not using them to show some dark elements of the "future" Rayman games, like the beginning of R2 (hey, why not with Ly's voice with the text of the intro of this game in the background, that would be incredible), a look at Mister Dark or even Reflux/André (in their not wacky sequences of course).

So gorgeous, even more as a loading screen. It could be getting clearer as you would be going further and further through TTP, only revealing crying Rayman in the last levels of it.
By the way, take some tings, Earth : you deserved them (fak, now I want to draw something again about TTP but I don't have the time...).

I think that the Temporal Palace is the world which brings out of us the biggest interest in ROTD so far. Maybe because of all the concepts and stuff you could give to it Ad'.

You know how to make cool pieces of art, GN...so use it to cheer the crew and give some ideas. Ad is always happy as you give him free draws (like Earth did, in fact).

huehuehue, tons of quotes. i'm a lazy writer :P

I think you're right with this point. It's hard to find a balance between all those motives and stuff never seen before in a game like Rayman and to make it all fit to the his universe, too. I think some motives fit well and others may not. As long as it is not forced to fit, it's a feature and enrichment.

I think that's a fantastic idea. Maybe a sequence with all voices going into the next voice all together, hearing Andrè's evil puddle, Ly's voice, showing the coming menace and all that stuff would be cool, but only some slight indications.

There is one thing concerning Rayman 2 that came into my mind thinking about the end of Rayman 1.5. It' seems a minor detail to others but has to be considered in my opinion which is the following: According to the description of Razorbeard given in the Playstation manual of Rayman 2 (if I remember it correctly) he has conquered several hundred worlds with his army. That means there has to be a longer time period between Rayman 1.5 and 2 and a plausible explanation why he leaves the planet and conquers other worlds and then strikes back. Often unnoticed, the robo-pirates are also space-pirates. Just wanted to mention it for possible canonicity problems.

This is a fantastic idea. Maybe there could be subtle hints in there to The Magician's betrayal?

Another question, will Jano show up anywhere in the game? Maybe as like a wall carving, or a quick cameo? In fact, he could probably appear in the Temporal Palace too, seeing as he has a big role in Rayman's back story. Another interesting idea, maybe have several sections of the Temporal Palace turn into areas from Rayman 1 that you didn't fit into the game, like Candy Chateau, or Skops' Caves and the Blue Mountains.
