Re: Worms
Re: Worms
I got recently the Steam version of Worms Armageddon. I am so happy since the retail version had problems with the online matches and these are workable again. This is still the best Worms that I've ever played.
Re: Worms
I heared Team 17 will make a patch and merge Armageddon and World Party into 1 game one day.
Re: Worms
I never played Worms World Party properly, but I wouldn't mind in purchasing a copy if Steam ever releases it one day.
Re: Worms
It's pretty similar to Armageddon. Only reason why was it made is because Sega wanted Worms for Dreamcast that is able to be played online. Team 17 thought that it would not be profitable if they only make it for Dreamcast so they made it for other systems too. You are not missing much. But I do like how you can check some trivia and interesting Womrs stuff.
Re: Worms
I screwed around so much 3D games. I remember escaping from the islands by building a path of girders and when I was far enough from the island, there would be a glitch where the girders become invisible. Yay, floating worms away!
Re: Worms
Just to say Worms Clan Wars is -25% on Steam
It's a pre-order
It's a pre-order
Re: Worms
Maybe you should get Worms Armaggedon then, it is basically the same, in fact it has more things that WWP and there are 2 active programmers that have been updating the game for years. Also if you want to try something newer you could pre-order Clan Wars for 25% off and receive a free copy of Worms Revolution! But my best advice is... wait for Winter SalesHaruka wrote:I never played Worms World Party properly, but I wouldn't mind in purchasing a copy if Steam ever releases it one day.
Re: Worms
Err, didn't I tell before I own Worms Armageddon?

Re: Worms
Oh damnit, my bad >.< Just wanted to give some advices as I have some worms knowledge. But still,if you already own Armageddon I dont think there would be any point on buying WWP except maybe for missions, but the strong part of the game is the MP and armageddon has the most active comunnity of all the series.
Edit: I mostly read all the posts I just skiped the most important one for my post, that's embarrassing.

Re: Worms

Re: Worms
Bump
I remember I used to love the original PS1 version of worms, that and Rayman are 2 games I remember playing a lot as a kid. I'm wondering are there any fans of the game that have played the original and if any of the newer Worms games are worth my while buying?
I thought it made more sense to bump this than to make another thread about it.

Re: Worms
Man, if I had known about this thread earlier...
Anyway, my favorite Worms game so far is Worms 4: Mayhem. I love the cartoony feel to it and the locations you get to fight on. Like it's just so cool to fight at a construction site and a desert for example. Or at a restaurant for example! Also, I just love the funny items you can use to try to defeat your enemies... like you can use a freakin' flying sheep that you can control that explodes into pieces upon impact and even makes a "baa" sound! I remember I used to have so much fun with this game (I mean, I would have fun with it even now) and I just love this game! That main theme brings back so many memories...

Re: Worms
The sheep was actually in the original game too funny enough
I think I did play some Xbox 360 version of Worms before too and I played Worms 3D years ago. The PS1 game was so much fun back in the day. I remember my uncle and I used to play it a lot and then I got my own copy of the game when I was like 8, good times
