< is at least thankful they're not this bad : http://img-cache.cdn.gaiaonline.com/12a ... me-025.jpg
At that point you can safely hide behind the 'it's stylised' trick. :P

< hates it when people use "IT'S MY STYLE!" as an excuse for their shitty art. Even if <'s art is cartoony and stylized, < still thinks anatomy is a very important thing to know.

< agrees, though < doesn't mind stylised proportion, there's only so far one can go.
< has a bit of a headache, the heat isn't helping at all.

< somehow slept like an hour longer than usual. < is actually glad because lately < has been going to sleep around 0:30 and waking up at 8:40 or so, which was pretty fucking boring.

< was at the Canada Day festival in Victoria today. Very, very nice weather, the heat was perfectly balanced out by the nice, cool breeze. Since < got to the harbour (where they set off the fireworks) an hour early, < arrived before most of the tens of thousands of people that eventually showed up; streets were closed off all the way from Government Boulevard to Yates Street, which is about an eight-block radius. Unfortunately, it hardly paid off. While this interesting but nice jacket < found in an alleyway kept < decently warm, it just became chaotic, as apparently there were more people here than ever before by at least double. Not thirty seconds after the fireworks started was there a fist-brawl, screaming and attempted rape about two towels behind < (luckily, the police happened to have a post just a few metres away, so not too much harm was done); < really doesn't want to know what else might have happened all around the massive crowd. Also, the fireworks only lasted six or seven minutes due to the rockets becoming so expensive, or something like that.

Basically, it was like an even more unorganised Reading/Leeds festival with a five-minute main event, and only one band playing in the corner that was barely audible at any kind of a distance. The best part of the night was probably when < got back to <'s hotel room just in time for American Dad at 22:30. Even with the loud buzzing of police and ambulance sirens going off outside, that was much more of an enjoyable experience than waiting outside in a dirty, pot-filled crowd for two hours with a ridiculously brief climax. < so far has had quite a boring, claustrophobic, crummy Summer. There's been nothing to do, and when there has been, there hasn't been enough personal space to do it properly.

< is very annoyed with <'s academic situation as well. < has literally successfully passed one single course since the end of grade ten, almost two years ago. To graduate, < has to complete another 7 to 11 courses, but < sees less and less of a point in doing so. Why spend thousands of dollars going to an institute for post-secondary where <'ll be learning stuff < already knows? < is worried that choosing not to graduate in pursuit of <'s own lifestyle could result in a harsh shortage of money in the future unless < is actually able to find a very sturdy job in composition (the only job < could picture <'s self doing as any kind of an employee for someone else, and one of the only jobs in which no one gives a rat's ass about a diploma for). < is usually a very optimistic person, but this stress of not knowing what to do in such a critical situation when you have your family, your only source of literal shelter forcing you in the other direction, is just breaking <'s mind. < certainly has no desire to continue <'s schooling, but < isn't sure how hard < will be making it for <'s self if so, regardless how skilled < may be in a particular area. < already knows that the likely outcome, and what < desires most is to quit school and face the world, but the thought of being able to actually complete school and go to the Art Institute (experiencing the community environment) is so euphoric. Then again, that euphoria could also just be an illusion created by the biggest kind of peer-pressure of all.

You seriously prefer to get payed by with something that you cannot use in real life? Sure Tings are nice and I am glad Humch made ranking system on PC, but selling something to earn them? I think Tings should be earned by posting, Teensie Quiz and contributing to the community and not by selling games. Just my opinion.
